Oh check it out. Frostbite. That's a perfectly legitimate super name without the connotations of "Killer Frost." Maybe all Caitlin needs is a new nickname. If it's not taken, I say just nix the "killer" part, and go with Frost. ::shrug:: 1 Link to comment
waving feather February 12, 2017 Share February 12, 2017 Harry is also my favorite Wells, he had a great dynamic with Barry and Cisco. I would say HR is the only Wells who has not emotionally connected with Barry. I have always liked Eobard Tharwne too, both the original version and the Wells impersonation. Eobard was a great mentor to Barry, Caitlin and Cisco. Tom is doing such a great job with Julian's character that I want him to be in Team Flash forever. And ever. The acting of dying Iris wasn't strong enough for me, so it took me out of the scene a little. Candice P. can be a hit or miss for me. I think they are dropping anvils of Joe being the one who will die, instead of Iris. I got a weird vibe towards the end of the episode when Joe asked Barry, "Savitar's prophecy of someone dying, was it Iris?" because it was an unnecessary question and scene. Haven't they established that? Barry, Iris and Wally losing all of their parents in a short period of time would be terrible, though. Link to comment

Agreed. He's really selling Julian's ongoing discomfort in trying to work with people whom he actively hated (especially Barry) and tried to destroy not that long ago (and yes, he's also still dealing with his guilt over everything he did as Alchemy). I also love that Caitlin is the only one who can call him out on his prickly personality and get away with it. I'd really like to see more backstory on how and why Julian ended up working with Barry in the first place, since Barry didn't remember anything about him after returning from undoing Flashpoint. 4 Link to comment
catrice2 February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 It would be a mistake to get rid of Joe, but this show has made many mistakes. Joe is already dead on Earth 2 right? Let someone else bite the bullet. I personally am tired of HR, Harry, Edward, Wells, or any version of Tom C . I know people LOVE him, but he has not done it for me in any form. I will say, however, I liked him the first season, but not enough for him to to keep coming back. Now if they had just kept him around as the bad guy maybe, but I honestly think the show works better when they have a "bad guy of the week. Link to comment
Ottis February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 OMG, more butt hurt. Joe because no one told him. Wally because he didn't stop Black Orchid. Half of every episode is people whining. Black Orchid makes no sense. Some of the things he touched were inanimate and not natural. They don't age, or they age so slowly the timeframe would be skewed. His power is more logically about speeding up time in a localized area, which creates the appearance of aging. Which, you know, would come in handy to beat Savitar. Link to comment

I believe the only way for the show to keep Tom Cavanaugh, was to agree to let him play a different character each season. Hence the different Harrys. But yeah, I'm not a fan of HR, and I don't think he's such a great thespian that the show had to agree to this condition in order for them to have him on the show. And totally agree show is better with villain of the week. Or anything that doesn't have a season long arc of one Villain. I already went through that nonsense which were HUGE FAILS with Smallville in its last three seasons. Though this show did a good job with the whole Reverse Flash; but it also had Barry dealing with his new powers. They balanced each other out. 1 Link to comment
GHScorpiosRule February 14, 2017 Share February 14, 2017 Finally watching and only halfway through, but I have one takeaway: Wally is a tool. Cecile's daughter is a twerp, but Wally trying to force Joe to tell which Flash is better/his preferred one, with the assumption that he wanted Joe to choose him over Barry, was nothing short of someone who is insecure, jealous and wants his dad to choose him because they are bio father and son. ??? At this point, I want this iteration of Wally off my screen. He's ruining what enjoyment I have for this show. Ask me? Based on what I've seen? I choose BARRY/FLASH. 1 Link to comment

Wally will take over the mantle while he's gone, and then they get him back in the Season 4 premiere, obviously. Although I'd prefer a happy ending finale this time, rather than another cliffhanger. I think both season finale cliffhangers have led to not totally successful premieres that have to figure out how to address the finale issue before getting back into the regular season. The season 2 premiere was all over in the place with forced flashbacks to address the singularity, along with Ronnie's death, and Henry getting released from prison and then immediately sent away. Then the Flashpoint premiere did Flashpoint in a way that didn't seem to satisfy people who were fans of the actual FP comics story, but also was frustrating for show fans who didn't like the way it permanently changed stuff from before. So, yeah. Not too sure about these cliffhanger season finales. Might be better to go with a happy ending this time, but I doubt it happens. What if Iris saves herself, with help from the least obvious person....HR? I've wondered since he first showed up what his purpose really is. There has to be more to him than what they've shown. Iris is a smart girl. She'll want to do something to protect herself if everything else fails. And if something like that plays out, I don't mind if it's a cliffhanger. The cliffhanger being everyone thinks she died. 2 Link to comment

That was honestly the dopest stunt he's pulled ALL season and he did it without Team Flash needing to tell him or hint for him to do that. So, apparently this is a show about a superhero? Or something. I didn't realise that till this episode. I do not understand why they insist on making the smartest superhero the dumbest. He makes even Oliver Queen look like a frigging Mensa candidate most of the time. I agree with you: he was awesome in this. More of that! 2 Link to comment

Never could, from day one. For starters, the actor is AWFUL. I've seen better actors in high school plays. Second, Wally/Kid Flash is a total douche. I suppose we're expected to chalk it up to his youth and naivete but I'm not feeling charitable. I don't like the way he treats Barry as if he's yesterday's news and focused on nothing but his own awesomeness. He is the worst thing this season. 1 Link to comment
millennium March 15, 2017 Share March 15, 2017 Wally's the illegal alien of superheroes. He didn't come by his powers through fate or by honing his skills. He took a shortcut. He gained his powers by seeking aid from a criminal and enemy of the Flash -- Alchemy. Wally flaunts those powers as if they're an accomplishment, something he earned, when in fact they are the result of betraying all the people he cares for and profiteering from the actions of a being who caused the death of others (by creating metas who went out and killed). 1 Link to comment
HunterHunted March 16, 2017 Share March 16, 2017 Why don't they start advertising Star Labs as a special forensic laboratory for law enforcement? They have all of the equipment that the police never seem to have. Technically to convict any of these criminals they'd need to document what types of testing they did and demonstrate how they didn't break the chain of evidence. It would be a good cover for why Barry and Julian would always be there. Additionally, it brings in some income. 1 Link to comment

I think I've already made that suggestion in the Wishlist thread -- it makes perfect sense. They already did it a few times with Cisco making devices for CCPD; I don't know why they just don't make it official. Then we'd see Barry doing more of his actual job maybe; and then we could have more characters and scenes outside the STAR Labs sets. 3 Link to comment

It's never made sense to me why Barry was the ONLY CSI, and then joined by Julian for the ENTIRE police force. In my TV series and even the movies (toons), there was a whole team. I recall in "Flash and Substance," how after Wally finished analyzing some shoe, he said bye to at least five others before being beamed up to the Watchtower, where he basically begged Bats to attend " Flash Appreciation Day" with a scowling Orion standing nearby in JLU. 1 Link to comment

I don't know if anyone will see this, but I just discovered that, in the comic where Iris died (Flash #275, July 1979), the "red herring" villain that Barry saw standing over her body was... Clive Yorkin, the guy introduced in this episode! 3 Link to comment
