Connor's crew was supposed to drop Camp Detrimental to the Remaining Gene Pool off on land and then return to base with the Abigail.   Connor's crew (and Alicia) don't know they retook the ship and are on the way to rescue Travis and Alicia so Alicia is assuming they were killed since there was no time to get to land then back to base.

I like Salazar.  He doesn't say much, but you can tell he is always thinking and trying to figure people out.  He probably thinks they're all idiots, but he is trying to figure out how they can be useful and if he can trust any of them.
