  1. Lord, I was like Fred Sanford clutching my chest at that proposal! Pregnancy must be a good color on Tiffany, because this was the nicest she's ever been. Interesting with the different POVs, but the tonal shifts were confusing. Especially after Issa and Lawrence's emotional conversation, then jumping to Issa and Molly having dinner. Of course NeighborBae was using Issa's wifi. I'll miss him. Disappointed that they left Molly's job situation up in the air. Giving her that pitiful elementary school award. That should have been the final incentive for her to leave the firm. LOL, Ahmal is a terrible landlord. While I can't blame Issa for not wanting to live with him, Daniel was the worst possible second choice. Really? We're going back to that? He must really be sprung on her. That scene with Issa and Lawrence was heartbreaking. And once Lawrence teared up I was done. Glad he finally owned up to his part in the bullshit. Ok, Lawrence. You're off my shit list. Bye Aparna. Don't blame her for dumping Lawrence, but I wasn't a fan of her, anyway. I knew the boss would find out about the issues at the school, but again, how is this all Issa's fault? Why the hell did she take all the blame? Frieda gets promoted, despite knowing about the problem and not doing jack shit about it? Seeing Issa kiss up to her was painful. Not soon enough!
  2. Depends on your landlord/property manager. My property manager posts notices on the door about everything: rent increases, fire drills, "surprise" inspections, you name it. The last manager who owned my building used to mail notices, though.
  3. She really is. At least Derek had that heart to heart talk with Lawrence a few weeks ago. Even when she tries to counsel her friends, Tiffany just comes off like an arrogant snob. She's annoying, not funny. Too bad, because I was looking forward to seeing Amanda Seales in an acting role again, but the less Tiffany, the better. The carrot cake thing didn't bother me, though. Wasn't it Derek's favorite?
  4. A lot to unpack tonight. We all saw that confrontation coming, but it was worse than I thought it would be. Lawrence took it too far in calling Issa a ho. Fuck him for saying that. Lawrence shouldn't have brought Aparna, anyway. There was no need for her to go to the party. Good for Molly realizing that this open relationship stuff just doesn't work for her. I guess she's supposed to be in love with Dro, now? Welll, she can't be Dro's girlfriend with his wife sitting there, and she has no real place in Dro's world. But after seeing Candice, I think Dro's open marriage is legit. Prediction: Molly will take a job offer in Chicago to get away from Dro, not just for the raise that she deserves. Of course, she'll either leave shortly after or she not go at all, but I do think she'll take the chance. The moment between her and Issa at the bathroom was great. Talk about seeing your best friend at her worst. Well performed by Issa and Yvonne. Daniel said some dumb shit, but I don't think he came in Issa's face as some way to get revenge. Not rooting for them anymore. Too much strife. Daniel, let it go and lose her number. I am rooting for Kelly and Sweetie, though! And Kelly's animosity towards Ahmed and that silly ass party was everything. I figured Principal Gaines was deliberately steering the Latino kids away from We Got Y'All. While I'm glad Issa called him out on it, it still bugs that the sole responsibility lay on her to do it. Nothing was stopping Frieda from taking action, so why didn't she? Still, I'll take it if it means putting this plot to rest.
  5. You could see Dro's very visible dick outline on the towel, before he left the hotel. Tried to keep that sentence PG, but that's not really possible, is it? LOL, it is!
  6. Issa was really immature, to Nico and about NeighborBae. She tried my nerves this week. I think she really got mad with Daniel (and not just for the obvious reason) because she's not sure what he wants from her and that's making it confusing for her during this "hoetation". She needs to cut him loose and grow up. I did laugh at her closed eye while she was yelling at him. The writers need to flesh out Tiffany more. Whatever is going on with her husband needs to be revealed already, because she doesn't bring much otherwise. Yes, Molly, his wife is going to call occasionally. That's why an open relationship (or just being his side chick) doesn't work for you. Still, he left a lovely print on the towel. Thanks for that visual, Dro! The lady who was giving out the condoms was one of the writers, Regina Hicks. I love that they feature them in small roles. The infamous "flute twerker" from the BBQ is a writer as well.
  7. That crossed my mind, too. Even if he lives, there's a possibility that all of the warriors at the Wall could be turned.
  8. I swear, if something happened to Tormund...he better be OK. As in safe, not just alive. He needs to be back onscreen next season, talking about his potential monster babies.
  9. A lot went on this week. I think the trailer for this episode were kind of misleading. The stuff with Frieda and Lawrence's jury duty were blips on the radar. The stuff with Molly and Dro, along with Issa's "hoetation" were the real meat of the episode. They even did a quick stint in Chicago. Cry me a river, Lawrence. Derek spoke the plain truth, and Lawrence needed to hear all of it. I understand him licking his wounds because of Issa's cheating, but assuming that their whole relationship was a lie, just because of some random pics with Daniel? Of course this bogus idea conveniently lets Lawrence off the hook for taking any responsibility for their relationship falling apart. Please. Lawrence needs to sit his ass down and grow up. I'm done feeling sorry for him. Molly's histrionics at the vow renewal were unnecessary. Like before when she learned about Dro's open marriage, I'm assuming it was a cover up for her own feelings. You would have thought her father's mistress showed up at the reception looking for some wedding cake. That said, I'm starting to believe the consensus about Dro's open marriage being a sham. Candace's frequent absence is just too suspect. Maybe she's off having "fun" on her own, but I don't think so. Molly was smart to acknowledge that being in an open relationship doesn't work for her, but I knew she and Dro were going to hit the sheets once they left the vow ceremony. It was too obvious. But I can't blame Molly too much because Dro is sexy. His voice just does things to me, and don't even get me started on his height. Even Lionel commented on it! And poor Lionel. Molly needs to let him go and stop pretending she really wants him. If Daniel really is into Issa more than she's into him, he needs to bail. But it wouldn't be Issa's fault this time. She was upfront about what she wanted, and more credit to her. Her hoetation may be awkward, but it's still a hoetation. And gloriously awkward it is. Dick pics and car crashes and Neighbor Bae, oh my! The stuff with Frieda is messy. They're both right and they're both handling it badly. Issa is ignoring the problem and hoping it goes away, Frieda is acting passive aggressive and doesn't want to take any action. I still think the director is going to find out and Issa's going to get in trouble for keeping this from her. Aw, Walt from Lost was one of Molly's brothers. Malcolm's all grown up. I knew I recognized him.
  10. Kelly getting fingered under the table gave me life! I thought she'd been drugged at first, with her eyes rolling back. At least someone had a good time at the party. I'm glad Tiffany wasn't there. She's pretty annoying and one note. Molly's shock and awe over Dro had me rolling my eyes a little. Not about the open marriage, but her denial that she actually liked Dro. Molly made no attempt to speak to any other guy at the party, and shot down the few that Dro mentioned to her. And it wasn't like Dro was discouraging her from socializing. They were just too close. Folix may have been cute, but he was also a colossal dick. Such a rude, insulting jackass. I wish Issa would have pushed him in the pool. And Issa tweeted that she based that scene off of a real life experience, poor girl. I really liked her performance this week. It's clear that while Issa is happy to get out there and enjoy her "ho phase", she's still awkward at heart and doesn't know how to initiate things. Which I appreciate. Dating is hard. If she wants to hook up with Daniel for real this time, she should go for it. The scene with Lawrence and the cop was brilliantly filmed. Jay Ellis did a great job of selling Lawrence's fear, and his underlying hesitation to laugh at the officer's pathetic excuse of a joke. An obvious power dynamic between the two men, which went right over the officer's head. Anyone notice Lawrence drop his ATM card when he was searching for his license? Which started off his interesting adventure. Those girls didn't lie, they were trouble. Ugh, such trash. Once the fetishizing started, I hoped Lawrence would just push them off and leave. Once I saw him parked in his car, I figured he was Issa's apartment, or Tasha's. Can't say I feel bad for him there. Chad is hilarious. That is all.
  11. It's implied that she did. Abe said that years after Abigail's capture, the ring received a letter written in code from "Agent 355", and it was sent from Nova Scotia. I wish we could have seen her reunite with Cicero, though.
  12. As someone who fell off this show a while back (just got too crazy in s3 for me to keep up) I thought this was a nice ending. In retrospect, I'm not surprised about the anti-climactic ending for Coady and the action stuff. Ultimately, they wanted to bring the focus back to Sarah and her sestras. I got really choked up during Helena's birthing scene, which I feared would end up tragic, like one of the babies not surviving. It was incredibly moving, and Art and Sarah were an amazing team. I'm glad Helena's sons were alright. I knew one of the babies would be named after Art! Pretty open and shut. No more bad guys and no more being chased. And now that they have the list to cure the Leda's, it really does seem like happy ever after. But for the most part, I'm ok with that. Considering what these women went through, they deserve a nice ending.
  13. Wal-Mart has some shady practices, but I do love this commercial. I keep thinking that really is Gal Godot and Henry Cavill, lol.
  14. IIRC, this couple was featured on Buzzfeed. The husband is a photographer, and all the photos are of his wife doing that exact pose; her stretching out her hand to him as they head to whatever destination they're going. Her clothes change according the destination (they got a lot of flak for her wearing traditional Indian garb when they went to India) but they were a big hit. Not surprised that they're finally in a commercial.
  15. IKR? I really thought Peter was going to burst in the room during the live filming, screaming that he changed his mind and wanted to marry Rachel or something. Like, something had to make this mess of a finale worthwhile. But nope, it really was that blatant and obvious. This format was a mistake. Ruined any real possibility of suspense. I actually liked Peter, but he screwed up. Rachel's been saying all season that she wants to get married at the end of this, and Peter's been waffling on that since beginning. If that was the case, Peter should have bounced a long time ago, or Rachel should have just wised up and sent him home. Neither of them were going to change the other's mind. But Rachel's behavior with Peter vs her behavior with Eric was very telling. Rachel ultimately rejected both men in the eleventh hour, but Peter's farewell was marred by tears and endless introspection, while Eric's farewell was calm and decisive. Same with their respective reunions. Rachel was openly bitter and angry with Peter, while she wished nothing but the best for Eric. If she had said OK to just living together with Peter, there would have been no contest. But she shouldn't have had to change her real desire to make any of them happy. That said, I'm sure she got the proposal she wanted, just not the man. Eric didn't do much for me, really. Sweet guy, but something about him seemed so juvenile. But he handled himself very well tonight. And wow, does that beard work for him. Matures him and makes him sexy. Keep the beard, Eric!
  16. I noticed that, too. I wonder if it was because they already had cameos this week with Sterling K. Brown and Luke. Maybe they want to space them out.
  17. I wish this show was an hour long. Tasha dragging Lawrence was well deserved. Nothing wrong with just hooking up, but Lawrence can't play the role of a boyfriend and bail when it's inconvenient. He didn't even bother calling Tasha to let her know what was going on. Dick move, Lawrence. He shouldn't have gone in the first place. Poor Issa, being so sexually frustrated. Fwiw, most remote controls use AA batteries, Issa. I'm just saying. Her taking back the charger had me cackling. I don't blame her, they're not cheap! Who was that texting her at the end? Sterling K. Brown (Lionel) was looking too yummy tonight. So used to seeing him as Randall. Too bad he and Molly aren't going to happen. I'm really disappointed that Molly is putting her therapy on hold. I suspect it's because her therapist is revealing things (like the truth) that Molly doesn't want to hear. On a shallow note, I am loving Molly's style this season. Her hair, her clothes, she looks gorgeous. I'm torn on the school situation. On one hand, Frieda isn't wrong. But I also understand why Issa is being tight-lipped about it. It was hard enough for them to keep the program going, and now they have more than enough students to sustain it. My concern is that word will get out about what the principal is doing, and it will get back to Issa's boss.
  18. A few weeks ago, I googled the show to read about the contestants, and the Wikipedia sidebar displayed Candice's name as the current winner. Whoops. So much for the surprise. I made a similar mistake for the final season of Downton Abbey, lol. But I get it. I wasn't always a fan of Candice's bakes, but she was consistent throughout. Congratulations to her! Her dog was so cute. Good job to Andrew and Jane, as well. I'll miss our "gingineer" and Jane's hilarious side eye. I wish I could have seen the bit where she and Candice arranged a road trip, that would be hilarious. I will also miss the original cast. Mary really is the heart of the show, and I can't imagine the tent without Sue and Mel making jokes and encouraging the contestants. I might tune in to the next season to see how it goes, but it won't be the same. Same. I caught MasterChef the other night and couldn't watch the whole thing. I'm so tired of the screaming and meanness of reality TV. This show is a breath of fresh air.
  19. This sounds dumb. It also sounds like they're retconning the latter half of season eight, not just the finale. At the time, Grace was pregnant, Will and Vince got back together, Will's father died, and so on. MTE and that's why it feels so lazy. The show ended over a decade ago and they're keeping them in the same place. Not here for them whining about single life again. Will and Grace's codependency on each other is why they ended up where they did by the series' end, and the writers knew it. Grace's stale saltine of a husband will be making a brief appearance, according to the article. Nothing against HCJ personally, but I'll never understand why they saddled Grace with Leo. Maybe they realized how bland he was and always had Leo "conveniently" traveling for work.
  20. I was wondering that, too. According to IMDB, Jay Ellis is 6'2, while Neil Brown is 5'9. And wow, do they look good. I'm all for them wearing tight T-shirts for the remainder of the season.
  21. Thought this was better than last week. All the characters came across a lot better and showed more depth. I felt bad for Tasha. She's clearly a rebound, but I think she's catching feelings for Lawrence and doesn't want to just be a hookup for him. If Lawrence really is done (don't think he is) than Issa needs to move on and move forward. I see you, Germy Patty! Loving these drop ins from the old cast. I was expecting her to whip out some tissues while showing them the apartment. Chad is hilarious, he can stay. Glad that Molly is getting more out of therapy, I think this can only help her. The last scene with Hannah confused me a little. I'm guessing Molly's doing the extra work so she can make herself look better? Or is she actually interested in going to Chicago? Would love to know what weirdness was going on with Tiffany's husband/boyfriend? Why was he living in a hotel? Hmm...
  22. Wasn't impressed with Windy City Flip. It's not like it was bad or anything, it just follows the same bland formula that all the flipping shows use. Choose and buy a property, run into some type of structural issue (in this case, the walls collapsing) wring hands over "mounting costs", design said house to modern trends, and voila. Lather, rinse, repeat. This channel is just so boring now. Despite Alison's assurances, my cable box doesn't say another episode will air (re-run or new) for at least 2 weeks. Maybe they're just testing this one out?
  23. Thank you! Posted the reply in that thread.
  24. I would definitely welcome a new "where are they now?" ep of HH. They haven't shown one in a long time, have they? Since Fixer Upper is the current marathon show, I wonder if that's due to the strife on Flip or Flop. Regardless, they can miss me with these marathons. It's easy to OD on a show you like, much less one you don't. I don't mind Chip and Joanna, but I've never liked Fixer Upper. Their style is horrendous. I don't know if there was a thread on Windy City Flip, so I'm just posting here. Wasn't impressed. It's not like it was bad or anything, it just follows the same bland formula that all the flipping shows use. 25. As much as I like Selasi, I would have sent him home over Benjamina. It wasn't that Selasi had a good week, it was that Benjamina had a bad one, and I think she's a better baker overall. This far in the competition, Selasi is still having problems with his timing. Also, it looked like he kind of gave up around his showstopper, because it looked bland and underbaked. Jane has grown on me, and some of her faces are hilarious. The side-eye she gave Paul as he inspected her signature (the pies) had me cackling. Although I don't see her winning, I was glad she hung around this week. She was tearful when Benjamina was eliminated, and I heard her say that "I didn't think it was going to be you!" Aw. I had completely forgotten about Nadiya's peacock vs. Candice's. I would have to go with Nadiya's. Candice's is more vibrant, but Nadiya's looks neater and more refined.
