  1. I generally like watching this show, as they do transform either a dated house or a house of horrors into a very nice home. I love the kitchens and baths they do. Two things bug: 1. They always run into some problems - always. Now that could be for the drama for the show, but any flipper worth their salt would have money set aside for contingencies. It would be even more crucial given that a good portion of homes they buy are bought sight unseen. They very well could have money budgeted for unknowns, but the show should let them state so. The OMG we've already spent 10k over budget and now we found a multi generational colony of rats that are on the endangered list and its incredibly expensive to relocate them and to clean everything out.........no way could they really do business like that time and time again, going over budget and then magically getting an offer (after increasing the sale price). I know they've had a few episodes where they didn't get an offer by the end of the show, but most times they do. 2. When the cabinets or fixtures aren't falling apart, they still just take a sledgehammer and destroy everything. If it's even partially usable, why not try to salvage and take to a resell store. I'm sure some DIY person could maybe repurpose the item. Living in the midwest, still experiencing sticker shock over the home prices in CA.
  2. I just saw like the last 10 minutes or so of the episode where they listed it, supposedly choosing the house with the bedrock, wrap around porch with incredible views, and the interior hot tub. I believe they had attempted their own renovations to their current house, looked like a bungalow? There was some sentimental attachment to that house. I think one of the couple kept talking about their neighborhood or the character of the home. They were all bent out of shape because the deck they had attempted to put up, plus a family room/bonus room, something wasn't up to code at all, so of course it took money to undo the DIY stuff. It was a smaller deck, which I guess was all that was permitted for that lot and locale. The husband started to bitch about it, and I think Jillian shut him down. What did he want, for them to install something not up to code only to have to tear it down again? Only thing I could think of is that he wanted something spectacular so he could sell the house. Maybe he didn't want to be reminded of his fail on the DIY. I didn't see that they ate out a lot, so yeah not getting what seemed to be a remote home fitting their lifestyle.
  3. I didn't understand the reno on the third floor of the house tonight. It was a bedroom and also a teen hang out space, but it was all open concept? And the bedroom side just looked like a lounge, not really a bedroom. So the kid lost out on a real bedroom for this lounge? And yeah, the two teens could decide when they wanted to hang out up there with their friends? Not like that wouldn't cause any arguments, especially if the one who had the bedroom/lounge wanted to sleep or be alone in their room. It looked nice, but seemed a little sparse. I also noticed that the baby's room was the same color as the girls' room. Saving by buying the paint in bulk? I was also thinking of when Hilary redid the kitchen, why doesn't she repurpose the cabinets more often as it would allow for more updates in other rooms? Or even try to salvage the cabinets so they can resell them - again adding more money back into the budget. Even if the new cabinets are at a huge discount, I just find it a little wasteful to trash some usable items. Someone else could repurpose it and make it work for them. Any time the homeowners have kids getting close to college age, I think if Hilary does a halfway decent job, they seem to love it. Seems reasonable as they are going to have either expenses coming up or the kids will be leaving the nest soon enough.
  4. I saw the Omarosa episode. What a bunch of manufactured drama. The assistant, who has supposedly been doing events for Tutera for ages, forgets to get the fire permit. First of all, if it were such a big event, the assistant would have other minions doing the jobs, delegating out small items, basically acting as the project manager. The way David is portrayed, he basically says - off camera - I want this and that and this and the assistant has to "make it so". I would prefer that they show more of the actual planning than the stupid made up drama. I'm sure there's enough drama in getting the right flowers, fabrics, tables, etc. Of course, the "celeb" loves everything at the end, and David is their new hero. The celebs they have are really going lower and lower down the food chain; F list is about right. Now, they're previewing a sweet 16 party for a former Disney girl, China. If I recall, she had a show on for a few seasons, not a huge hit, plus one tv movie from Disney. Not exactly a household name for those outside of the tween demographics. David needs to go back to planning the weddings. I know WEtv is trying to get away from the wedding stuff, but honestly their programming stinks. Marriage Boot Camp - only watch when it's the only thing on - as a rerun. This show, again, catch as a rerun if it's the only thing on at the time. Won't even watch the SVU or whatever that is, nor the Braxtons, and not Kendra. I mainly tune into WEtv if they are running old CSI, Law & Order, or old sitcoms. Their original programming is really bad. I loved the show on HGTV I think, where it showed the planners with the wedding couples, actually going over budgets. The planners were rotated, but basically the same ones throughout the season. I also liked the Platinum Weddings show to see how the grand weddings were planned. If David's claim to fame is planning events, then show him PLANNING the events. The extra scenes with him bonding or arguing with celebs is just garbage.
  5. Why do I so want to see Yolanda in a show where she has to redo some nasty dorm rooms (the horror!) or some cheap assed student apartments - with like a 1 to 2k budget. It's pretty easy to "design" when you have access to your ex's deep pockets. Too bad Max's girlfriend isn't Allison DuBois. If she were, she'd be on RHOBH or VR by now. The ratings would skyrocket along with Lisa's blood pressure. Brandi wasn't watching Eddie and Leann's show to see if the kids were on the show. She wanted to see if/when/how much she was mentioned. She's clearly still not over Eddie. If he suddenly dumped Leann, lost his mind and wanted Brandi back, she'd take him back in a heartbeat.
  6. Brandi says Eddie's name how many times per episode, yet she bitches when they mention her during their reality show? She's done so over how many seasons? And I'd like to know what groceries she buys that cost $1k per week (she made a comment that Eddie's 1k in support would only cover like a week of groceries). Oh wait, I'm guessing she drinks most of her meals. Never mind. What does she do with the money she makes from this show and her books? And $1800 a month for an allowance at college. Good lord. Then we see Yolanda's modeling career part 3 - oh I meant Bella (not like Yolanda is living through her daughters or anything ................:smirk:). Lisa V and Ken and their prodigal child - yawn. I'm so waiting for his TH (the kid -forgot his name) - ala Jan Brady ..............Pandy, Pandy, Pandy! Still liking Eileen and Lisa R. They're such a breath of fresh air.
  7. What was Phaedra's issue with Demetria? And Nene's attitude about her room, which she did NOT pay for was so classless. She had made a remark that she hoped the rooms were clean, nice............then added and 5 star. Bitch, please. When her 15 minutes are up, her fall is going to hit her hard. I think what got Nene going in even harder at Claudia, is that Claudia didn't get upset, smiled, and did not back down. First zinger about oh the one (show) that was cancelled, had me laughing, then the one about spell Bridesmaids had me laughing harder. Of course, then Nene goes in to call Claudia a half breed and a whore. Since Nene went so low, I think a couple of Claudia's lines hit a sore spot. It's about time, honestly. Nene has said whatever she wanted and no one really challenged her one bit. She's gone from someone who I thought was fun and rooted for, to someone I cannot stand to watch any longer.
  8. They re-aired Belinda and Tiago's episode tonight. (I'm catching up on my tv watching due to whatever bug I've got and it being frigid outside). Could not stand Belinda. Oh but I want more money to go towards the bling. Ok, honey, no one wants to pay for plumbing or electrical, but that is what you have to do if you own a home. I'm guessing that if anything needs maintained or changed at that house, she'll be calling daddy in a heartbeat. It also kills me that nearly every one of these home buyers wants a mini mansion done to the 9's, are shocked when they find out they can't afford it, and then want to buy some of these houses for next to nothing. I'd say it's part of the script, but not every attitude can be so awful (and they can't all be great actors).
  9. I just watched the Perez Hilton party episode. He said they had RSVP's for over 350. It did not look anywhere near that number to me. The party didn't look glam or high end - more like something I'd see at a upscale convention expo. Then the time came for the celebrity video - David had said they needed 12 top celebs to be on the video. I didn't recognize half of the people, and they looked maybe C list at the best. The whole drama about the video with the assistant was manufactured bs. Had any real employer said that to an employee, the employee would've walked out, period. The entire concept is crap, like they'd put together a huge party and get people to show up within 4 days. Any real A listers are booked months in advance, so no way would there be any top celebs attending. David needs to walk away from the Botox or any other procedures as his skin is looking taut - like a drum. The hair color is way too much too, a shoe polish black.
  10. Color me shocked that she actually turned herself in early this a.m. I was sure it'd be a media circus. I would think that it may finally be sinking in tonight for Teresa that she's really, truly in prison. As nice as a prison can be, it's still a prison. She can't go out, she can't read blogs or tweets from her devoted (delusional) fans, she can't see her family, she can't do her web series or work on any of her business ventures, she's stuck wearing a uniform, and she can't keep tabs on Joe. For someone who was used to getting things her way, this has got to be a huge adjustment for her. I would be fine if I had some books to read and music, but limited internet access would be so hard for me (I'm addicted to surfing). Lying to the younger girls was a bad move. They're sure to hear it from other kids or elsewhere. I doubt Teresa or Joe got any counselling for the girls. I had never read All About TRH. I read some of the posts and holy cow. Teresa didn't do a thing wrong, and anyone who speaks one word otherwise is a hater. I wonder what Teresa would have to do in order for them to lose their idol worship.
  11. Brandi is not a truth cannon, but a filth cannon. There's no one on any franchise even close to her level of filth. That's saying a lot because there's the felon from RHONJ, the evil Joyce from RHOA, and formerly the mess that is Slade from RHOC. Honestly, the way everyone did the gang up on Lisa V last season, I wouldn't have invited them anywhere. And for the Miss Manner of the Lemon Grove - it's bad form to bitch to someone why didn't you invite me? Proper manners would be to congratulate the person who got the honor, not bitch and moan about not being included. I swear Yolanda is in angst or bitching about something every freaking episode. Maybe her real angst is that her King really pays her little attention? Really loving Eileen as she is acting like an intelligent adult woman so far. Lisa R isn't bad. A little of her goes a long way. The constant hyper would drive me nuts after a while in real life.
  12. After thinking about it, Kenya is really shrewd. She goes and makes the over the top apology to Porsha. What that does, in effect, is erase any storyline Porsha had except to be Nene's lapdog. If Porsha pursues her feud with Kenya, she's the petty one. I'm sure that's beyond her little pea brain to comprehend. Kenya was so ready to do this at her first opportunity, basically turn the tables on Porsha. I'm sure she cannot stand Porsha, but it was in Kenya's best interest strategically. Porsha was only hanging by a thread to be on this show, I am thinking primarily due to the conflict from last year's reunion. Kenya took that away by basically saying she was no longer playing that game. All is forgiven, wink, wink. Porsha's role was what was really squashed, not any real beef or feud. Kill them with kindness indeed. Porsha sure looked peeved that Nene and Kenya were laughing it up and getting along. It was the look of a child who was ready to say, no you can't play with her - she's MY BFF now.
  13. Not only speeding well over the limit, but doing so on a suspended license. She is such a dope. What did she do to get her license suspended in the first place?
  14. Todd had a line about how it was Joyce that started the entire problem - after Kandi tried to say shit about his mother - well she told me to tell my mama. He is so over it all. I think that he was thinking/hoping that once they were married, Kandi would start to have his back. Nope it's she's my mama, I have to do everything for her, no matter what. You can love your mother, but if they do something that is inappropriate, you can have an adult conversation and tell them you think they were inappropriate. The problem is that Kandi is immature and Joyce is a shebeast. I think someone needs to submit a reunion question for Kandi - ok so I heard your mama was a ho and your daddy was her pimp. So you were the result. How do you feel? Do you feel like laughing? You are basically laughing about the fact that your husband has been called the product of a ho and a pimp - and laughed at it. Then you reward your mama, who said the heinous remarks by buying her and her boyfriend (who tore up the other house) a new more expensive house. Will you be laughing as your marriage falls apart? Are you laughing at your husband's pain and his deceased mother's pain? Porsha is as dumb as a box of hair - actually hair has a function. Nene needs a stylist (or a new one). Little dutch boy ho is not a look.
  15. They re-aired this trainwreck last night. Alexis kept saying "we hired you to..........." no, you didn't. You agreed to be on this show, and I'm sure got a party for free or heavily discounted. The meltdown she had about dresses, then seating chart or some nonsense were ridiculous. Then she kept everyone waiting so they could find a dress (that miraculously fit her perfectly - yeah, right), then decided the original dress was fine for a reception dress. Scripted nonsense, but I think she also has a screw loose. The birthday party for the daughter, I doubt he paid full price, if he even paid for stuff. It was over the top, but David's stuff is always over the top. If he'd just thrown a small party, then the talk would be oh he can do lavish parties for others, but he can't for his own daughter. It seemed like he had a lot of party favor stuff, lots of decorations, but it didn't look to be a huge party. (I started dozing off during the birthday party). I cannot believe they're doing a second season of this show. Must have good enough ratings and be low cost enough to keep it going.
  16. I was actually clapping when Todd's mom said she was going to sue the bitch. I believe actual cast members cannot sue each other (slander or liable - otherwise they'd be in court 24/7), but the two mom's are not actual cast members. Mama Joyce just says whatever. It's not disrespecting a parent if they do say something inappropriate to call them on it, especially if it's said about your MIL and on National tv. Kandi has no backbone. MJ basically said Todd was no good, a cheater, an opportunist, and Kandi didn't say a thing. I still love my mama. You can still love her, but have an adult conversation about how she cannot continue to disrespect your husband or members of his family because they are YOUR family now, too. If you disrespect them, you are disrespecting me. I don't see Todd and Kandi lasting for very long.
  17. Nene would be exhausting to have as a friend, almost like what the mother in Beaches said to the Bette Midler character. Just too much. All about her 24/7. I know she gave me a headache tonight (just after I thought I'd gotten rid of it). I agree she's looking more drag queen; she needs a real stylist pronto. I think Nene kept on with little snide comments, her version of telling the truth or helping, and it just hit way too many times with Cynthia. The comment regarding Cynthia's daughter, the comment about Peter, and Nene's exploding ego were all probably contributory factors. Kandi won't do a thing about MJ's boyfriend tearing up her house. Any reasonable person would be suing the bf for damages, but that might upset MJ, so Kandi will sweep that under the rug. She even said she just laughs off stuff like that. She needs to be going to counselling and not the stuff just for the show. Phaedra showed herself tonight. Just be gracious and apologize. Any real southern lady/belle would just do so.
  18. Allison Williams was ok in the role of Peter Pan, but she seemed lacking in charisma. I found some old videos of the Mary Martin and Cathy Rigby versions. The Mary Martin version had less spectacular effects and I didn't really buy her as a boy - but damn she sold it. She eventually became Peter for me. Even the slightest gestures and reactions were on point. Cathy Rigby also didn't look like a boy up close, but she acted more like a boy. All I saw Allison do was to prop up her feet on the window, or table, or something. Even when she did the lines up to the I Gotta Crow, she lacked the cockiness and real joy needed. Sometimes it seemed like she was reading the phone book, it was such a normal tone of voice. Christopher Walken seemed wooden and slow. The end fight with Peter looked like geriatric swordfighting 101. I also watched Cyril Ritchard as Hook. He hammed it up and you could see he was having fun with the role. Christian Borle would've given the role more energy. I'd love to see Nathan Lane camp it up (probably too much money for NBC to spend) or even someone with manic energy like Jack Black. Very disappointed with Walken, as I thought that was terrific casting. I believe they're doing the Music Man next. One review I saw today, said oh give the lead to Christian Borle. He sure commits to every role. Another suggested Eric McCormack who did play the role on Broadway. Suggestions for Marian were Laura Osnes or Laura Benati, but I bet we see more stunt casting for the leads. The thing is, Marian's songs require a trained singer (soprano) to done properly, so please no Taylor Swift. Lovely girl, but I don't think she has the vocal range for it. Ratings were down for this one compared to SOM, but NBC needed to schedule it on a weekend so maybe schoolchildren could've stayed up later to watch it all.
  19. The freestyle with Sadie and Mark was bad. 10's? Give me a break.
  20. Just a few days after I saw how Ariana was with Frankie after he opened/appeared in Rock of Ages, I saw the article today that it's closing on Broadway in January. Casting him may have been a ploy to get more butts in the seats - either for the last few weeks or an attempt to keep the show going. Wonder if he knew ahead of time (like Nene Leakes who's going to be in the last few weeks of Cinderella on Broadway) or if he found out after he signed on for the show. http://popwatch.ew.com/2014/11/18/rock-of-ages-to-close-on-broadway/
  21. Poor Teresa and Juicy Joe. They were just two people trying to make a living, and this nasty show made them commit criminal acts. I'm sure she'd say they had to have the stuff, the show wanted them to have money, so it's Bravo/the show's fault. But she's going to be a better person, make it right. And honestly, if she were trying to be a better person, just say to Teresssa, I'm sorry that I repeated that nasty rumor to anyone, and I'm sorry I hurt your feelings. The end. But no, she cannot apologize. Then she apologizes to her fans (aka the only people who would even think of buying her products). Dina, no one will really miss you. The show is all against your zen nature or whatever crap she said. What it really is, she can dish out the insults and side eyes, but no one can do the same to her. All of them are disgusting to some level, but Jim just entered the Douchebag Hall of Fame. Forget about Amber and the cancer. Honestly, I feel for Jim and all his health issues: diarrhea of the mouth, rectal cranial inversion, shit for brains, weaselitis.
  22. Apollo, sorry no sympathy from me. Then when he was going on with Phaedra about how he can't touch his stuff he bought and how he's in debt - I wanted to reach through the screen and smack him upside the head. You bought all of your things with STOLEN money, so it's NOT YOURS. The reason you are in debt for over one million dollars is because you STOLE. And the deal about how you didn't murder anyone, that argument is so lame. You stole again and again. Then he was all nervous about how much time he was going to get, maybe the judge would do the entire max amount of 30 years. Not likely given that he accepted a plea deal I believe. I think most internet sites I read that ventured a guess were around the 8 year mark. And since he's in Federal prison this time, I don't think they give time off for good behavior (but he may get some time sliced off due to his saying he needed the drug/alcohol treatment, but I don't think it's 3 years off). He wasn't concerned one bit for those kids; I am betting he wanted them in court so he could use them to get less jail time. I am also sure his attorneys briefed him on what to expect ahead of time. Kandi can have several seats about Phaedra going to the courthouse, how the judicial system is unfair to people who are convicted, etc. And, there is nothing wrong with a teen driving a Honda or Toyota as a first car. I would have been elated - I had my grandpa's 1966 Dodge sedan - a lovely cream color - no power anything, no radio - so cry me a river that she doesn't get a Range Rover. Cynthia - you're just latching onto a substitute Nene. Not a bad move, since i think Nene will be done with this show shortly. Please dummy, don't give any money to Peter. Then he tries to blame it on Phaedra due to her lifestyle? I'm sure he went around spending on frivolous things (maybe strip clubs?), then she said well hey if you can spend money on that, then you can chip in with the mortgage, the utilities, etc. In other words, grow up your a husband now with a child on the way. Porscha, you can go on and on about how you were provoked, but you physically dragged Kenya to the ground while being filmed. You could have acted like an adult and walked away or demanded that the producers remove the bullhorn or you wouldn't continue. Almost the same as someone who is arrested for road rage and saying well they cut me off at exit 101. People piss you off all the time, just move along and don't do something stupid. She is such a child. I bet if she apologized Kenya would drop the charges. Why was she having a photo shoot? Just to show off her new rack? And Nene didn't know what was in the show in Vegas before she signed her contract? Please. She's so selective about what she chooses to do in her career, but she didn't know there was an orgy scene or what that entailed totally?? Please. She takes any job that pays good money. Her being cast for the show on Broadway smacks merely of a publicity stunt to get people into the show during its last few weeks of the run.
  23. Anyone else hoping that the Joes would deliver a beat down on Jim? His stupid file folder full of papers and the best he can do is say Bobby campaigned to be on the show. Fail. He graduated from law school in 2003 but hasn't taken the bar? Or he's waiting to hear..........whatever. I'm guessing he's already taken the bar exam and failed. It doesn't take years to find out the results. Teresa is still delusional. She's in for a rude awakening come January 5, 2015. If you are given any type of legal document to sign, especially if you are up on Federal charges, who does not ask what does this entail or think about it (as in the plea bargain) before signing it? She only heard that if she didn't take the plea deal they were looking at years and years in prison. Somehow her delusional and entitled brain heard that to be - this is your get out of jail free card. She also had to tell a judge that she understood what she was doing when she accepted the deal. Even Juicy Joe isn't saying he didn't know what it meant. I give it to like day 2 after she's released when she files for divorce.
  24. If Kelley was that traumatized about his rotten childhood, then he needs to seek out therapy. I tend to think he uses it as a crutch; if he loses his temper or something goes wrong, well I had such bad parents, etc. Amy had the same parents (although maybe she got out before it got worse), but she seems to be more well adjusted. Kelley is just an ass. Jennice is not ugly and is clearly better off without him. I think Kelley figured out somehow that Jennice's relationship with her boyfriend was shaky so he was like a shark in the water after her. He wouldn't go after Kate or Kat, as I think they'd flat out turn him down (each seemed to have a thing for Ben), so he went after the only other available woman on the ship. He doesn't need to return to season 3. Kate is clearly jealous of anyone who upstages her one iota. She was defending Jennice because Jennice does not threaten her in any way. Nor does Kat. Amy kept getting constant praise for her service and friendliness, while Kate was called out by passengers by her bitchy resting face or aloofness. Kate so wants to be living the lifestyle of the charter guests. She sided with Kat once Kat had a beef with Amy (the enemy of my enemy is my friend). Kate may be good at organization tasks, but she is clearly lacking in people skills. Captain Lee looked like he'd rather be anywhere else. I think he was saying yeah he'd work with any of them, just in case any of them show up on Season 3, or if they cross paths again. Don't burn any bridges. Not sure what he sees in Kat. I worked in restaurants and in retail. Sure we'd bitch about the customers, but never within earshot and at some point, when I was in management, you knew when to cut those conversations off when it started into a major bitchfest. It's one thing to vent, it's another to bitch and moan constantly.
  25. Teresa is pissed at the entire world. I think she's always gotten everything she's ever wanted, so she expected things to go her way in court as well. She looked like a petulant child, frowning, barely saying a word at times, blaming everyone but herself for her upcoming time away at college. Had it been someone else, say Melissa, going away to college for a while, Teresa would NOT have been kind, would have been screeching at the top of her lungs, would have been yelling "why are you walking away you coward?" When Danielle left the reunion set after Teresa got up out of her chair (seemingly to get in Danielle's face or worse), Teresa kept yelling something like get back here you coward. Teresa now cannot even sit through a discussion of what her aunt said, which was still a very mildly stated truth. You do bad things, it will catch up to you eventually. That is true for anyone. Teresa signed up for this season and well knows what the reunions are all about. Had she really wanted to shield herself and her family from any public ridicule, she would not have signed up for this season. But, again, Teresa thought everything would go her way. Teresa and Dina act like they are so above Andy Cohen. No bitches, he is your boss. You can both be replaced or the show can be cancelled. You are not that special. Dina is so full of crap. If she's truly such a Zen person, she would be trying to find the right path as I believe it's called. Right most assuredly does not mean holding grudges, petty fights, having friends who are thieves, defending thieves, and having all those material possessions (i.e. huge shoe closet). As someone said, it's all fake, just to amp up her public persona. If being a baby seal killer suddenly came into fashion, I think Dina would be signing up the next day. Her comment about Nick just came off so callous. She spends her time with the children who really need help, and she St. Dina of the Shoes can help heal them. She can't heal Nick, so whatever. Had she been there from early on, he would know he has a aunt or some nice lady who cares about him. She says family is so important, so ok, overlook the small stuff and make nice for the sake of all the kids in the family. Be cordial and move on already. If she even hinted that the only way she'd be with her family is for her brother to divorce Jac - so totally wrong. She's the typical youngest spoiled child. I have a cousin who is the same. Has to be about her, she's the special snowflake, has to be about her 24/7. She's exhausting and thank goodness lives far, far away. Dina I think was going for Supreme Zen Burrito Goddess with her outfit. Looked like a Forever 21 outfit topped by one of Claire's finest necklaces. Melissa looked extremely dressed down, very conservative. I think if the Gorgas are having financial issues, she's learned not to wear the expensive stuff in public. Joe Gorga was really upset and sincere (as poorly worded as he put it - but sincere). He made me tear up a little. Teresa sat there all stone faced (I think she was partially stoned to be honest). All of the newbies and their hubbies/fake boyfriends can exit stage left now. Boring and nasty is not a winning combination.
