  1. On to Episode 2 -- one dad is on crutches, so there may not be many physical competitions involving the dads. It has to be weird for Miles that he has been estranged from his dad for quite some time -- only for his dad to show up on this dumb reality show. I can't believe they blurred a portion of the back of the dad's overalls -- they blurred 'hole' in the phrase "your hole is our goal" which seems entirely relevant to this show. Especially when it said "insertion specialist" on the front of the overalls. By the way, those overalls are available online. The strip competition was dull by comparison to the maple syrup competition. And we get our first instance of manufactured drama between Crystal and Barby. At least now we know WHERE in Canada this season is taking place -- the Dunlop Street Diner where the party happened is in the city of Barrie, Ontario, according to Google Maps
  2. Finally watched episode 1 of Season 2. The one plus about moving from Mexico to Canada -- fewer oil tankers/freighters in the background shots. Barby is already working on her catch phrase from the get go -- "cootchie tingles". Is "Marketing Executive" secret code for 'stripper mom' ? All of the MILFs appear to have had a lot of work done -- even Barby says she can't smile because she has had so much botox. Kelly has a weird obsession with smells. She scares me. I doubt that was actually maple syrup in those containers -- because real maple syrup is really expensive. I suspect it was some cheap knock off pancake syrup. Christina is into BDSM and doesn't mind getting her butt bit -- noted. Surprised that they could only get 5 guys for the 6 MILFs -- or was that intentional just to stir competitiveness. Here come the dads -- I'm surprised that Kelly didn't smell them coming a mile away.
  3. The untangling cords game was pretty good. And Mike Birbiglia gets eliminated again before FTW.
  4. Maybe it was just my TV, but Taylor's jacket was so BRIGHT PINK in Tuesday night's episode. ETA: It was my TV, colour was oversaturated and made the pink jacket crazy bright.
  5. Mike Birbiglia was on @Midnight just once -- on July 28, 2016 alongside Gillian Jacobs and Tami Sagher. Mike was eliminated before FTW.
  6. Agreed -- a lot of special effects updates to the TOS episodes look cheesy and poorly done, and really take away from the look and feel of the original episodes. In this particular episode, for some reason with the updated special effects they made the planetkiller shorter and smaller for some reason, so it loses something.
  7. Catching up on a few episodes from last week -- the April 25 episode was a lot of fun. Jason, Chloé, and Moshe played off each other well. I liked the Unimpressed game.
  8. Maybe I missed it, but did they ever explain how Angela found out about the neighbor's gold stash let alone WHERE the location of the bunker was ? The victim's wife mentioned in passing that the neighbor had converted all his money to gold to guard against the dollar failing, but would that really be enough information to stage a heist without verifying it was true ? Because the neighbor didn't seem to know who Angela was when he was in the interrogation room I'm more surprised that the truck driver didn't get in more trouble after his visit with the prostitute in the parking lot compromised what he was carrying -- especially after the lock would have been found missing when he made his delivery.
  9. I've never played the video game so this is all new to me too -- and I'm really enjoying it.
  10. I did chuckle at Tweeters Sinai Bird Hospital. Some of the other jobs on gig-junkie.com: -- Graverobber's Apprentice -- Physically fit night owl needed to excavate, appraise jewelry, and haggle with pawnbrokers for illicit, exciting, and occasionally smelly work. Morally ambivalent shovel owners preferred -- Bolt Gun Operators -- Smart, non-squeamish animal-lovers needed to facilitate Bovine cerebral puncturing at large multinational Beef and Horse meat concern. No weirdos. -- Ride Share Driver -- Shoe Shiner -- Fight Club Referee Here's the list of ghost kitchens operating out of GimmeChow: -- Appetite 4 Induction -- Nugget Safari -- Wok Tease -- Atlas Grubbed -- Wing Slut -- Gospel Fried Catfish -- Final Moo BBQ -- The Phuket Bucket -- Uncle Mohl's Deli -- Mama Juju's Bayou Bistro The big bucket of Mayo was labeled Mayo Edebiri, a play on 'The Bear' cast member Ayo Edebiri. Union protest signs: -- Labor Rules -- Chop Onions, Not Unions -- Tech Bros Drool -- No Justice, No Pizza
  11. Coming late to the party -- finally binge-watched Season 1 and 2, and you guys were not kidding about the glacial pace of this series. Instead of calling this series 'Invasion' they could have just called it the 'Aneesha and family traipsing through the woods hour'. Seriously, how many times are her kids going to wander off/get lost/get kidnapped ? Every time Aneesha shouted "Luke" I was just waiting for someone to shout back 'I'll be right there Aunt Beru". I can't believe everyone on the planet was acting so nonchalant what with the giant alien spaceship hovering in the sky all through Season 2. Maybe I missed it but did they ever explain why they didn't nuke the giant alien spaceship ? Because they still had enough nukes to blow up those carrier ships that were exposed when they turned off the cloaking. And we can certainly do without the love triangles -- adult or school-age varieties -- what with the world on the verge of being conquered/terraformed. A lot of this series makes no sense at all -- you really do get the feeling that the writers were making it up as they went along. I find it hard to believe that this got renewed for Season 3.
  12. Or trim the show back to the half hour format of the original series.
  13. Matt Braunger was a regular on @Midnight, but I'd never seen Chloe or Chris before either. On the upside, Tuesday's show with Amy, Shane, and Kyle was pretty funny.
  14. Oh no !!!! What are the odds that Allie survives being trapped in the basement of an abandoned hospital ?
  15. Finally watched this episode -- and have never laughed as hard as when that truck went spinning through the air in Catherine's '5 years ago' flashback.
