Per numerous photos over at RFF, teams are currently in Asuncion, Paraguay. It is unknown if it is leg 3, or if another leg was snuck in somewhere. Its been a quiet season on the social media front so far!

Asuncion native Docol has plenty of pics sent over to Peach. RFF has a ton of photos. Paraguay will be in Leg 4.

Those sneaky producers starting in the middle of the night, really limiting sightings!!

I suspect it was partly because of the flight timings, and partly because they may have originally been planning to start in one of the areas affected by the fires so moved the start to LAX at short notice.

The finale is in New Orleans!!

Just to have it in one post:

1 - LA to Trinidad and Tobago

2- Manaus, Brazil

3-Manaus, Brazil

4-Asuncion, Paraguay

5-Paris, France

6-Berlin, Germany

7-Almaty, Kazakhstan

8-Almaty, Kazakhstan

9-Hyderabad, India

10-Siem Reap, Cambodia

11-Manila, Philippines

12-New Orleans, Louisiana

Great route! Lord knows when we'll see it though..

Can you let me know what RFF is?  Google has not been my friend.

Yes, but not anymore.  Alas, CBS prioritizes Survivor and Big Brother over TAR and TAR is only seen between runs of those shows.

I never liked Survivor and Big Brother. They are all about fake drama and you get some with TAR but at least you get the education about the different countries and cultures.

Me too. I used to be a Survivor watcher where I don't like the recent seasons of that series are became sucked, boring location and not so good challenges. I am still okay with TAR that I hate long wait schedule. CBS should boycott now to move the premiere date earlier than May.

I wonder why more people don't complain about TAR having such long waits inbetween seasons. But maybe it's because they don't advertise that they are waiting that long?

There’s a clear scheduling reason for TAR 31 not airing until May. There really wasn’t 12 weeks where the show could be scheduled on Wednesdays at 8 until then.

CBS has finally figured out what some of us had said for years. TAR’s original time slot back in 2001 is the best one. And that’s the way TAR is headed. I suspect for next year something will likely be done with Survivor so the time slot gets shared more equally. Survivor’s rating numbers have continued to decline and I suspect its spring edition won’t do any better than this fall’s did or even this past spring. So there’s all of that to consider.

Survivor isn't going anywhere. It may be down, but it's still their second or third highest rated show. And CBS wont have big bang theory next year. It will be very interesting to see how CBS handles their schedule next year, if they drop low rated shows like Magnum PI and Madam Secretary, and how they rearrange their comedies without BBT.

Quote I found on Google (amazing race broken ox): In Friday night's episode of the CBS reality competition, the four remaining teams — Adam and Bethany; Maya and Amy; Brooke and Robbie; and Misti and Jim — get muddy as they compete in the same challenge after racing to Manila, Philippines.

The original broken ox was Colin and Christy.  I think this was one of those tasks that were repeated from prior seasons in a later race which is what you found with Google.  The original broken ox was in Season 5 and also occurred in the Philippines.

As I posted at the other internet forum at RTV Games that weeks before TAR 32 was filmed:

ORIGINAL ROUTE PLAN

  • Leg 1: Los Angeles, California, USA 🇺🇸 to Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
  • Leg 2: Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 to Bogota, Colombia 🇨🇴
  • Leg 3: Bogota, Colombia 🇨🇴 to Lima, Peru 🇵🇪
  • Leg 4: Lima, Peru 🇵🇪 to Rotorua, New Zealand (including Matamata via Auckland) 🇳🇿
  • Leg 5: Rotorua, New Zealand 🇳🇿 to Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺
  • Leg 6: Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 to Siem Reap, Cambodia 🇰🇭
  • Leg 7: Siem Reap, Cambodia 🇰🇭 to Sadasivpet, India (via Hyderabad) 🇮🇳
  • Leg 8: Sadasivpet, India 🇮🇳 to Hyderabad, India 🇮🇳
  • Leg 9: Hyderabad, India 🇮🇳 to Almaty, Kazakhstan 🇰🇿
  • Leg 10: Almaty, Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 to Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪
  • Leg 11: Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪 to Paris, France 🇫🇷
  • Leg 12: Paris, France 🇫🇷 to New Orleans, Louisiana, USA 🇺🇸

Therefore, the original route plan was to start racing across the Caribbean island off the South American continent to continue racing westward across the Pacific Ocean into Oceania, then to Asia, Europe and home, with Paris as the penultimate leg that every season of TAR always have a large city penultimate leg.

The route has changed a lot as the wildfires spread out Southern California just a couple of days before the race started, the production moved a starting line at night and here is the (spoiled) actual route was given (with alternates):

ACTUAL (AND FINALIZED) ROUTE

  • Leg 1: Los Angeles, California, USA 🇺🇸 to Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
  • Leg 2: Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 to Bogota, Colombia 🇨🇴
  • Leg 3: Bogota, Colombia 🇨🇴 to Manaus, Brazil 🇧🇷
  • Leg 4: Manaus, Brazil 🇧🇷 to Asuncion, Paraguay 🇵🇾
  • Leg 5: Asuncion, Paraguay 🇵🇾 to Paris, France 🇫🇷
  • Leg 6: Paris, France 🇫🇷 to Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪
  • Leg 7: Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪 to Almaty, Kazakhstan 🇰🇿
  • Leg 8: Almaty, Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 to Hyderabad, India (rural) 🇮🇳
  • Leg 9: Hyderabad, India (urban) 🇮🇳
  • Leg 10: Hyderabad, India 🇮🇳 to Siem Reap, Cambodia 🇰🇭
  • Leg 11: Siem Reap, Cambodia 🇰🇭 to Manila, Philippines 🇵🇭
  • Leg 12: Manila, Philippines 🇵🇭 to New Orleans, Louisiana, USA 🇺🇸

Before that, the producers were in a scrambled conflicts on those pre-planned routes as some have given alternate locations: Brazil, Paraguay and The Philippines.

Brazil and Paraguay have replaced the planned Peru/New Zealand/Australia leg(s) whereas Asuncion will have a Watermelon (TAR 20 Detour-A switchback) and Bottle Dance. (TAR 20 Roadblock switchback) While The Philippines is shown almost completely conflicted with different TAR that filmed as the same time with TAR 32:

TAR Israel 7, that season will be visited South Africa, Zambia, Mauritius, Nepal, China and the Philippines

TAR Israel 8, the Philippines will also include there to serve as the starting line, other countries to be visited including Netherlands, Germany, Armenia, Portugal, Chile, Ecuador and Brazil

Then, the route has changed into a completely opposite eastward direction.

I won't tell this to RFF that might've caused me a ban. This is a pure speculation.

One year ago and a day today, I created those two threads as you can see this one with no elimination spoilers that I bumped out those threads in RFF into the early hours in LAX at past 3 in the morning on November 10, 2018.

Its been a long wait since TAR 32 filmed a year ago and hoping to premiere in the midseason schedule. Fingers crossed.

I can confirm when I last posted back in February, the Philippines is an alternate country for TAR 32 that will be visited on this season as it was given a last-minute change to now-cancelled legs in Australia or New Zealand was planned pre-production.

Remember, the Philippines has overlapped within not one, but two Amazing Race franchises: Israel and the US as they filmed at the same time (November 26-December 3, 2018).
