I definitely can see individual instances where he showed care for Lupe, but overall, he was just so limited - he didn't understand how or want to support her fully, he made excuses. I felt like he wasn't a fully realized emotional person who could even understand anything outside of his own selfish needs, and less so that he was intentionally malicious (like Zsalynn's husband). 9 Link to comment
