thewhiteowl March 19, 2017 Share March 19, 2017 Quote While on a mission to repair a turbine at a wind farm, Team Scorpion must race to save Paige and Happy before the cable holding the gondola they are in snaps and sends them plummeting to the ground. Link to comment
Artsda March 21, 2017 Share March 21, 2017 The entire CGI turbine plot - no comment. Of course when Paige came up with the pyramid idea it was obvious it was done with her cheerleader knowledge to point out to Happy. Why unemotional Walter would be running around trying to win being best man seems unlike him. Happy's raccoon analogy didn't work. Who misses a raccoon going through your garbage? 1 Link to comment

I think it's like the chess game. Walter is competetive and wants to win. It will be fun to see silly weddiing subplots this season. I'm also interested to see how the big wedding doesn't happen and instead ends up being the team in the garage, or some crazy location due to a mission. 1 Link to comment
Driad March 21, 2017 Share March 21, 2017 Painful flashbacks of the "Castle" wedding season. I would have bet the rent that none of the three guys would be best man. The gun store scene reminded me of a story that someone who didn't speak Japanese was in Japan and needed help. A local fellow was there and it turned out they had a language in common: Klingon. 3 Link to comment

We had a family of raccoons move into the ceiling in our garage and start going through our garbage. Of course we had to get rid of them but we kind of miss their cute little faces staring out at us. theatremouse March 21, 2017 Share March 21, 2017 Yeah, I'm also on the bus who thinks Walter should've been standing around spouting how preposterous the notion of a Best Man is, etc blah something about ritual and weddings and it being stupid. Although I do like the angle that he wants to win. Does none of their process involve a risk registry? Seriously? Or they just figure since they can calculate odds in seconds, and how long something will take them to do down to the second, they just don't bother? I'm getting hard core sick of these episodes being straight up: Arrive at project site Smile and say how awesome you will be at doing the thing Walter says something socially akward to the client Something breaks and one or more of them will die Toby/Walter/Sly shout how many seconds/minutes they have til death They fix it More counting down Something else breaks New countdown They fix it with 2 seconds to go and no one dies. For a second at the end I thought Toby was going to say Ralph would be his best man, not Paige, so I guess I give them half a point for not being predictable there? 1 Link to comment

HawaiiTVGuy March 22, 2017 Share March 22, 2017 Count me in as someone who thought Ralph was going to be picked as Best Man. I think Paige was being kind of whiny about the whole wedding thing, just leave Happy alone, if she doesn't want a wedding party then let it go, it has NOTHING to do with whether or not she thinks of you as a friend little Miss Needy. raven March 23, 2017 Share March 23, 2017 The gondola breaking and swinging was funny, the effects were so bad. Any shot where they're supposed to be hanging in the air is so phony looking, but it made me laugh. Paige's attitude towards Happy was strange - Paige is supposed to be understanding and guide the others, she should have accepted what Happy's feelings were instead of going on an on about them being friends. I'm with Happy that they are friends-ish - they never hang out, we don't seem them talking often - just, be quiet about it, Paige. Paige generally doesn't bother me but why was she suddenly so insecure? It was just weird. Happy looked like she wanted to jump from the gondola. Maybe the show didn't want Paige to seem all-understanding? I know I'm giving this too much thought. I thought Walter so obsessed about the best man because he's competitive. I wasn't expecting Toby to ask Paige, either. Happy having "dudes of honor" was cute and I liked her pointing out to Cabe that Sly wanted to be his friend. Extra-ridiculous episode. 1 Link to comment

Do you think Ralph would've been willing to ask for help? Ralph has asked the team before for help. 9 hours ago, MortysCleaningLady said: As soon as the Best Man contest became the subplot, I was rooting for no-drama Ralph! It didn't occur to me that Ralph was even an option. He's one of my favorite characters, so it's good to know I'm not the only one who's a fan. 1 hour ago, raven said: I thought Walter so obsessed about the best man because he's competitive. I agree with you about why Walter wanted to be best man. I thought Toby was going to split up the best man tasks among the three of them. As much as Cabe's a friend, he's also a surrogate father. So this was the last episode I've seen, the rest are still unwatched on my DVR. I'm starting to get tired of this show for this exact reason. Its the same generic plot over and over. I'll probably sit through the rest of this season's shows over the summer, but i'm not sure i'll be back next season. Link to comment

The two part season finale was so, so Saturday Morning Cartoon-y - and it was entertaining in a Scorpion way. Link to comment
