That's funny how perspectives differ. In my opinion Jinelle is one of the least photogenic. I would not choose her for the cover.

Same here. Not to be mean, but to me she is by far the least attractive of all.

I think Erica is one of the most beautiful on the team. She's my choice for cover, definitely.

Bingo! I knew I'd seen that suit before. I appreciate your dedicating 10 minutes to the cause :-)

 

I am not a fan of that suit. Something about the lacing looks poorly made. But somebody must like it if they're using it again. Do they use all the same suits every year? I guess that wouldn't surprise me. We all know how they are about rehashing...er... I mean "tradition"!

Danielle was more of a girl next door look, like Lauren W was. I wonder if they hope it'll be more of a glam DCC, like a Samantha or Emma.  I could definitely see Erica getting it...she is so popular and very beautiful/photogenic. Out of the rookies, I think Amy T has a good chance.  She gets blasted here for her lower half but if guys do actually vote, it could def be her! Jenna to me though also is a possibility. She is so popular and obviously gorgeous.   

 

I don't see Jinelle either, even tho her body is one of the best. I think she is stunning (there are some gorgeous pics of her out there!!) but not really as photogenic as some of the others.

On the DCC facebook page there is a video of behind the scenes for their music video (?? not sure what that is) and it's Claire, Amy T and Simone. All three of them look fantastic! Simone is not as ripped as some but she looks really trim in the clip, not heavy or soft.  Amy T doesn't even look as bottom heavy as she does sometimes.  I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

On the DCC facebook page there is a video of behind the scenes for their music video (?? not sure what that is) and it's Claire, Amy T and Simone. All three of them look fantastic! Simone is not as ripped as some but she looks really trim in the clip, not heavy or soft. Amy T doesn't even look as bottom heavy as she does sometimes. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

They all look great. So funny seeing the cameraman doing his own "choreography" since all we ever think about is what the cheerleaders are doing. Interesting to see the filming from that point-of-view.

Jinelle is not a cover girl.  She just doesn't have a great face -- I bet Amy, Erica or Kashara will be the cover girl.

 

I agree..either of the Amy's.

I don't see why not. I don't think tenure has anything to do with it. Samantha got cover and she only cheered for 2 seasons..which means she only went on 1 calendar shoot.

If Calia is actually is trouble, it is ridiculous of them to keep featuring her in shots.

I don't necessarily think she is in trouble - I think she looks big compared to shorter girls -- kind of like Brooke Nix did. But if the DCC thinks she it is just dumb messaging to keep featuring her during this shoot in their social media accounts. It's one thing for the girls to post pictures, it is another for the DCC account to do it. Why feature people you think look bad?

She looks like she's at the early stages of body building..... That thickness. It's so odd. She looked fit before. It will be interesting to see. I just can't see that looking good in that uniform. I don't think Brooke nix looked big like calia at all.

It's on the DCC IG, that picture referenced just recently. 

 

I do think she looks bigger than LAST year at this time.  But too big to stay on squad? I don't know...like DCCFan126 said, why would Kelli of all people keep featuring her if she's like omg, we may have to cut her.  That's just weird to me.  I'd think they'd be trying to feature her less or not at all. 

 

Then again, Breelan was in the video they did last year where they walked through town in boots and bikinis (so was Jasmine) and she didn't make it back.

But that's the thing - in the uniform I think she looks fine. Amy L posted a clip on her IG of the girls performing at an orphanage and Caila is right smack in the middle of the shot and I don't think she looks different than she did cheering during the year...

I really like her and think she's gorgeous, but I think she's gonna be in trouble :(.

 

Wow chica is thick!  How tall is she?  She seems to have a lot of presence and tower over many of the girls.  She really does have the Amazon thing going on - very strong and athletic but not very DCC friendly.

 

I dunno Kelli and Judy ... seems like you need to have a word with her.  I almost want to ask them if they can see / know that Caila is a tad thicker or if they think that she's DCC swimsuit material.  Seems like they've warned girls for much less!

Totally agree!  Even Kelli posted a pic of her at the outdoors shower (granted she was partially blocked and Kelli isn't the best photographer).  It's as if they either don't think or don't agree that Caila is a tad big and not "DCC" friendly.  Weird.  In some shots, she even looks borderline normal woman (gasp!)

Maybe they're okay with her body? It could possibly be because she's started a medication that she might be gaining a bit of weight but they know that she can work it off.

Totally could be this - maybe they remember the Megan Sharpe situation where she gained weight due to a medication.

I think Caila looks bigger thru the shoulders and side pecs, maybe upper arms, which makes her look larger. She looks more like a swimmer than out of shape, if that makes sense. All this will be covered in the uniform. I don't want to see her go.

Maybe they post them because they know men will like her figure - which I'm sure they do.

However, if the DCC were picked solely on what men liked, there would probably be A LOT more jiggling during the kickline ;).

I went on birth control and gained like 20 pounds but that's just me lol. I also probably gained another 20 switching to a different birth control, all this coupled with having a slow thyroid made the weight stay on. Caila is obviously still young so it's possible she went on something or switched birth controls and happened to have a bit of weight gain. 

 

Is she on meds?

I don't think any of us would know the answer but I assume she's probably at least on a birth control. That causes weight gain more than anything else.

I don't think begs answer publically (understandable), but it would be interesting to acknowledge how they handle periods - it's a juggle - lots of times you get the birth control shot that only gives 4 periods a year, or just skip the placebo pills from birth control pills for months, but both really can cause a lot of midsection puffing and bloating, besides messing with hormones.

Nobody wants to see a "normal woman" body in that uniform!

Regarding Caila.

 

First, Caila is a beautiful young woman.  Second, yes, she clearly has just a few more pounds on her for this swimsuit shoot than she did at this same time last year.  With a girl as tall and lean as Caila, just a few extra pounds are easily visible.

 

However, only just a few weeks ago Caila looked extremely fit and very energetic, and was dancing really well in those videos posted from Michelle Keys's Hip Hop/Cardio dance classes.   

 

Maybe Caila took a well-deserved break between those classes and the DCC trip to Mexico, so that she can gear up for this year's auditions when they return from the trip.  Or perhaps Caila experienced some life issue or discouragement, that temporarily dampened her motivation to watch what she eats and stay fit 24/7. 

 

Professionally, the DCC organization might prefer it if all of these young women were at their absolutely most-photogenic selves for this work trip to Mexico.  But that is what photoshop is for -- to smooth out the lines, hide the imperfections, tone up some parts, and slim down others.  Sometimes life interferes, and these ladies have really been at almost-impossibly perfect DCC standards for the last ten months. 

 

Caila still looks great, and the few (no more than five) pounds difference between perfect and not, can easily be lost through diet and exercise in the month before auditions.  Girl's got to eat normally sometime, even if it is for only one month a year.

 She made the squad for her 4th and final year. Wasn't she one of the 4 vets called in to the office (along with TCC Stephanie)? Actually I think everyone who was called in made it that year.

They kind of had to take all the vets when they took that Stephanie, cause that Stephanie was really big.

+1 to all of this. I think she will be fine.  As I mentioned before, I swear these stupid juice cleanses do more harm than good for some of the girls.  If she was hard core dieting than even eased up a little on the trip it could absolutely show.  I feel like I look worse when I'm super bloated and retaining water than when I actually gain fat lol that sounds weird, but true.  

 

I think that is why she surprised us - she has looked so fabulous these past couple of months in Michelle's class, really on her game.  Anyway, I'm #teamcaila and hope she kills it at auditions!

Stephanie is one I will never understand.  I wish they had shown her dancing more - she must have been spectacular!!! She really never lost weight and in clips they showed, wasn't anything special.  At least with Brooke you could see she was smaller by the end of TC.  

 

I will say Stephanie looks wonderful now, really fit and lean.

Has it been 10 days already? Doesn't seem like it. I'm also one that thinks Caila looks great, she looks better than I did at her age more toned and fit I was just skinny lol

I just looked at a couple, one only has 1g of sugar but another has like 16g so I guess it depends on what juice they get.

I think K&J are ok with it if it makes them money.  I would be surprised if Suja is doing this for free and if the girls are expected to tweet and instagram the heck out of it ... marketing at its best!  I wonder what they would say if I asked how much they get paid for the girls to promote xyz.  Fair though .. they are celebrities of Dallas and lots of young women / girls aspire to look or be them (guess).

 

Same as how they're ok with the girls strutting around in ridiculously tiny bikinis and heels and pulling down the bottoms for photo shoots ... bet they're not ok if the girls do it for free on their own time or on instagram.

Isn't Suja juice basically a bunch of sugar? How is nothing but carbs for a week supposed to help with weight loss? Those are supposed to accompany real meals, too.

 

my guess is they do a full juice cleanse .. no meals

And if they're not actually eating, I'm sure some of them are holding onto a little bit of weight since their bodies are freaking out. I honestly hope everyone makes it back and no one is cut for weight.

It's so odd to me they would do this freak out juice cleanse for calendar of all things -- of all the stuff they do, this is where any "imperfection" or "softness" can easily be rectified with some photoshop. It's painfully obvious they photoshop the pictures anyway.
