  1. I felt she did get a lot of "she's so nice" reasons, but I do think that was people's nice way of saying vote for Leeza because Geraldo is such a miserable dick. I also heard a few people talk about how good a leader she was and then Johnny Damon broke down the numbers and basically said that no one was even in Leeza's ballpark and no one should even be considered the winner but her. His was a glowing endorsement of Leeza and I was pretty impressed by it.
  2. Nada. Celebrities don't actually win anything by being on the show....but they are willing to go on in order to raise money for their charities and for many people some much needed face time on tv.
  3. SO glad Leeza won! I fully expected Donald Trump to have a total Donald Trump dickbag move and have Geraldo win, but in the end....I think he had no choice to pick Leeza. Leeza won 7 tasks in a row, raised more money in the final task and was able to lead people without belittling and treating them like dirt. Go Leeza! I think for Leeza....Kevin Jonas was totally her ace in the hole in the final task. I am not sure it would have been so smooth sailing for her if you switched let's say Kevin and Ian on the final task. Come on now...you know I am right. I was impacted by both Leeza and Geraldo and the segments on their charities. Good job highlighting the great works those agencies do!
  4. People have mentioned many of the fav moments...and I do love an episode where Holt and Peralta can really interact and work together. They are a perfect duo. I do wonder how the casting happened to get Andre Braugher on the show because it is perfect, but who is the genius who knew it would be perfect. My fav moment was the look of happiness on Kevin's face when he saw Gina and then the immediate look of disdain when she announced that Jake was with her. It made me literally laugh out loud.
  5. I had no issue with that and it felt right to me to have her say goodbye on the last day she was actually there instead of saying a fake goodbye on Tuesday and then working two more days. It's not about disregarding the fans or not wanting to put herself out, but instead being more real and genuine IMO. Also...given what a wonderful mother Rosie has been and how she had made such a difference in her children's lives. I wish she would adopt a million bajillion babies. In comparison, who gives a fuck about The View?
  6. As we are moments away from closing the book on Rosie O'Donnell and The View....I wanna say I love Rosie. She is one of my favorite people on the planet. She is someone who is incredible fragile and damaged while at the same time very brazen and strong. I think the perspective she brought to her television show and then later to The View is something that will be incredibly difficult to replace. However having said that, I don't find it hard to believe at all that it would be incredibly difficult and sometimes frustrating to work with and alongside someone like Rosie. She has a vision and either wants you on board or out of the way. I would rather eat my own shoe on a daily basis than work for her, but I do love what the control driven mind creates. I hope she finds another outlet where she can share her outlook on life with the world.
  7. She's gonna be even MORE pissed that someone replied and commented that they thought she was Kate Gosselin. BA HA HA!
  8. Rosie has said she doesn't want to discuss it on The View even though she has been asked and given the opportunity to do so. I think that says all we need to know, She is gonna finish the week off and hope to move on with class and dignity, but I don't think she wants to be put in position to talk about it on the air and end up sharing a lot of platitudes that just don't ring with the truth. At least that is my take on it.
  9. It was also clear that Whoopi is trying to make sure she is being "nice" and letting Rosie talk on her final few days....with the awkward "Rosie did you want to say something" and then Rosie saying she was just nodding her head and that interaction went on for what seemed like 12 years.
  10. Yep, that is what it seemed to me. I find it bothersome....first it is a segment about positive self talk and loving yourself and Nicolle finishes it off with nothing but negative self talk. She mentions that she "can't dance" and she follows it up that she can't dance and a "I'm a Republican" quip. What she is insinuating is bothersome to me....that she can't dance or doesn't have rhythm because she is a conservative. I haven't watched The View for a while...and once Rosie is gone, I doubt I will again. Rosie made the show real to me and now it is just a bunch of preplanned talking heads. I did find it pointed that Rosie was not on stage when the Whitney Thore was on the show, especially since Rosie made the point that morbid obesity is killing half of America during Hot Topics. I think Rosie would support the message of self love, but I think she would have some pointed comments about the negative health effects in the long run.
  11. Here is a SI article that goes into detail of all the things that Batey could not recall. I think it goes without saying that there is some including disturbing things in the article, so read at your own risk. http://www.si.com/college-football/2015/02/09/vanderbilt-rape-case-brandon-vandenburg-cory-batey
  12. The walk down memory lane clip show showed all the past drama. I was surprised they didn't do a soft edit of Joan Rivers to not show some of her more brutal moments now that she has passed away. And on to the final. Trump fires Vivica too...and she happily agrees. It's Leeza vs. Geraldo which is what we always thought it would be. At first I thought Leeza had a heads up with her team because it had no drama. Brandi, Johnny and Kevin would just be happy to be there and to help her. Unfortunately it looks like Johnny and Brandi are happy to be there and continue to flirt with one another...and turn the task into a big date. Kevin is helping with the commercial, but that isn't where Kevin is most valuable. If he really wants to BEAT GERALDO...he needs to open his phone and call all his rich friends and relatives and get MONEY to help Leeza beat Geraldo. It seems he was unwilling to do this, so since Geraldo has his money connections and Ian's...he is gonna rake it up. Boo. I can't see how Geraldo isn't going to win this....and UGH.
  13. I enjoyed this episode a lot more than the pilot. I thought it had a lot better pacing and kept my interest. I did like how Saul didn't just save himself and jump in his car and drive away. I liked that he went back and negotiated with a complete crazy person to save the lives of the two idiots he put in the scam in the first place. Of course as an audience we knew it would turn out okay for Saul since we know he lives and keeps all his fingers. I also liked that they made a point of Saul paying the kids hospital bill. I kind of expected Saul to just drop the kids off and run. You could say he did it because he felt bad for the kids and felt guilty, but it also might be to keep the kids quiet. If those kids start telling their story to the ER docs....Saul is in a boatload of trouble. Until the show shows me why I should care about the whackadooble brother....I just get bored in his scenes.
  14. I watched and was just as disgusted as I thought I would be. He defended his friend aka co-defendant and still said he behaved that way because he was drunk, not because it was in his character. Well when stone cold sober...they had no problems sharing the pics and videos and continuing to laugh about it. That wasn't a crazy drunk move. And he kept saying that they were hearing rumors about the event. They weren't rumors...they were the truth. The long and the short of it is that the pictures and the videos are what is going to make it so that they are going to spend the rest of their lives in jail. If it hadn't have been for their need to document their sick behavior...it would just be another story of he said/she said where the men were well revered, respected athletes. He said he was afraid of prison. He should be. As I was watching, I can't believe his lawyers and people in his camp thought this interview with Dr. Phil would be a good idea. How did he think this would help anything, especially since he has not been sentenced yet.
  15. While I often agree that Michael Moore strives to be divisive and to stir the pot....I also strongly believe that the thoughts and opinions of all those in this country should be shared and protected, not just those we value or believe in. If only patriotic comments are allowed because soldiers fight for that freedom then I would make the case that it is a conditional freedom.
  16. I basically avoid Dr. Phil like he has the plague...but I wanted to watch today to see what that Vanderbilt scum had to say. Because I live in Snowmaggedon....aka Boston...I missed half the show because it was pre-empted for snow coverage. I saw the beginning and the end. Can you watch the show online?
  17. I DVR'ed the episode because I was a big BB fan and hoped I would like it, even though I had a feeling that I wouldn't. I was right. I was absolutely bored out of my mind. I fell asleep mid-episode and had to go back and watch the rest this morning. I'll give it a few more episodes and hope it pulls me in, but so far...no bueno. When Jimmy is talking to him in the bunker or whatever that was...his brother doesn't say he is going to "beat this", he says that he is going to "get better." So while it would be an interesting theory, I don't think the scene between the two brothers plays that idea out. I don't think he has cancer, but I do think he got sick and believes that electricity is the culprit so that is why he know lives in the bunker and can't make it to the bank.
  18. I saw the movie and really wanted to like it, but I didn't. I wish that it spent more time on the effect of war and PTSD and less time on the Legend that Kyle was and the kills he had. I also honestly wish they had picked another war veteran or made it a fictitious story since there has a lot of talk and some proof about how much of Kyle's book is just not based on fact, but on embellishment. I also read that Chris Pratt was originally considered for the lead. I love Bradley Cooper, but I wish they had worked it out or waited for Pratt. P.S. Fake baby. C'mon Clint. You're better than that or at least you should be.
  19. I think what Wes makes fun of Johnny for is actually very spot on in terms of how they see the challenges differently. Wes sees them as a hobby or something fun to do, but Johnny sees the Challenges as his job, his main source of income.
  20. Well. Umm....as a long time baseball fan....I've seen and heard more than I would like. Let's put it this way...no matter how hot your wife is, you spend half the season away from home, in swanky hotels and surrounded by some pretty enthusiastic women. A couple years ago I was at a game and saw a baseball player (who was very married) clearly give a woman his phone number while in the on deck circle.
  21. Oh Trump knows what twitter is and uses it often. He spends time on there telling people how awesome he is, how wrong everyone else is and how much of a fat cow pig Rosie O'Donnell is. He knows all about the tweets. Donald was sending Leeza no matter what IMO. He knew Geraldo would pick Leeza and if he didn't, he'd send her anyway. Last time someone said they wanted someone (not Kenya) and then DOnald sent Kenya over much to Brandi's pleasure. As for Johnny Damon and Brandi's "friendship." Something did seem sketchy about that to me too.
  22. In a total Donald Trump move...he fires the entire team that has had a long run of wins after one loss. Yes, sure...that man should absolutely consider running for President. His ego fueled dumb ass moves really hurt my brain. Damon needs to learn how to explain his charity a little better, but I'll defend him here. I get emails all the time from the Damon Foundation and they do a lot of good work. It's very common for the elite baseball players to create charities to support things in the community. It is done for a few reasons. One, it is a way for the player to give back to the area where they are. It is often why they don't support just one organization but a variety in the area. Additionally...while there is some overhead cost, they are able to bring in way more money than that organization could do without them. Secondly, it is a great PR move so agents often encourage it. I had a friend who ran a 5K a few years back that was sponsored by the Damon Foundation and it was amazing well run and managed and brought in a truck load of money to cancer fighting agencies in NYC. I thought that as well except I think Kenya is shady enough that if she really did that....she would never say that. She is a snake in the grass, but she's not gonna show her hand in a talking head. I think she saw the tweet and planned on using it as the excuse to fire Vivica if they lost, but I don't think she stole the phone or sent the tweet. If she did....she would have been quiet as a mouse about it until she went in for the kill. I am glad to see her gone though since I think that she is someone who makes Geraldo look like a nice guy. And as for Ian. I am not sure what his purpose was for going on Celebrity Apprentice, but whatever it was...he failed. Ian had a pretty good image before this show and now he has let us all know what a control freak jerk he is. As soon as he started arguing with Donald Trump's ego I knew he was going to be fired. Bye Ian. I do think Ian is a smart man and if he was able to get over himself, he could have really gone deep into this competition. If he would have stopped pouting and got on board with Johnny and Brandi, he could have helped refine the jingle they had. Leeza is the only person left who deserves to win....which means she probably won't.
  23. What the crap was that? I remember when I really used to like this show. You know, a show about Olivia Pope...the fixer of all problems DC while at the same time having a smutty affair with the POTUS. I liked that show. I miss that show. I want that show back. This show? Blergh.
  24. I thought they handled the honoring of Knight really well. I had a reaction I didn't expect to it. Seeing Jemmye and Preston be so emotional about Knight reminded me of something and taught me a lesson. If Knight hadn't have passed away....both might have focused on the things about Knight that annoyed or bothered them instead of remembering how the parts of him that they loved. IMO, we tend to do that as people...when someone passes away...we remember the good and forget the bad. I took this segment as a life lesson to do that more in life to those who are still living. Knight was a part of their life and for good or worse, he made an impact and made it better. It's also a sad, somber reminder about how alcohol & the reckless choices that often accompany it can just plow over you and easily take a young, vibrant life away.
  25. Up until last night's episode I was a pretty big fan of Ian in the show...even with his motivational speeches. The way he spoke and dismissed Brandi was absolutely douchtastic. And if you look back to her comments, she was saying the exact thing that was the major criticism from the coffee folks. She remarked that they needed more direct shots of the coffee and the K cups to put in the commercial as Ian was being a diva and obnoxiously asking her to leave him alone to work on his "process." Ian is lucky that the other team had no idea what a viral video was or he might be out on his ass. Vivica is a fake ass bitch. She keeps saying she doesn't wanna say anything bad or negative, but her epic eye rolls and smart comments show the exact opposite. If Shawn was willing to really fight for herself, Vivica should have been fired last night.
