Morning Joe: All Episodes Talk

Right wing radio and God-rock stations have been proliferating in my vicinity over the past couple years.   Most annoying is the fact that the right wing stations (which used to be confined to AM) have made the leap to FM; in fact, this year one media company killed the rock format FM station I have been listening to for 35 years and replaced it with right-wing talk radio.

All this to explain that I was just running errands and flipping between rock stations on the FM band when I heard Mika's voice pouring out of my speakers.  Turns out my tuner had landed on one of those right wing stations and the hosts were discussing the Scarboroughs' appeasement.

I didn't listen long, just enough to hear one host say:

Joe Scarborough is the poster child for the towel boy who thinks he's the star quarterback.   The guy imagines he's a mover and shaker.  He's not.  He's a useful idiot for the Democrats and nothing more.

And I thought, He's not even that now.

I would imagine he's paying... what, $80,000 a month in alimony two his ex wives?  I guess that's the reason he's so happily shed any suggestion of integrity, that and a thirst for attention.  I wonder what can embarrass Joe?

This has to be doing wonders for Mika's KYV efforts.  She's the kind of feminist who negotiates with the patriarchy.  "Now now, ladies.  Let's hear what they have to say.  Things have gotten too divisive."  What a role model.

Agreed 100 %. I believe Joe's alimony payments stopped but he may still provide financial support for Jack. In the past, Joe bragged that he had both ex-wives sign Non-Disclosure agreements. He might be worried that the details in those agreements become public.

Details of the sexual encounters between  Trump's new Secretary of Defense & a lady have become public despite an NDA.

Well, it looks like Joe & Mika went down to Maralago over the weekend to kiss the ring.   Their comments this morning made me sick to my stomach.  I have been reading about it all over the internet.  I have been watching this show for close to 10 years but I honestly don't think I can watch it any longer.  Joe & Mika's capitulaton is the last straw!

Mika & Joe said they didn't want any video or pictures of the meeting with Trump on Friday.

Long-time viewers remember when the photos of Mika & Joe at Mar A Largo on NYE 2016 surfaced. It showed them celebrating with Trump which they denied. Joe had said they went to arrange an interview with Trump in January 2017. That interview never materialized

Wow, the amount of hate for Joe & Mika on their Twitter pages and on MSNBC's website right now is overwhelming.  If it's anything to go by, they just lost a ton of viewers by joining Trump.  His Mara-lago link is even now on both their Twitter sites. The way Mika has been carrying on about abortion & Roe vs. Wade for the past year was all garbage.  Yeah, she knows her value.  Kissing up to Trump.  I'm curious to see how many of her cohorts at KYV will continue to align with her or dump her ass for being a traitor.  I guess MSNBC doesn't care, as long as it brings in viewers.  They might as well go to Fox at this point.

Mika & Joe's pilgrimage to Mar A Lago is being talked about on CTV News in Canada. The host of Power Play said Mika & Joe were hysterical before the election calling them hysterical by describing a vote for Trump as a vote for Hitler, the end of democracy & a vote for a fascist. She can't believe anyone would trust them going forward. Core supporters are betrayed.

The last time Morning Joe was on Canadian news was when Trump tweeted about Mika's bloody facelift at Mar A Largo.

IG Update: Mika has removed all the comments about Mar A Lago, and no one can comment on her IG posts.  

If all this is on the up and up, why are they so afraid of what people are saying?

I had only been watching this show the last couple of months and hadn't even realized there was a thread here.  I found it today by accident.  Lots of good comments by everyone, as I read the last week's worth.  I especially wanted to see what everyone could possibly say after this morning's mind-boggling announcement.

Welcome!!!  We're a fun bunch and we give Joe and Mika the snark they so deserve.  It's hard to watch a lot of the show (unless they're not on, then it's a pretty straight forward news/opinion left leaning cable show. 

Some of us think Joe and Mika are planning their exit, and this little foray into betraying viewers and fellow MSNBC staff sounds like they want out sooner rather than later. 

The best part is Fox News and conservatives not buying their bullshit any more than Dems are. 

There's tons of videos we've posted over the years illustrating what a hypocrite Joe is.  He is great at saying one thing and when he's reminded he made shit up or lied about something, he loses his mind and yells at the viewers.

Keith Olbermann is the reason I started watching MSNBC. His take on Fox News (Bill O'Reilly was always the Worst Person In the World..every single night) was way ahead of its time. I also remember him from the very early days of ESPN. 

 The media reaction to The Twins' humiliating themselves has been surreal. I wonder if the less toadying of the KYV members will desert? It would be like waking up on Christmas morning as a child and finding a pony under the tree. Or as a Senior Citizen of a certain age... waking up beside Paul McCartney...my first real crush.

I had been tapering off these two during the run up to the election. Preferred listening to the Bullwark and Meidas Touch. Of course, I have always turned them off when Mika starts blathering about her vanity project.

Tuned in this morning to see how they were handling the backlash. It appeared to me that there was more than usual tension between them. It seemed as if Mika had not been fully on board with making nice with DJT last weekend. It also seemed as if hypocrite Joe was back pedaling a bit and justifying his recent actions.

Joe is decrying racism.  So you go to the Racism HQ with a gift basket?  

Why can't Joe see that Stewart is the guy calling out the bullshit of the Dems, and Democratic voters are agreeing with HIM.  "Yeah why can't you guys get your shit together and fight the Republicans instead of cowering in the corner looking up a 'norm' to use against the guys who hit you over the head with your rule book". 

THAT'S what Democrats need now. Not you crawling to Mar A Lago with your tail between your legs, claiming "we're going to be double agents and be nice to Trump so then we can use our Vulcan Mind Melding skills to make him be better".   

How's that working out?  TPTB at the network tell you one more stupid stunt like that and you'll be hosting a Wayne's World type cable show from that basement of yours?

SNL will probably skewer them this Saturday.  Rachel or Steph should have on John Stewart and Keith Olberman to just make fun of Mika and Joe.
Their time at the network looks like it's over.  The network looks like it's over.  Non-propaganda politics-as-entertainment doesn't appear to be a viable business model for a major single-theme network.

In six months, Joe will have a beard, shaved sides of his head, drive a grey on grey bronco or an extended cab Jeep Wrangler, carry an AR 15, and trade crypto in between owning the libs on appearances on Joe Rogan.

And finally it's "there's a lot of work to be done".  Al is saying Harris went on Fox so why can't Joe and Mika go to Mar A Lago?

Listen up, Morning Jokers!  Apparently WE are the problem.   We, the Backlash!  A certain wing of the media (hint: not left) is tripping over itself to defend Joe and Mika bowing down before the one they serve (hope they're gonna get what they deserve!)   In the process, they are accusing the naysayers, the backlashers -- that's us, friends and neighbors -- as the reason why our country is fractured right now.   You have to go along to get along, don't we know that?   Joe and Mika have SEEN THE LIGHT (from a nearby tiki torch, no doubt).  Why can't their audience?  It's gaslighting on a major scale, with Scarborough himself asserting there is a YOOGE DISCONNECT between social media and reality.  It's not us, it's you.  Nathan Thurm would be proud.

I didn't watch the show today.   All I had to do was read about it.
