For anyone interested in seeing a selective view of the inside of Craig Melvin’s house, there’s an article about him in the Real Estate section of this weekend's NY Times (paywalled). He has a restaurant booth in the basement where the family eats Sunday dinner.

So yesterday my kid was home from school on a snow day and we were watching Jenna and she was quiet for a bit then turns to me and goes “I miss Hoda”.  Ha!  She doesn’t even watch the show very often.  I feel bad because I do like Jenna, she’s a good sport and does not take herself too seriously.  But the energy is definitely different now.  Savannah and Craig are ok.  Hoda’s absence is definitely felt.

Today on Jenna and Friends, they had a segment called Jenna's Bookshop, where she brought out what I thought would be deals for the viewers. One of Jenna's picks was pajamas that cost $128-$148! 

And then she says, "That may seem expensive, but guess what?!? We get 25 percent off with the code."  Maybe it's just me, but I don't know anybody who would spend that much money on one pair of pajamas.

 

Also, earlier on the Today show they were talking about the White Lotus that was filmed in Thailand  and how some of the cast went to see the pygmy hippo, Moo Dang.  Jenna had the audacity to say, "Let's take a field trip there."  Al thankfully said, "Yeah, they're gonna pay for THAT."

Why is she always asking for free things/trips?  It's embarrassing. She can afford to take herself (and her family) anywhere in the world.

I haven’t watched the 4th hour of Today since Hoda left. I could barely take Jenna when Hoda hosted but there is no way I could take her as the main host. I am curious when they do finally do name a co-host will it be within the NBC family or not. I thought it might be Shenelle eventually but she’s out for now dealing with family issues. I’m not sure what the timeline is though with finding a permanent co-host. I always liked when Willie Geist would fill in but he would take the gig full time?

I think they will fill the chair next to Jenna with someone in-house(an NBC person, maybe not from the news area(as much as I love Willie Geist), but from their entertainment area.  Celebrities are fun to have as Co-hosts once in awhile but no Celebrity is going to leave their gig of acting or singing to be a morning person.

I totally agree. It’s like when Kelly Ripa did her show with celebrity guest host until they settled on Michael Strahan. In retrospect, they should have looked longer. LOL!!!

Fuuny enough that I mentioned Willie and here’s he’s co-hosting tomorrow with Jenna. I agree the new host it will be in house or in house adjacent. I think it would Shenelle but who knows how long she’ll be gone or what the exact family issue is. I still like Dylan but she hardly ever filled in for the 4th hour when she could. I’m sure the girl with the long dark hair (whose name escapes me) is chomping at the bit for the gif but she’s just not well known enough….I think. As long as it’s not St. Maria Shriver I’m fine with whomever they pick. LOL!!!!
