Side note:  I don't want to see Nicole in another stupid costume.  Hasn't she worn about 3 of them already?  She was a frog... she was that German Oktoberfest thing, and wasn't she something else?  If Meech and Zak are still around, I'd like to see one of them wear the costume but for different reasons.  Meech:  She vehemently stated that she doesn't want to wear a costume, especially if it's a unitard.  So, yes, I'd love to see her get that.  Zak:  It would take some tricky Houdini moves for Paulie to get inside of her unitard.  So, yes, that would be entertaining as well.  If both Meech and Zak are gone by then, my vote will go to Paul.  I oddly want to see him have to wear a stupid costume.  

Paulie's out of my equation because nobody is going to WILLINGLY give him safety and so I don't want to waste my votes.  Besides, we already saw his Dino the dinosaur brother Cody, and it would be more of the same as that.

James thinks his social game is so amazing - but who does he think would really take him to F2? Or F3 if Corey/Paulie keep their ladies? Or is he just going to win forever and ever? Corey has a Paulie/Nicole safety net he's trying to keep. Paulie has a Corey/Z/Paul/maybe James safety net he's trying to keep. If either of them lose the F4, F3, or F2 HOH or Veto, they're probably in a good spot anyway. James has...no one where he's third or fourth choice. And he's not really trying to change that.

I think James genuinely cares for Nat, but I also think he doesn't want to go down in BB history looking like another Clay, McCray or Austin -- foolish over a girl. Like Day said in her post-show interview when asked about the couples, "Be cute in September, but for now focus on the game."   It's got to be gnawing in the back of James' mind how Derrick told him not to get into a showmance.   He knows he's gotta make a move.

I've heard him say that he thought sticking with Meg was his biggest problem last year - that he shouldn't have tried to protect her so much and that was his downfall. So I'm assuming he thinks Natalie is his Meg and he's trying not to let it bring him down.

I don't actually think he's correct - his biggest problem is he's inflexible to a fault. He doesn't change his game plan based on the going ons in the House. Last year, he never wanted to work with "the other side," so he was stuck winning competitions until he got cut. This year, it's the same problem. He decided to stick with Meg last year and this year he decided to stick with Paulie - no compromises.

I think he really does too - when you see them together there seems to be a real emotional connection (as Day told him the other night). I certainly wouldn't go as far as calling him a shitbag but he's kind of playing his own game as well as trying to shield Nat as much as he can (which doesn't look like much, if I'm being honest). I still like James, but he does have a worrying tendency to want to bro down.

I believe that James really likes Natalie, but he's such a spineless, insecure loser that he is loyal to the bros over her anyway.
