I know the show is running thin on cops but I rather JJ return to being an EMT. It's a job on soaps that's rarely utilized yet there are so many stories you can write for it.

I wholeheartedly agree. I really liked that profession on JJ, too. He gets to round out the staff in the hospital scenes, and pop up whenever there's chaos around town (which is often).

Plus, didn't he quit the force after accidentally shooting Theo and hating the idea of hurting anyone else? Does he plan to not carry a gun now?

Yep, and that was after JJ almost committed suicide for what he did to Theo and Gabi talked him down from the ledge.

I like this direction the Chad/Julie relationship has taken they have reversed roles of sorts here. Plus it's one of the few stories on this show that doesn't come across as cartoonish.

I wonder when Sami is returning. Based on the trailer for 2025, Carrie and Will are likely returning for John's memorial (I guess? Even though they're not wearing black?) so maybe its then. I wonder how hard his passing will hit her, given her early dislike of him.

I wonder if she'll get to comment on the karma of Nicole suffering through what she once put Sami through, ie, the dead baby/switched baby Sydney/Sloan stuff. Nic isn't on the canvas anymore, but still...Sami should have something to say about it. It wouldn't be right for her not to have some comments about that.

I'm also wondering how the Ejami rape gets revealed to Johnny. Roman seems to spill the beans, but what prompts him to even go there?

I'm sure Sami will have plenty to say about Belle boinking her beloved Ex Hubby, but will that betrayal with her sister be the final nail in the Ejami coffin, at long last, or just a tease to restart them as Endgame all over again (dear lord no!)

And will she and Lucas finally sort things out? (Dear lord yes!)

Hurrucane Sami can be annoying when she pops up to cause trouble, but this time  there's easily a full month of emotional stuff for Sami to deal with.

....and is Bo going to return to the living only after the death of John? Cripes. Talk about an awkward comeback.

I'm pretty sure that if Peter is sticking around for a bit this time, it's only because the money that would have been allocated to Drake suddenly became available :(

I guess I have to admit that I'm more excited to see Sami again than Bo. Huh.

I think we're going to see that in the spring there was a scene with Hope wearing read talking to Julie on the couch about Bo and we haven't seen that air yet so.

Sami should be April, she came back before Ron was fired. Hope and Julie must be May because they were after. I think there were a lot of returns for John's funeral.

I'm just doing time at this point. I only watched Wednesday last week to see EJ and Belle and because Leo wasn't on. The week before I only watched Tuesday to see Philip and Xander.  I have zero interest in:

1. Body and Soul anything. It has been going on since August. 6 months of crap.

2. Arnold, Jada, Rafe anything. One Rafe is awful enough. Now there are two.

3. Alex and Stephanie. They were boring the first round. They were obnoxious the second round. Now they are just kind of sleazy. Poor Joy.

4. Johnny and Chanel. Unless they are going to adopt Sophia's baby. That could be a good plot twist.

5. Ava tied up. She has exactly no relationship with Brady, and this whole thing is dumb as she would not ditch her business to move to Hong Kong in one night. Even Brady isn't stupid enough to buy that, surely? And I am so sick of Rachel and Kristen dictating who he can date by way of their psychotic behaviour.

6. JJ and Gabi who hopped into bed so fast that I have zero investment in them as a couple, and I assume Stefan will rear his head once they get serious.

7. Leo and Javi. Javi was on more than any other actor in January. Leo felt like he was on more than anybody else. I can't stand him Mary Sueing his way through town. His friendship with Marlena is ludicrous and offensive. She has long term friends in Abe, Kayla, Steve, Kate and Roman....but Leo is the ONLY person she can talk to?

I do like:

1. Holly and Doug3 because they are giving it time to breathe.

2. Sophia and Tate. I hope the recast is as good as Madelyn.

3. Philip and Xander. Interesting to see them bond as brothers before it crashes down.

4. Cat and Chad. They are never on but I like her much better as herself now she is not trying to be Abby. There is promise there if it is ever given screentime.

5. Steve and Kayla. I'd rather see them given a big story over Bo and Hope who only return for short arcs for anniversaries and then vanish again. These two are in town, and are terrific together, yet are so rarely seen. He spent Christmas with Ava, his rapist, ffs.

6. Belle and EJ. They really work well together. But it is hard to invest because you know the show will insist of dragging her back to her boring thing with Shawn. In which case I would LOVE to see EJ and Melinda. She is wonderful and yet never seen.

7. Maggie and Julie when they connect. The history between them is special and who knows how long we will have these two actresses to cherish? They are the same age as my parents and I am well aware of how fast time is ticking down there.
