This program should be called: "The Lionel Richie Show with guest stars Katy Perry and Luke Bryan!!!!" (Featuring a Few Wannabe's With a LOT of Backstories!!) What did we see--- about 8 or 9 actual contestants? I had it taped and ff through some of them, it could have been more.

Thank you! I've been watching season 7 of NY, when Bethany returned and Heather decided to fight for the Alpha Role and how freaked out it made Beth. And the ladies first trip out to Dorinda's Bluestone Manor all decorated for Christmas and it's made me want to skip BH and get to NY! For now...⦠I know I'll be sucked back into BH the minute it comes back on š

Sorry, cant get rid of the quote box. Is this the next housewives show to air? And does anyone know when the start date is? I'm bored and watching old New York shows!

First season with the Doc I thought he was weird and possibly a slime ball. But the more he shows of himself on this show I'm finding him strangely sexy! (and funny,too-- Tony the Turk was hilarious) I'm liking Jennifer and Tony more and more š

Oh how I miss the Simon Cowell days! These three judges are so over the top--leaping up to the stage if a contestant even looks like they need a hankie, etc. I always knew the show was scripted but there was still that little ''what if?" that accompanied each singer. Now you know production has done the research thoroughly on these kids/people and put together exactly what they think we want to see. I hate the backstories-- and yet they still make me tear up!š

S10.E14: Something in the Water
stcroix replied to TexasGal's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
You may be right. I just had a little light bulb moment the episode he had lunch with the doc and was really pushing for a commitment. If I'm remembering right, he even said something like,''Then I can get her out of the house or my house" or something like that that made me think he's thinking IF he can unload Delores on some other guy then soft hearted Delores could be talked into letting him keep the house. That's just the impression I got. I also think he does whatever the show wants him to do for that Bravo paycheck and sleeping on a twin bed in Delores room would be easy. But hey, I'm on pain killers for knee surgery so I could have dreamed it! -

David always looks so uncomfortable on the show, like he's always holding his breath waiting to be put in a compromising situation or something. Plus he's ugly! (sorry not sorry) How can Delores stand to kiss him? š I think he's getting a deal on the house from Frank and Frank's encouraging him to marry Delores and get her out of HIS house so he can stay there. But I think the minute the new house is finished then David announces to Delores that he's just not that into her anymore, thanks for the help on his house... and bye. We'll probably see her at the Reunion saying yeah, they broke up and she and Frank are still together in their house. -

That's interesting. What job does he still do at Bravo? I thought he practically ran it! -
I liked it very much!

Why do we have to watch crew we've already seen before? I don't want to see the bosun learning as he/she goes. How boring. Malia was sneaky, full of herself and not interesting to me. I notice her boyfriend, Adam, is chef on the Yachting Below Deck (whatever it's called). He had a screw loose and didn't wow with his food much. I don't like seeing the same old same old. Although I don't mind Ben for some reason-- maybe he's proven to be a great chef and is unpredictable. -
I think this is dead on. Watching her face as she looks at food in such a 'dreading it' way makes me sad. It's like she truly is afraid of what she wants so much. At times she looks sick when she's around food. Nothing like the more carefree woman out shopping or on the beach. I feel so sorry for her. And I've come to like Jennifer this season, she's shown a funny more human side. (apart from the money obsession.) She doesn't have a job or an adoring husband and I think dealing with children isn't her thing, sadly. Having better things than the others makes her feel equal to or better than them. She seemed floored and then rattled to discover that instead of 'above' Jackie she is (in her mind) beneath her. And acted out like her youngest daughter would. I hope the funny Jenn comes back and this one gets lost!

I'm still confused as to why Theresa suddenly decided to be friends with Danielle... Why she takes her side no matter how bizarre Danielle behaves. The little smug smile on Danielle's face as Theresa takes her side is so evil looking! It creeps me out when she asks repeatedly,'' You'll have my back won't you? You'll be on my side wont you? I'm counting on you Theresa!" And Theresa instantly reassures her not to worry, she has her back. Weird. There was no lead up to what caused them to become such good buddies was there? Something I missed one season? I wonder if she has something on Theresa and that's what this is all about? Something she found out and Theresa doesn't want out?

Ok this is mean because people can't help the way they look-- unless they've messed with it --but seriously Kate? I used to have a Mr Potato Man where you stick on the eyes, nose and lips and Kate could be the model for a Miss Potato Stew with those huge lips that look stuck on her face. Wow did she overdo the plumping! And I just get mad when I see that chef's silly looking face. He's such a mouth breather. Shut your pie hole dude! I'm sick of seeing his teeth hanging out there. And he's just such a little tattle always in the guys ears about mean ol' Kate.... Ick! I think he's the one stirring them up against her.

S14.E18: Wild, Wild Key West
stcroix replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
Remind me again why we have to endure Gina on this show? Gina who was so excited to see drag queens that she said it reminded her of 'home' on Long Island and yelled, ''Mama's coming home!" How did this Long Island woman qualify to be a house wife of the OC? She's not a housewife and she's not from the OC and shes broke. She has the rattiest extensions I've ever seen on tv and her white press on's are always bit to the quick or one missing. (last week) She adds nothing to this show. I'm just watching this episode and so far Key West looks interesting, we may have to take a trip down there for a vacation. -
On rereading my post I realized I left out that I am a native born and bred Texan and my family has been living in different parts of Texas since 1810 (my husband does genealogy) I certainly wasn't cutting Texans and hope you didn't think I was! š I don't know how old you are-- I'll admit to being 65-- and I remember how Texans spoke with a much heavier accent back then than now. With all the people moving in adding their accents (or no accent) to ours I know we sound much less 'twangy' nowadays. Again, hope I didn't offend you-- now back to the show!

I wasn't impressed with the choice made of the actor who played LBJ. I was 10 when Kennedy was assassinated and remember the Johnson Presidential years very well. He was very rough and crude for sure. And what is it with British casting not being able to cast someone with the correct American accent? Kennedy was awful, Jackie wasn't much better, but Johnson is the worst. At this time period Texans (especially ones who grew up poor) still had heavy twangy accents. The actor playing LBJ sounds practically urbane compared to the real LBJ. Just something that irritates me. Along with changes in characters eyes from childhood to adulthood... (I cant get over that!)

I've eaten at Applebees and it's below par. No way were those people not acting for that 'commercial'. I thought it would never end! There had to be 5 cameras filming to get all the perfect shots-- or else they practiced over and over and then did several scenes. The way those people were acting reminded me of the Saturday Night Live Skit making fun of Ophra's Favorite Things shows! The number of times Missy looked at the food and screamed,'' Oh God!" made me expect to see her with either a lighted cigarette in a hot tub right after, or a natural birth of twins lying on the sand beside her.

No! Do a total recast of the thing before no one will be associated with it. I want to watch-- just not any of these losers. -
S14.E10: Big Oās And Broken Toes
stcroix replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
It would have been lidocained up to numb the region to be injected. On my yearly exam last year my dr found 2 suspicious areas and said,'' I'm so very sorry... but I'm going to have to do a few biopsy's." I instantly broke out in a full body sweat. Needles and cutting down there while awake?! I've never felt so vulnerable in my life. She coated the area with Lidocaine and left for 20 minutes before proceeding. Longest 20 minutes of my life! But I felt nothing, thank goodness. I honestly don't think Shannon could have stood a needle in that area with no numbing. -

I think it's a somewhat cheap trip for a dud group maybe? I love the trips on these shows but just watched the one where the NY women were there so not that interested in this visit. Plus I see where Vicki does the parasailing (?) and shrieking like a banshee with big eyes and little circle mouth the whole time. No thanks. -

I'm still trying to figure out why Gina is on this show. She is 'less than' any of even the normal women I know in my town! Her fakey hair, her extra fake eyelashes, her nails either bitten down past the quick or with those huge Lee Press On's⦠She's not O.C. material. (none of them are actually) I just can't with her or her story. Not interested one bit. Emily I feel sorry for because I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis and understand where she's coming from in trying to keep the weight off. But I also find nothing interesting at all in her or her little odd hubby. Her voice is also irritating in how she growls out her r's. Brownwyn or however you spell it-- too much of a try hard. I can see a lifetime of trying to get attention from Mommie by being outlandish. Sad but I don't want to watch. I used to like Shannon but now she's just boring. Ditto Kelly-- and she's even crazier than before. I can do without them, too. Vickie.... Vickie's become a caricature of herself. Not interested in her or her goofy looking boyfriend. SURE not interested in seeing her wedding (which I'm sure will be over the top and sickening) Tamara is still an evil little rat. Stirring pots here and there to stay relevant. Poor Eddie, I do feel sorry for him and wish him good health. But I'm not interested in their story-- whatever it is. I guess I'm just not interested. I remember rolling my eyes when people posted that they'd stopped watching one of the housewives shows out of disgust but now I understand. I don't think I've ever fast forwarded one as fast as I did tonights. Not interested in any of it. And I'm depressed and sad about that! Lately I've been watching old seasons of the New York ladies and then come to this! No comparison. Redo the whole cast and let us see the beauty of the O.C.-- shopping, restaurants, GOOD trips (not Miami) and something that makes us jealous of their fabulous lives. This group could be found in my small town-- none of them have any real money. And we have strip malls with a good exercise place in it. My friend runs an insurance agency. Show us something we can ooh and ahh over! Gah! -
Wow, Dr Will looked like a ventriloquist's dummy sitting there made up in his white make up, slightly silvered hair and suit with bow tie! If he wanted to stand out from the group, it was a win. Very interesting to see Michie's (gah, last time I print or say that name) whole persona change when: 1. Holly explained how she played the game (and it wasn't being pulled along by him) 2. He was being shown as a possible racist on national television and Mommy would see!! I actually felt sorry for the guy when he walked out into the confetti-- all his triumph was ruined for him. I don't like him but I had an inkling of how he was raised by the way he acted and it was sad. He will never be 'normal' and may fall apart when she dies. I blame Big Brother for casting people like this. They know what they're doing. š

You have us all beat rushing through your wedding rehearsal dinner for BB, haha! We had VCR's back then, though, girl! That's what I set up at my home while I was away on vacation so we could catch up when we got home if we couldn't see it live. Then I was still nerd enough (hubby was too!) to do my vacation stuff around the show so we could still watch it live. I had a VCR that fast forwarded through commercials BY ITSELF and the thing cost the same as a regular vcr-- can't remember the brand anymore but wow was I spoiled by it. We could sit back on the couch munching on treats and let it do it's magic! Those were the days š Happy Anniversary this September ā¤ļø !
