 Well from Jay's video it sure looks like there is low participation this year. The right side looked half empty.

And also:are they doing the national anthem each day? We got a picture from finals (at solos) and now the vid from prelims? Seems like overkill to me but might be normal in the US?

Here we go with the "God's plan" nonsense.  Somehow I don't think Jesus gives two shits who makes the DCC.  If he does, I might suggest he rethink his priorities.

I'm sure a lot of the girls are on here reading and maybe even posting. Heck, I've seen this board mentioned in Reddit before, and we know the DCC organization knows about it, even Google turns it up

I hate to say this and will probably burn in hell for doing so, but so far from what I've seen, I'm seriously underwhelmed.  Maybe it's because it's my first time watching from this vantage point.  I normally just see the finished, aired product.

Why do they have the weather guy from a local television as a judge? Melissa the Mentor looks good with her short hair, but I wish they would replace her as a mentor. Hopefully they will follow last season and not have her on the show much.

Whoops!  My mistake.  Even after I'd posted days/times in an earlier post, I still messed up.  Still, FRIDAY night is going to take forever to get here and then forever to finish so we know what's going on with the vets/potential vets.

I thought Emily was a cheerleader for another NFL team. I was not impressed with her when she tried out a few years ago, and I could not understand why she was brought into TC in the first place.

I agree about the long wait next week. Going to be interesting to see if all the vets make it back.

Yes she is a marine wife. Her husband just came home from a very long deployment a month or so ago

She auditioned for the Chargers but didn't make it. I honestly still don't think she has the look.

I wonder if the fact she was cut and didn't choose to leave on her own may hurt her chances. In a "Oh so we are a second choice since you didn't make your first choice team. And why exactly were you cut again?" Type way. I hope she really does get a fair chance.

I think there is less coverage. I miss the old DCC website where articles, pictures and videos were posted on an almost daily basis. The page is so boring now. I think Shannon is suppose to be handling the website and DCC media coverage, but I do not think he is doing a good job of it.

Btw, I would love to see a contest where at least two fans could be a judge at finals. I do not think the fans thoughts on the finalists would have influence who does or does not make it into TC much, but I still would love to see fans have more of a say so. I probably would get into too much trouble for speaking my mind when it comes to hearing the reasons why finalists and vets do or do not make it into TC.

I heard that If you don’t have the look the director is going for that year your gone!! She don’t care if your a 4 year vet

If I'm counting correctly there's five row of chairs on the left side (our left facing the picture).  Since there's been only two "groups" of chairs (one on each side of the aisle), it would be interesting to know how many girls there are per row.  I seem to remember they seem to have 5 girls per row in previous auditions so, two groups of 25 girls would mean only 50 girls showed up for auditions.  If we expanded it to 6 girls, that would make 60 girls, or 7 girls per row, that would be 70 girls.  Not the hundreds of girls they say showed up for auditions.  I would suspect they mean hundreds SIGNED UP to audition, but these were the only girls who actually SHOWED UP to do so.  TPTB should give up the actual number of people who showed up, not the number of people who signed up.  Heck, if this group of potential DCC is overall weak, even little ol' me who hasn't danced in years, isn't super flexible or super thin, might actually have a chance next year.  That is, if I actually put the work in to get my body back in shape and work on my flexibility issues between now and next year.  As it is, I'm focusing on the 10k I'm attempting to run tomorrow.  If I survive that, I might survive auditions.

As for that picture, #65 could lose a few pounds and tone up, but is GAWJUS up close.  LOL.  I totally heard Miss Jay (Alexander) in my head when I typed that.

I wonder if that's what happened to Kelly Sherwood, she was cut auditioning for her 3rd season. At least she made the MDC.

Thanks for pointing that out.  Still, even if they had equal (or near equal) numbers on each side, there doesn't seem to be more than 140 or so.  Nowhere near the "hundreds" they claim keep auditioning every year.

Agreed!! I remember a similar conversation last year. Yet, the board still had numbers up to almost 500. Some people were speculating that they skipped numbers just to make it seem like they had more girls auditioning than they really did
