OMG a Gilbert Gottfried cameo! Must have been done before he died. Glad they dedicated the episode to him. Oh how I miss him 😭😭😭😭

I was going to say that I wish the Meg story had the payoff of Meg finally chucking the ball at Peter’s face, but she did finally get to tell him off. Yes it was so the heckling could help her win the game, but a win is a win.

Stewie going Split because he saw Peter and Lois doing it was pretty funny.

To be fair, french bread pizza is fantastic. My fave restaurant lets you choose a wide variety of toppings.

I could never nap in preschool. I'm just not a nap person.

I liked how Stewie's conspiracy theories were all baby things.

The championship game was tied at 10.

These were both solid plots.

I also applaud the show for the correct grammar of 'an historic'. Even if Quagmire is ordering a steak at Applebees.

"White Meg Can't Jump". Meg joins the Adam West High School basketball team, and her play is fueled by Peter's lambasting from the crowd. Meanwhile, Stewie goes down a rabbit hole of conspiracies, which ultimately ends with him developing multiple personalities.

Not a great ep, but I did enjoy the women's basketball jokes. Wait, Gilbert Godfried died?

"Adoptation". Carter adopts a young orphan to restore his public image, drawing jealousy from Lois.

Wow, even zoo animals hate Brian's book!

So we got an Oscars slap joke. On the day of this year's Oscars. Meh.

I must have missed that part. 🤔

It was when Peter was saying about going to the zoo to bring Chris back. He said it to Lois, and then offscreen to Meg and Chris. When he got to Chris, Peter got slapped and Chris said the line. Peter said, "it was just a zoo joke."

And Chris yelling obscenities about keeping his name outta his mouth . . .

Two episodes tonight!

The Bird Reich

Brian self-publishes a book and, of course, it was lousy. But, like all writers (and dogs), he craves external validation.

Gonzo the old parrot was fun. And of course it turns out he was Hitler's bird. And turns out it was Jewish the whole time. That was convenient. Of course he's flushed down the toilet.

A Bottle Episode

Yeah, tourist areas in the off season are so sad. I'm honestly shocked they were there for only a few minutes.

I love saltwater taffy, I would've bought as much as I could from Brian & Stewie. I'm surprised it took the show this long to do a classic door to door salesman plot with them.

That was a big shampoo bottle. Never underestimate the power of Lois's pettiness and how far she's willing to go for revenge.

That was the biggest laugh of the hour for me.

"The Bird Reich". Peter tries to take advantage of a work policy granting leave in the event of a pet's death by adopting a bird that once belonged to Hitler. Stewie causes Brian to give up writing.

Of course, the parrot was Hitler's bird but really was a Jew pretending to be a Nazi.

"A Bottle Episode". Lois is blocked from a vacation rental app and accused of stealing. Stewie and Brian try to sell saltwater taffy door to door.

Wow. I always felt that way about Air B&B.

Chasing My Tale is totally a Brian book. Peter trying to kill Brian is really low even for him.

Hitler's bird is really nothing I would have thought ever in my life. I can't believe the show never did this before. And then he choked.

The writers ripping on themselves at the end was hilarious. I knew who they were!

They certainly got the Cape right. Taffy everywhere. Come on though, Lois, you knew not to take the shampoo.

Chew Anon. Brilliant.

Julius Sharpe was big on twitter during the Trump years, but man, yeah, that was a definitely a good rip on themselves.

Every successful heist needs Smash Mouth's "Walking on The Sun."

Maybe if you don't complain about being left out of the show, maybe you'll be in more episodes, Chris.

Also, everyone died of Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

I don't like songs that name places. I do like the German plungers.

Danny Ocean didn't play smash mouth!

I always like Bortus showing up.

This episode had a lot a biting lines. Black Savior Trope; Gavin Newsome. All of Chris going off on Stewie.

"Vat Man and Rob 'Em". When Peter gets a job as the new night watchman, he and the guys turn Pawtucket Brewery into an after-hours bar. Stewie and Brian's plan to collect "lost dog" return money backfires when Brian is used for a dangerous TikTok stunt.

I liked the premises for the stories, but they ran out of steam and seemed familiar.

As someone else with middle school baggage, I ought to have been more sympathetic to Lois, but after the way she’s treated Meg even though she’s had a miserable time in school, she kind of deserved it.

Brian still hasn’t learned his lesson about social media.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure Meg will be back from Russia next week.

Man, that ASPCA commercial with "Wang Chung" was great, and then the dark callback with Lois's panic attack.

Meg is a Russian 8. Of course. So is she really gone from the show?

I liked the quick callback to the snapping of the newspaper with Chris. Not as good as the Wang Chung flashback.

I don't think we get much too often into Lois' past. I did feel bad for her when she had the panic attack.

When has *Meg* gone on an adventure?

"From Russia With Love". Meg takes Stewie and Brian to Russia, only to realize she'd rather stay there. Meanwhile, Lois reverts to her tormented teenage self when Quagmire starts dating her high school bully.

Good one! I wonder if Meg will be away for awhile? Felt bad for Lois, but OTOH, she can be pretty nasty to other people. I'm not sure I buy her classmate's side of the story, but whatever.

Meg actually stayed in Russia! I guess she's heading home, since it turned out that the marriage was also a scam.

And that means Chris gets a plot. Taking after Brian and being a pro at making porn.

Take that, Steve Martin. He likes playing that banjo.

"Adult Education". Meg gets married in Russia but returns home after learning that she was used for a green card marriage.

Good ep, but, Lois, you made porn movies when you were younger!

I was also surprised they continued the plot with Meg. The song was great. I have T-Mobile!

I was hoping the picture of Peter in the yearbook was from way back when in he was undercover at school.

Wow that lacrosse joke.

Ok, Lois, dial it down with the pearl clutching.

So Rachel McFarlane was singing Meg’s song, right? That sure wasn’t Mika. Nevertheless, I did love the parody.

Perfect pop opprtunity to call out Lois’s porn star past that was squandered. Oh well.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It totally sounded like Rachel.

That was absolutely Rachel.  Mila has made it clear she doesn’t sing, no matter what Seth writes.

In honor of Paul Reubens/Pee-Wee Herman, here’s one of my favorite (pre-cancellation) moments on the show:

Seth did a pretty good Pee-Wee. And Brian’s deadpan “Mecca Lecca Hi Mecca Hiney—God, I hate you so much” is perfection.

"Fertilized Megg".  Meg agrees to be Bruce and Jeffery's surrogate, but when the couple fails to pick up the baby, the Griffins must take care of their new family member.

This was pretty good and something different. I laughed a bit too much at "Boy I Love Fentanyl!".

Me neither but it was nice to have a Meg episode where she doesn’t get crapped on.

I mean, becoming a surrogate mother and the baby daddies ghosting her when the baby was born was pretty bad.

I work in supermarkets, and yes, telling people an aisle number so they'd leave you alone while you disappear into the produce mist works every time.

I wasn't really feeling the Brian/Joe plot until the true crime creators all converged and fought each other. I'm upset they didn't actually get Keith Morrison. I caught Josh Robert Thompson in the credits, that had to be who voiced him. It's very similar to his Morgan Freeman.

"Supermarket Pete". With the brewery under construction, Lois implores Peter to take a new job, but grows irate when he begins to work at the grocery store. Meanwhile, armed with his police stories, Joe and Brian team up to write their own true crime novel.

I had a sense of deja vu with Lois's plot (don't mess with her "groceries"!) but enjoyed it. It was different to see Brian and Joe doing something together but lost interest with the battlin' true crime personalities.
