  1. Bar model is just a fancy name. It's promotions. Like the people in Costco that hand out samples. It's usually something people do part time. Probably did it to earn some extra cash while in college (one of the college times). Probably enjoyed the flexibility of it. Gonna guess the nanny job was more of the same. Probably took a job as a nanny (mother's helper) while pursuing this latest degree.
  2. I read that Ashley was let go from her job as a nanny when the father of that family lost his job.
  3. Maybe David asked for a spooning session? It doesn't fit the narrative he's been giving us or what he just said on this episode. Not really believable that she'd spoon and make-out with him now.
  4. Emily is claiming it's all editing again. No amount of editing can excuse her friend questioning Mitch's sexual orientation. What TLC did show was Emily threatening to walk out if the producer asked her 'again' why she didn't tell family or friends.
  5. If Neil didn't get that telling Sam he didn't miss her would hurt her feelings, then he is a Sheldon Cooper. I get a deliberate obtuse vibe from Neil. He says things very flatly with little affect and then does his wide eyed "what" routine. I think he still harbors some anger at how poorly Sam treated him on camera the first 4 weeks and he does these passive aggressive snipes. Tres does all the right things 'on paper'. But it must seem insincere to Vanessa. I can understand why he wouldn't want to give up his apartment. But if he's really into Vanessa, one of them should move in with the other. Paying for 3 places doesn't make sense. Living in one and subletting the other one does. Glad Tres thought Vanessa was being caring about his allergic reaction. It didn't come across that way to me while they were on horseback. She must have stepped it up. Hope Nola didn't leave 'presents' behind at the B&B. David doesn't apologize well. Sorry but. Sorry if. Nope. Just stop at Sorry. What was so frustrating to his brother and sister about Ashley not going to Buffalo? He mentioned it at least 2x saying they were frustrated and then he said he was frustrated. Were his siblings frustrated at a potential lack of camera time? What's frustrating about someone not coming to visit when they aren't staying with you? Annoying. Irritating. OK. Frustrating? Weird. I like Squirrel Park (or whatever it was called). Reminds me of the corporate challenges we used to have to do. Maybe that's something they should schedule earlier, like week 3. Build trust and teamwork exercises. Spiritual adviser Greg Epstein. Yawn.
  6. That was odd. At the squirrel place he said that was the first time Ashley kissed him was right before he jumped (he asked for a kiss, pointed to his cheek and Ashley obliged). Then he says to Jamie that he and Ashley kissed after polishing off 2 bottles of wine while in bed and that they even spooned. Guess that was after squirrel mountain.
  7. It's been obvious (to viewers at least), that Ashley wasn't interested day of wedding or during the honeymoon. And then she got even less interested once they were back. So none of that is surprising. I don't think she should have signed up for this show even if she wanted it to work (and there's nothing suggesting that she did). 20K wouldn't been enough to me (even though 6 weeks, that's not bad, being married to someone and having to get divorced for a paycheck, nah). If the above and what you posted later are all true, it doesn't make Ashley look good. And I don't think she did herself any favors in agreeing to the show, how she behaves in most scenes and her alleged off screen behavior. Doesn't change my opinion of her or David. Still don't think much of either. Nope. This is my first season watching this show. Never heard of it before. My mom DVR'd it and showed it to me when I went out for a visit. I saw it from the wedding ceremonies on.
  8. Ahhhhh. When is this coming back on?
  9. Interesting. Guess the zoning allows for that. Is this on HGTV or just DIY?
  10. Emily had said that she didn't tell her friends & family. IMO, she was looking at this as another acting job. I doubt though that she didn't tell her bestie Suziey (the one that brought up the gay question). I think they might even be roomies, they are that close. I also get the feeling that John would have preferred the skinny girly girl and not Chandler, former professional soccer player, who is just as fit and even sportier than him. Looks wise, I think they are on par. chandler has angles she looks good, and John looks horrible when his face gets all dark. Guess we won't be seeing anymore of Maravic until the reunion?
  11. Spill. The only thing that my mind is made up about is that this is a show. As I have said before, no-one is flawless or perfect. And none of this impacts my life directly so perhaps it's easier for me to be objective? Dunno.
  12. Biker dude's blog is his viewpoint - doesn't make it fact. So what that he said that Ashley said that they should see other people. They were 9 years into a relationship and he takes 6 months off from his regular life including his job and her. And she should sit at home dutifully waiting for him to return to her? Was he hooking up with other people? Was that a pattern with him? Who knows. I guess it's more 'fun' to dump on Ashley and cast her as a villain in every circumstance. This makes me laugh. Did she run up his credit cards? Have him donate a kidney? Or just 'use' him as a way to get back at an ex? Neither one of this couple is a flawless gem or without an ulterior motive. Doubt it. Though I haven't seen much support of women from other women on these boards (or others). Usually, people jump on the man's side. Especially in the housewives shows, it's the 'poor picked upon husband' when in reality, they are just as imperfect as the wife. It's be nice if people were viewed more objectively but that ain't gonna happen either. #jmo
  13. Bike riding blogger seems like a self absorbed frat boy. Quits his job to cycle across the country. And Ashley is now a bitch because she doesn't want to 'go steady' with her absentee boyfriend anymore? They should see other people if they aren't going to be seeing each other. It was too soon whether it was 6 months or a year after the break-up of a long term relationship. I can believe that Ashley did the show for money and to make an ex jealous. I don't think anything that Atlanta Insider said isn't anything that any one of us could have supposed on our own.
  14. Emily is claiming that it's all editing. Sure. Wonder how she would have liked it if Mitch's roommate asked her close friend Suzanne (Suziey) Block if she and Emily were gay. Bet she wouldn't find that funny. Emily got all bent out of shape during one of the talking heads (interviews) when a producer asked why none of her friends attended. She threatened to walk off the set. Yet, it's OK to dig for personal stuff about Mitch on camera? Not cool. At least Emily has finally learned how to set her personal Facebook page to private (mostly). Emily & Suziey have filmed yet another game show together -- The Celebrity Name Game with Bill Engvall.
  15. John's face in the car and at home was creepy scary. He got dark and sinister looking very quickly. Run Chandler run. I wonder if he was hoping for the salon assistant manager instead. Chandler is more of an equal. I don't think he wants that. Or a marriage really. Just his 15 minutes. Emily was horrible. Her friends were worse. Felt like they were doing her dirty work. Run Mitch run. Christina, yup, she wanted her princess wedding where she was the star. Tom is too decent for her. He does look like her dad so maybe she'll take it a little easier on him. Still, run Tom run.
  16. Major eyeroll at this: https://twitter.com/Ruqibabe/status/698705532480286720 David supposedly was mad at a producer during the father's day scene because "he felt they were exploiting his [father's] death and wanted none of it". OK, yet he brings it up often and then films a scene at the grave site. Right.
  17. Gah, that was a dreadful scene. For some reason my DVR stopped recording the episodes. Gonna have to watch it on demand I guess. So David... visiting his father's grave with beer. OK. Poor some out for his homie? Share one with dad? Dad's favorite beer was the 6-pack? Weird to me. He was 7 when his dad died - his memories include his dad's fave beer? Whatevs. Then tells us that he shares his big / special moments with dad. OK. Then says he hasn't been there since he was 21. Um. OK? So he hasn't been there in 8-9 years and he comes with a camera crew? Says he really wishes he had his dad's guidance - I get that ... except he makes it sound like he was used to getting dad's help with the big stuff. But his dad died when he was 7. What big stuff was there? Maybe it is his mom who won't let go and that's why David can't (or won't). Then he professes his love again for Ashley. Oh c'mon dude, who believes that? What an empty hollow fake thing to say. Guess he is good at sales. I have no idea if the AZ charges are his. The name, dob, timing and his leaving his job all line up. But it's a common name so yea, an admission by him or a mugshot needs to be found. Whoever that DN is though, doesn't mean that he wasn't violent, he got a DV counseling as part of his sentence -- that's not to be taken lightly. What did Ray Rice get? Yea, first time offenders can get off easy. Did they ever explain why Ashley and David's honeymoon was in the states (AZ) versus the other couples? Did one of them not have a passport?
  18. The mother did have some smug looks on her face when Marcus was talking to them. She's well aware that they aren't holding their own end and are just coasting.
  19. Insane that they got their own carpenter wrong!
  20. I haven't seen Brooks Atwood on the show but I haven't seen all the episodes. Do you mean Brooks Utley?
  21. If he can do that, I hope he does. The stepfather doesn't really deserve anything at this point. When he walked into the Chicagoland store (over an hour late) and started criticizing everything.. I was hoping Marcus would remind him that he had 4 months in which he could have shown up and participated. Instead Marcus points out that leaders don't criticize, they inspire. True but this guy isn't supposed to be just a cheerleader, he's supposed to be of practical help as well.
  22. Thanks for posting these! I have never heard of Jamie. Is she from a prior year of MAFS? I think Ashley explained it well when she said that she opened up to David about her feelings and he 'yes butted" her every time. I think he's too busy getting ready to answer and he's not really listening. He might want to work on that in the future.
  23. Mitch said there was no infidelity with his parents. I like his mom - she seems nice and normal. Cannot image that they'd get death threats. Too many trolls online think it's funny I suppose. I like the newest guy for Christina.
  24. Marcus should have an accountant or bookkeeper on his payroll that watches over these Profit deals and in this case, the money should come to him and he doles it out. He is 55%. Can't rely on the cheaters to pay you. 25. I didn't trash anyone BTW. I pointed out that David's sister was behaving the same way as David. Another poster had posted screenshots of his sister's tweets where she contradicted herself in matter of a few tweets. I didn't bring his sister into anything. Just replying to what was posted. BTW.
