When whatever the TV Guide Channel is called now was still called the TV Guide Channel it had a show called Fashion Wrap that competed with this one, and the Fug Girls definitely appeared on it at least once. They are so great.

I really, REALLY wanted Rachel to ask if President Obama should sue Donald Trump about his near-decade of birther lies. But of course, she didn't hear me yelling at her, during the midnight rerun on a long drive home from watching my husband's beloved Giants lose to the freaking Eagles. I wouldn't have normally listened to this, but I needed the fury to keep me awake. I don't think I could bear seeing KAC's face.

Overall I agree with this, because the cold open and the Hillary sketch were fantastic and Weekend Update was en fuego, but my biggest actual laugh was from Dunkin' Donuts. So funny and so, so true.

Tonight's show was great. I particularly appreciated finding out about the days-long packed protests at the North Carolina state house. I knew what the legislature was trying to do but I didn't know how many people were there trying to stop them.

Holy crap, I never realized before this that Kristen Bell has never hosted. That is criminal and needs to be corrected immediately.

I made the mistake of watching some of that episode because it aired as the 10 pm rerun. That Poehler Hillary and McKinnon Hillary sketch was like a dagger to the heart.

The current Wells Fargo scandal is not about loans, it's about how their employees opened up multiple fee-generating retail accounts (checking, savings and debit cards) for their customers without their knowledge or permission. IIRC WF was actually one of the best actors among the big banks after the 2008 financial crisis - they had to have their arms twisted to take the bailout money because they didn't have enough bad loans to actually need it. I showed my 12-year-old edited bits and pieces of this show once I watched it all the way through, and she remembered that LMM had been on PBS Kids' The Electric Company! They remade it a few years back.

Am I the only one who wanted the Wells Fargo sketch to go on forever? I hate them so much, and everyone was singing so fantastically. I seriously could have watched 15 minutes of that. The monologue was seriously great. I was looking for the llama and missed it! Caught the Vegas dancer/Rockette people, Abraham Lincoln, and Jesus, though. Weekend Update was great - loved the riff on the Tic Tacs - except for the excuses for Fallon treating Trump like a cute little troll doll on his show a couple of weeks ago. If he regrets that he should tell us on his own show, out of character, without Tina prompting him to. Crucible Cast Party was fantastic, and I am an expert as my high school did the Crucible my sophomore year. I was head of makeup! I missed Kellyanne and Melania, more tomorrow. Worth a rewatch.
