mstaken July 7, 2014 Author Share July 7, 2014 I totally see why Concertus isn't an all-time favorite, but I have a weird soft spot for it :) They go way over the top with Luke's reaction to Lorelai wearing Rachel's clothes, but I adore the Paris/Rory parts beyond the telling of it, and I love how this is one of the sadly few S1 episodes where we see that Lorelai can be a kickass, surprisingly mature and responsible mom when she needs to be. 1 Link to comment

My favorite scene was when Lorelai made a snack for Paris and her gang -- a plate of Pop Tarts fanned in a circle, into the center of which she then plopped a big Red Delicious apple. mstaken July 14, 2014 Author Share July 14, 2014 I have a similar reaction to both 'First Day...' episodes :) They both have some annoying, repetitive, over the top, OMG-stop-we-GET-it contrivances that irk me when I rewatch, but yet I'm just so emotionally attached to these episodes anyway and have rewatched them a seriously ridiculous number of times! 1 Link to comment
