Does it seem like they are getting better guests right now? Maybe it’s just the news events , maybe it’s cuz the interrupter and bloviator isn’t on but it seems like there are more and better guests

I’ve been liking BWs show at 11. Agreed he brings an odd intensity to it but the structure and format are just right for me. He covers the news in an informative way, digs in but not too much. He makes some quips but doesn’t cover everything from his personal political POV. I’d actually like to see him move to 10 I think MSNBC could use him to get better viewership for people who want straighter news coverage vs Don Lemon or Fox. And advertise it as such.

Boooorrrrring! Maybe they need a backing track of music to give some interest to today’s lecture.

I’m getting really tired of these guys stroking themselves over their historical knowledge. America did this and for that reason etc ad nauseum. Discuss the current world order and how Trump throwing bombs into it may work or may not. Stop talking about what used to be and get people on who can discuss what is being said now. These two, I don’t even know. Mika is in fine form this morning, reading the TelePrompTer like she just burned the roof of her mouth with a slice of pizza. Maybe whoever types into the TelePrompTer messes with her by not putting in any punctuation because she emphasizes the wrong words and doesn’t pause when required, always with that tone of surprise. We’re surprised too Mika! Joe’s world salad game is strong this morning. He’s babbling, borderline incoherent at points. Example: praising some politico from Oklahoma City for being like Pensacola Fla...what? I though he was talking about rednecks but no....turns out he was pointing out that Oklahoma City and Pensacola are both in the Central time zone. That’s the quality talk show we’re getting this morning.

Ok update they did just use their fancy floor graphics to illustrate the cave and tunnel. Guess they’re just slow

I have watched a few hours of CNN and am disappointed in their coverage of the Thai cave rescue. They flash up graphics of the cave tunnel pull it down. I have yet to see them use their powerful graphics capabilities to have an expert walk thru the graphic of the tunnel and step by step explain the challenge. They used to be good at that.

It wasn’t enough for everyone either. Josh could probably eat all six skewers. It really wasn’t much food.

As far as Steve Schmidt and Nicole go, 10 years ago they made a cynical, political decision rooted in winning and not governing. It didn’t work. It seem to me, just having watched them on this show that they have learned from their mistake. Maybe only learned enough to recognize other’s cynical and political mistakes but on MJ anyway they seem to have evolved from that time. I enjoy them on the show.

This! Totally is the conversation they should have continued on to have this morning. They started strong but Joe already made up his simple mind to a simple conclusion and didn’t want any nuance or depth.

Something is just off this season that is resulting in a boring show in which we don’t seem to like anybody. The judging isn’t very interesting. Maybe it’s the editing but they only seem to be saying the obvious things we already are aware of and not adding to the conversation or episode. The team challenges, designed to drum up drama, aren’t working that great. I don’t remember many challenges from previous seasons but there has to be something better than everybody dividing up talk time. That the real crux of the last couple of team challenges. Also Rebekkah should have been sent home for the simple fact she changed her crab and macaroni dish to Italian pasta due to equating “pasta” with “Italian”

Also they have had the same chyron on the screen all morning. What’s the point

I thought the arguments made on the SHS affair were interesting. Elise saying Should there be societal repercussions from people perpetuating the lies and enforcing the dictatorial policies vs Haas saying the civil rights act, while not mentioning politics as a reason, outlaws discrimination. I was thinking someone would mention the Supreme Court upholding the right of businesses to refuse to do business with gays if it offends. Isn’t it the same thing? Oh but that quality conversation betweeen Elise and Haas got cut off by Bloviating Joe

As we have all said a million times WHY CAN’T MIKA READ THE TELEPROMPTER? it’s literally the basic skill that is required. Does she do it deliberately to show she’s not a newsreader?
