TwistedandBored October 31, 2018 Share October 31, 2018 It is like Jefferson can't catch a break man. Tobias walks free. Honestly Freeland's criminal justice system sucks. Looks like Anissa's little Robin Hood adventures will be catching up with the whole family. Dr. Jace is seriously more of psychopath than I thought. Honestly, Lynn needs to do something about her and soon before she puts her own family at risk. Am I the only one who remembers Khalil insulting and trying to humiliate Jennifer even before he was injected with Green lightening? Khalil is beautiful but let's not forget he is also an a-hole. Also, I can't believe Fowdy died like that. 4 Link to comment
Lantern7 October 31, 2018 Share October 31, 2018 (edited) I don't know if the CW will get away with this episode. I mean, isn't watching protagonists getting shat upon over and over and over considered a niche fetish subset? Okay, it's metaphorical shit, but damn. To review: Tobias walks exonerated from killing Jefferson's dad. The principal is as big a prick as I'd expect. Jennifer till can't control her powers, and she feels alienated enough to go to Khalil. Anissa clashes with her father. And where Lynn sees human beings with a chance at living again, Dr. Jace sees disposable corpses. Thank goodness for Black Lightning and Thunder teaming up to thwart bombs. Otherwise, this would've been a real bleach-chugger of an episode. I mean, it's well done, and not as heavy handed as Supergirl this week, but it's still depressing. I mean, the series is supposed be about perseverance and overcoming struggle, but the Pierces seem to be in a deep hole. Edited October 31, 2018 by Lantern7 2 Link to comment

Trini October 31, 2018 Share October 31, 2018 (edited) Yeah, I don't know about possible redemption for Khalil, but I definitely don't want Jennifer to get back together with him. Didn't Lynn warn Jace that if she thought she was being harmful to the pod kids she'd 'bring the hammer down' (or whatever)? Lynn needs to make sure she doesn't do anything like that again. Oh, okay, I thought Fowdy was a corpse last week. I'm not sure why they dragged out her death, if all that came of it was her giving Gambi her phone. So the whole production with Tobias was so that he could be a public figure again? I mean, he still should be lying low, since he still looks a whole generation younger than his actual age. And how is he blaming Black Lightning for Syonide's death?? He knew it was Fowdy. Tuesday night parallel with The Flash: Spoiler Barry Allen's superpowered daughter also moved out of her parent's home after a fight! 4 hours ago, Lantern7 said: I don't know if the CW will get away with this episode. I agree it was kind of a downer episode, but it's gotta go up from here, right? This is all set up to see how our heroes will fix things... I'm hoping. Jediknight October 31, 2018 Share October 31, 2018 (edited) Bombs on The Flash, and bombs in Black Lightning, man, with everything that happened in the past week, this was a topical night on CW. Dr Jace, holy crap, she's kind of not that nice. Allison from Eureka is welcome back any time. 2 hours ago, Lantern7 said: I mean, it's well done, and not as heavy handed as Supergirl this week, I love Supergirl, but a monster truck is not as heavy handed and more subtle than Supergirl. thuganomics85 October 31, 2018 Share October 31, 2018 All of the scenes with the principal just made me tell myself that hopefully this is going to lead to him being confronted by Black Lightning for some reason, and proceeds to piss himself. Definitely a rough night for most everyone. Jefferson feels powerless at his job. Lynn is realizing just how insane Dr. Jace is. Anissa moves out, because she and Jefferson clash over her Robin Hood-like mentality. Jennifer finds out that her parents don't want her going back to Jefferson High, so she reaches back out to Khalil. Oh, and it turns out the reason Tobias let himself get arrested was because he had set it up so that there was no evidence anymore, so he is now a free man and a member of the communithy again. That bastard! I do hope we see more of Gambi and Anissa as roomies, because those two are always awesome together. If this is really it for Lowry, kind of a surprising, underwhelming way to go. There were several moments where I really thought a character was going to drop the F-bomb here, until I remembered this is on The CW. It really is quite unique for this network. Link to comment
HunterHunted October 31, 2018 Share October 31, 2018 (edited) Jennifer has always come across as a believable real teenager, but she's so damn obnoxious and self-centered. I half believe that the rest of her family is off fighting criminals and working with mad scientists because it's preferable to being around her. She has blown up a number of laptops. When her friend started talking badly about green light kids, Jennifer had a near melt down that could have killed her friend. She injured her mother. Of course she's not going back to school. She's the same impulsive selfish idiot who went to a party where she knew gang members would be. Edited November 2, 2018 by HunterHunted 3 Link to comment

Yeah maybe she was too much of a level headed real life teenager and they needed to gave her make some poor decisions and be selfish... How has the media not noticed Tobias looks the same he did 30 some odd years ago Link to comment

Also, I can't believe Fowdy died like that. No you are not the only one who remembers Khalil's treatment. I distinctly remember Jeff telling Jennifer something along the lines of he needs time to heal or maybe the shooting brought out the real Khalil. Based on his behavior, I felt it was more of the latter. I thought it was just vile the way he went after Jennifer. After everything that happened with the bullying of her and then the attack on the school that nearly got her father killed, I do not see why Jennifer would turn to him. However, it did not surprise me when she did as this seems to be her M.O. Dr. Jace is not right. She looked almost gleeful and bit crazed after tonight. I was hoping Lynn would follow through on her threat, but she did not. I do not see this ending well for Lynn. Fowdy is dead and I am disappointed. Tobias blames Black Lightning for Syonide why I have no idea. I am starting to think that all this loss has warped Tobias' thinking and he will from now on scapegoat Black Lightning for every bad thing that has gone wrong in his life. Why is not one questioning why he has not aged? No amount of genetics or healthy living can make a person look exactly the same for this long. Link to comment
tennisgurl November 3, 2018 Share November 3, 2018 Oh Jennifer, dont go back to Khalil! Yeah things suck now, but spending time around her ex, who is now sidekick to a supervillain who hates your family, is not the best way to deal with it! Wow, that was a depressing episode. Yeah, they managed to stop some bombs from killing some people, but Tobias is walking free, the wormy principle is a worm ruining Jefferson's school, Lynn is working with a psycho who is now interested in some "possible" meta family, Annias robin hood hijinks are coming back on her, and pretty much everyone is pissed at everyone. But, on the plus side, Gambi and Annisa as roommates should be fun, AND we we had some great music at least. We want the funk, gotta have that funk... 2 Link to comment

terxav November 7, 2018 Share November 7, 2018 Lynn better watch her bach, Dr, Jace may be unhinged but she is still brilliant. Anissa, i thought she had her own place in season one. And what about her teaching at the high school? Why is Khalil allowed to walk around with his venom bracelots. Jefferson needs to get a lawyer ASAP, the school board is not going to listen to him. His authority at the school went from absolute to 0. I am not saying actually sue them, but make them think it is a possibility. And/or have the Garfield students speak out in the actual and social media. Okay now to another Lean on Me call back. Princil Clark introduced his head of security, the guy never spoke but was Principal Clark’s ‘Avenging Angel’ Principal Lowery has a Security guard who is not formerly introduced but we see him standing in his white uniform. Jefferson goes into conflict himself, he does not get overly physical, but he is also not afraid of the students. Gambi, lol , I like him in the store, in the lab, in the van or in an overwatch.- fieldwork is not his strong suit, he is the man behind the man. Oh left over from last episode: Run Grace ?♀️, from mac Momma Anissa. Link to comment
