Thats a fun thing and a nice getaway once empty nesters.   

I see a married couple with a great sense of humor who have a healthy, respectful relationship. It's well known they enjoy a close relationship with Michael Gelman (& Art) and a wonderful long term staff that's like family to everyone.:)

I do wonder about that.  Joaquin will graduate from college soon, and that often is a benchmark for many married couples.  I presume that Mark signed at least a three-year contract, as that was Ryan's initial agreement.  We are nearly halfway through that three years.

Clearly the three-days-at-the-studio work schedule is very talent-friendly.  Not many would walk away from that, and the millions of dollars in salary.

I know a few folks here who will throw up a bit in their mouths, but Kelly has banked probably close to half a billion dollars during her quarter-decade at WABC and Live.  That's stunning for anyone. And also indicative of how lucrative the syndicated market has been.  Sure, it's less crazed right now, but their little old show is still top of the heap.

The show moves to a huge, modern facility at some point next spring.  That will change the dynamic for both hosts. It will be a different routine. They will likely have more space than they ever imagined. There will be new faces in the hallways and new procedures to follow. Look at how it's already changed The View. Their stage is twice the size and they look like ants marching out in the cavernous studio.

Art Moore's departure will also play into this. Yes, you can fake appreciation, but I think both Consuelos really admired/appreciated whatever the heck he had done for them through the years. It seemed that Art was a big advocate for Kelly since she arrived on the scene.

Their production company has yet to hit a homerun.  It's barely noticeable.  I listened to her podcast when it first started, but its so exhausting and the 40 minute interviews are rarely groundbreaking.

I suspect a plan has already been developed.  Gelman has been around even longer, so you have to wonder when he will decide he wants to spend his time away from the city.

The staff is probably one thing that keeps Kelly, Mark, and Gelman showing up.  So many of their staffers are lifers.  

No show can go on forever.  No co-host duo is forever.  Just like Ryan, Mark will likely agree to more than his original contract.  He clearly wants to keep acting.

Long discussion today about Thanksgiving dinner & all I could think was that Kelly does not eat a single bite all day long. She just seems to have an aversion to food in general.  Except little bites of nuts here and there.

Actually, a funny on set “tiff” between Gelman and another producer while on the air. They were on opposite ends of the studio on either side of Kelly & Mark. It was funny because you could hear something and Mark was looking perturbed at the producer and Kelly sort of looking at Gelman. It was distracting them and finally she called them out on the air. She basically said you’re not invisible and everyone can see you. What is the issue? The issue was dumb but it was funny that Kelly called them out. Normally, I would think she was overacting and being a diva but you could clearly see Kelly and Mark being like, WTF is going on? LOL!!!!

Today’s show - okay I love Kelly’s look - I love that dark navy color. Couldn’t stop admiring her hair, makeup, blouse … She has had some really good work done and that hairstyle covers the sides of her face which can look wonky sometimes. They had the NY marathon runners on. Spent some time talking to Aiden, who works there and ran the marathon in 3:14 pretty good. Kelly wonders why he is single. (Probably training all the time). Oh, his Dad is the cameraman. Nice to have connections. Kelly is an optimist, not a dowager (can’t remember the context). She interrupted the Stump Mark thing (which went on entirely too long) to tell us that March said the Stupidest Thing: that he would rather sky dive than run a marathon. I’m with Mark on that one.

Not that I tune in all the time, but if I’m not too busy I like to tune in for host chat. I don’t want to tune in to see them bickering or her hyper antics and tics. It is difficult to watch. What they really need are a replacement set of people to do the show on Thursday and Friday. They can also host when K&M take one of their frequent vacations. Get a new producer so that Gelman can also have his time off. It’s been a long time since he has come yup with anything new or exciting in their segments. Send in something with enthusiasm and some fun ideas on how to shake it up. The show has gotten stale and it’s getting past its sell by date. 
I believe the above would never happen due to her jealousy and her need to be queen bee.

One of the big reasons they pre-tape Thursday and Friday is that it allows the studio to remain dark (unused).  All the affiliated infrastructure costs, including all the costs for security and lighting and sound makeup/hair and guest services, are eliminated.

It can't be a huge savings, but it's still a savings.  Plus all those behind the scenes union technical staffers get to work 3 days and have two days off to pick up freelance work.

We have no idea what kind of contract the hosts have.  If they have a suggested "leave the show" date in mind, it isn't public.  Competitive Kelly may want to outlast Regis' tenure.  Or they may want to bag it all once Joaquin graduates and Bob Iger leaves ABC.

Honestly, ratings are sky-high, buzz remains strong, and this isn't a current events program.  Viewers that want that have already fled to Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, or The View.

The move to the new studio may change things up a bit.  They will no longer be so isolated, although I have noticed that GMA isn't rushing to move to the mega-complex.

Just tuned in to the Monday show in Palm Springs.  Oh my, Kelly is in the wrap dress that she wears in the NY studio at least once a week.  They couldn't find a more appropriate wardrobe for the dessert? And same boring hairdo.  I am no fashionista but even I could put together a better ensemble for what is probably 95 degree weather.  Cute shorts, sleeveless dress, hair up in a bun or ponytail. Please, please just give us something else!!

NYCRunner, you took the words right out of my mouth!  When I saw the dress Kelllmeeeee had on I could not believe it.  I almost think that thing has been around from the Regis days, lol.  How appropriate would it have been to have her in a cute skort with a short sleeve shirt, white sneakers and a cute ponytail??  

My gosh, she looked awful, both in that ridiculous wrap dress and her hair and make-up.  Her face looked like it was melting under that sun and her hair looked like it hadn't been washed in weeks.

Ridiculous show.  Their remotes, at one time, used to be fun to watch; not anymore.

Palm Springs is beautiful , but the shows are so BORING! I think it’s because they don’t have as many guests willing to go there . 

The golf segment was stupid and dull , and Jerry O’Connell is so hyper and weird ! I can’t take him more than a few minutes .

It hilarious when Kelly acts like she’s stuck in the cold weather of NYC when she posts pictures a least once a month in a tropical or warm  location.  Spoiled celebrities are so out of touch with real life things like working an actual 40 hour , 5 days a week  and not having the time and money to fly out every week when they get chilly !

Glad the Palm Springs shows are done.  So boring.

That was pretty funny even though it was at the expense of her immortal beloved, lol.  She would have never shared a personal story about herself if she were the butt of the joke.  Also shows that for the both of them, they are their own "biggest fans," so in love with themselves, lol.  This story fits so well with all of their IG pic thirst traps.

Just saw a reel on FB with the Sweet Potato Pie recipe from Live! and it really looked good.  I might try it for this Thanksgiving.  

What drew my attention to the page was the still of Kelllmeee and her emaciated breastplate.  For the love of Regis, what has she done to her body?   You could count every rib starting from the top down to the cut of her dress.  I also noticed this on one of her IG pics from last week and she had a deep cut v-neck outfit on and the rib situation was disturbing.

Also noticed the gray hairline again today.   I do remember she talked about going gray several months ago so maybe she's trying it out?  

Also, could MARK CONSUELOS!!!! be given the task of reading all the news clippings from now on???  Please, please, Kellllmeeeee cannot read in addition to not being able to speak.  So annoying waiting for her to read and then summarize what she is going to read.

For me, it was unwatchable. I heard Cher was going to be on so I tuned in. Why could Kelly not keep her mouth shut? I wanted to hear Cher's stories, from HER, but instead here was Kelly, finishing her thoughts and sentences. Not only that, she blabbed the punchline to stories Cher was telling us!

I think it was very important to Kelly to have Cher know she read her book. That was NOT a good interview. Cher was very gracious, however.

lol, that was a very weird thread, as I said, I responded with my own post, it never showed up, I then reposted and left out a few things from my original post that never showed up, lol.

I agree with you about MARK CONSUELOS!!!! and all his nervous tics.  I don't know if he is as nervous as Kelllmeeeee claims she is doing the show but his hard squinting seems to be more prevalent and very noticeable, at least to me.

Can't remember what the topic was during one of the crap chats this week, but Kelllmeeee seemed to purposely embarrass him and whatever it was, he earnestly tried to defend himself.  There really was no point to her story, it was only there to embarrass her husband.  I don't know what gets into her when she does these things, because this wasn't the first time she purposely called him out for something that you can see he's clearly uncomfortable with in the way she is portraying him.

And regarding the nepotism or privilege (hate that word, lol) of Lola, I can't imagine her singing voice is enabling her to live the good life in London (although she and her beau may be living together and sharing the expenses.)  I would have to think that mommy and daddy are helping financially.

I believe Mark's hard squinting is increasing daily. Poor guy. He does his best to put up with her nastiness.  Looks like he seems to be biting his tongue a lot of the time. I don't ever remember this nervous twitch when he used to guest host. Although for the most part he does seem to adore her. Maybe she's nicer to him off camera? Today on a prerecorded show(of course!) she bragged about her perfect children and how they can make conversation, eye contact, are physically fit, blah, blah🙄

Today's crap chat was beyond sickening with Kelllmeeee babbling on about their Architectural Digest spread.  First, she couldn't spit the words out, took her forever to get to the point and then the kicker was her trying to downplay their opulent 5-story Brownstown on the Upper East Side of NYC!  Nice try Kelllmeee but I'm not buying it.

I also took notice of the artwork in their living room that she said Gloria Vanderbilt (was that who she said??) gifted them because Gloria thought it looked like Kelllmeee and MARK CONSUELOS!!!!  The picture was of two naked people in a full frontal embrace, lol.  Omg, you can't make this stuff up.  I don't know how Ms. Vanderbilt would know what they look like or would even want to replicate it as art but these people are very strange, lol.

Their house is gorgeous, it reflects the millions of dollars they have made for themselves and if they want to flaunt it, let them, lol.  It just kind of seems out of character for them to be so ostentatious and wanting to publicize it.

But....the high point for me was Kellllmeeee AGAIN trying to embarrass her husband with the snow shoveling.  Mark looked very uncomfortable after she finally dropped the subject and for just a moment, he gave it back to her when he laughed about her "story-killer" searches on her phone for pictures during their dinner parties just to prove her point. 

Guess what Kelllmeeee, you are a 'story-killer' each and every day when you open your mouth on the Live! set.

You're right @Cementhead!!  She hasn't mentioned him or the other bff, Andy Cohen in a while.  About the Heroes event....I somehow think Kelllmeee thinks she's beyond hosting those things now.  She and MARK CONSUELOS!!! are breathing the rarified air of the UES, lol.

It’s hilarious how Kelly always tries to appear average ! She whines about the bad weather in NYC and then posts a picture of her and Mark in their first class individual pods flying out again this weekend . Heaven forbid she experiences any temperature under 85 degrees when it’s not a work day in NYC!   Maybe if she didn’t weigh 93 lbs she might not be freezing in 50 degree weather ! I remember when Regis was still on and they  had a Guinness record  attempt where someone was pulling a tractor trailor and Kelly’s weight of 93llbs was added to the weight of the truck !

It’s also funny how she acts like they live in a normal house when it’s worth 27 million ! 

The rich and their children really do not live in reality at all. Lola is a “singer “ living in London and spending her time making singing videos and traveling all over Europe . When Kelly said her friend was an art dealer I bade to laugh ! Sure , someone who is about 24 just happened to become an art dealer already ? Just like Michael became a “producer “  because buddy Andy gave him a job !

But, I'm thrilled for her and so happy that she was able to "lose weight" during her weekend get-a-way to Italy!  Yay for you Kellllmeeeee because you were beginning to look a bit chubby of late, lol.

Omg, does she ever stop obsessing about her weight??  I can only imagine the amount of pasta you let pass your lips in order for you to drop weight, lol.

And, back to trying to embarrass her hubby, she went after him immediately and just looked at him and waited to pounce!  And pounce she did, 'you didn't order me what I wanted, I showed you what I wanted when we walked in......'

Seriously, I don't know how he puts up with her.  He did try and set the record straight when he talked about her dramatics, but I wish he would just look at her and say, "are you serious right now?!"

I do like Mark but a few snobby things that bug me about him. I think I've mentioned in the past so forgive me! He won't ever look toward the dancer. At least Kellmee will do that now & then! When the audience member gets their number chosen, he laughs, kind of like oh, you are such a commoner. 
Last, on today's show, he was saying I think I see Chewy in the corner but they are Christmas gifts, Gucci, Prada, Balenciaga, just obnoxious. We are SO 🤑 rich.

And you are correct @NYCRunner her immortal beloved certainly has become one smug guy--never really looks at the trivia dancer, barely engages with the stump Mark contestant and has changed quite a bit since last year.  I have to say I'm a little disappointed in him, lol.

Did I misinterpret Kelllmeeee's rant today about her clothing?  I was only half-listening, but I thought she said she used to put so much thought into dressing??  Then Ryan Seacrest wore pajamas most of the time????  So she started wearing casual blazers, etc.???  So now she doesn't give a flying fig and comes dressed in sweats??  What???  Is that why she wears the same ugly dresses on rotation?  Does it have anything to do with the fact she has a new stylist at Live!???

In today's episode of "tell me your rich without telling me you're rich."

Kellllmeeee remarks that she never knows where MARK CONSUELOS!!! goes after they leave their 1 hour job, lol.

He gently tells her he's at the gym or he's at home in the kitchen.

"No, you're not in the kitchen because I'm there," Kelly says.

With that, MARK CONSUELOS!!!! smiles the widest smile he can muster as he looks at the camera and says, "then I'm on the 5th floor doing manly stuff."

P.S.  I wonder if he tips the elevator operator every time he goes up to the 5th floor? lol

And in her AD video she says they both come home from the show and hit the "snack pantry".  So they make things up as they go along.  I wonder what is the truth.  I am guessing they have "shtick" for the show and life for them is normal for rich people.  I am not begrudging them the rich.  For whatever reason they have made it big and even if some don't think they are deserving, there are a lot more who do, hence the ratings/salaries/ etc.  Both sets of their parents have been married forever and they have been married over 25? years, so I guess they have learned what works for them.

Another funny thing I caught today, Kelly brings up air tagging Chewy because she went missing & Mark looks beyooond annoyed because she had already told a similar story on a previous show. His impatience was palpable 😂
