Joe repeated his talking points about firing squads. Bob said the military won't execute Liz Cheney.

Joe demanded an opinion from Bob Woodward or else he would move on.

Woodward laughed at Joe.

Woodward can't predict the future.

Joe wants Woodward to say that Trump's statements are a credible threat.

Woodward said he was worried about Trump but didn't believe that Trump would push Lloyd Austin around.

Mika said Trump would have an immunity. Bob said he still can't execute people.

Woodward said Trump doesn't understand anything.

Mika did not congratulate Susie Wiles for being the first female Chief of Staff to a President. She must pay full price to attend Mika's summit in Dubai.

Was there an uncomfortable interview this morning between Joe and Bob Woodward? A friend told me that Joe was impatient with him; Meeka tried to intervene and smooth things over. Did not work, show went to commercial. Woodward was gone when show came back.

Was she (friend, a fellow oldster) hallucinating? Seems this would be kind of newsy.

Yes, Joe was rude to Bob Woodward. He demanded that Woodward say that Trump's threats were credible and would order the execution of Generals, Liz Cheney. Woodward wouldn't budge & Mika had to thank him & let him leave.

  • Sad 1

My friend was shocked at Joe's tone when questioning Woodward. Friend says that Woodward is an "old man" (we are both older than him 😱) and it takes him a little longer to get his thoughts out. She normally loves MJ but says she was shocked at Joe's tone.

I am angry that Joe and some other regulars are giving their critiques of what the Dems did wrong. That would be okay with me if they had at any time voiced these concerns in the run-up to the election.

Democrats are the party of the elite.

If that's true then why do majority of wealthy and billionaires support Trump?

Hamilton County Indiana is the wealthiest county in Indiana. They are hard core Republicans. Marion County has some wealthy areas, but it is mostly middle class, suburban and urban areas. Very Democrat. Mayor, Congress, City Council. The other county that went for Harris is Monroe. Where IU is located.

If elite means educated, paying attention to fact then I guess we're elite.

That statement, whoever made it (and I have my ideas) is bullshit.

Joe is gaslighting everyone trying to be some down home hick. He's a member of the elite with his multiple homes, millionaire status, member of the media trying to sidle up to Trump bullshit...

Joe is a specialist in gaslighting viewers.  I believe MSNBC viewers who started watching the show after May 2017 would be shocked if they watched episodes of Mika & Joe from before that time.

Yep. And now he's right back to being a gloating, know it all asshole. Not that he ever stopped. But it's like he's dialed it up to 100.  And he doesn't know anymore now than he did a week ago. He's just such a loudmouth bully that  people just let him run his mouth because arguing is a waste of time.

Who does that sound like?

I turned on MJ and was happy to see Pablo; no political droning from the MJ regulars. Then.  Meeka reading Maureen Dowd's column. Joe droning what Maureen Dowd wrote.  Everyone joins in. With the very same words, second-guessing and dire predictions of the next four years.

Enough. We know. For almost week this has been a 24/7 topic. The constant drum of "I told you so", what the Dems did wrong, woke-ism is killing us, We Are Doomed, we knew all along that the Dems would lose, etc.  How about this? Maybe they weren't doing their jobs by continuously pointing this out for the last four years.  God, I am so very tired of it all. This election is probably life-changing for so very many. We and they deserve better than tv and print pundits hand-wringing, tired cliches, scripted talking points and finger waving.

Dear Maureen Dowd and your NYT fans. I’m sorry democrats didn’t live up to your expectations. Sorry the party that gave Americans social security, civil rights, worked for years for women’s rights, voting rights, LBGQT rights, protected the environment and endangered species and on and on only to see many of these rights taken any or stripped to the bare bones by the “we’re not the elitist Ivy League party”

Something tells me that the disgruntled voters (and the voters who stayed  home) aren’t going to get what they expected because they bought into an agenda sold by a fraudulent story of lies and anger

I hope he does everything he said he’d do because that’s what they deserve although the rest of us better make sure this comes to a screeching halt in 2026

I've been watching for about 2 - 3 minutes every day since the election, then I run screaming like JoBeth Williams slamming the door to Carol Ann's bedroom. I understand all four hours can't be filled with "In 2016 too many people didn't want to see Hillary become president and we totally helped with that and in 2024 the misinformed people of America proved their idiocy", but turning around on November 6th to normalize this shit is fucking shameful.

The good news is that viewers won't be subject to Mika & Joe's flattering of Jared & Ivanka Trump. Joe tried to get several panellists promoted to the Trump cabinet without success.

Mika & Joe no longer have inside status with an incoming administration.

Long-time viewers remember when Mika gave candidate Joe Biden the first Brzezinski award in 2018. Mika said it would help him win the Democratic Presidential nomination.

Jon Stewart just ripped Mika and her "reading the entire fucking NYT article by Maureen Dowd on air" to pieces. And said that he didn't see any "woke" ads, etc by Dems.  One was about securing the border in Nassau County (wtf?) .

I hadn't seen any of the ads he's showing, but if you don't recognize the politician in it, you'd swear it was Republicans ads.

In other words, every one of these pundits, Joe, Barnicle, and every other cable news channel,  is full of shit. Trying to be the "genius" who solves the problem. If every time you open your mouth you say something that is incorrect, maybe it's time to shut the f*** up.

No wonder ratings are down. Better line up that gig on Entertainment Tonight Joe.  The clock's ticking on your sell by date.

Made it thru 30 seconds. Joe is talking about how smash and grab crimes in LA led to Harris losing because "woke".

Joe you do realize she was a DA and AG, right. She prosecuted people like that.

And she claimed to own a gun and she'd shoot whoever broke in her house. Where the fuck are you people getting this shit??!! No one was talking about defunding the police!!  That was a thing that went around 4 years ago, and most of the social media chatter was trolls from foreign countries.

I can't imagine the circumstance where I'll watch Morning Joe again.  Politics isn't entertainment.  I'm complicit for keeping it on and giving them ratings.  No more.

I'll miss Katy Tur, Steph, Nicolle, and Heilemann.

I can't even bring myself to watch SNL, Good Morning Britain, the BBC, John Oliver, or even listen to podcasts.  I reject all media that discusses that ***.   It's all cats, sports, and comedy from here on.

John Oliver was actually pretty good this week.  And The Daily Show focused on the bullshit of people like Joe & Mika, and then had an amazing interview with Thomas Brennan, who founded The War Horse, a non profit organization that reports on "the human impact of military service, holding power to account and improving the public’s understanding of the true cost of military service.".

Brennan served in Iraq, and has produced a documentary about the Battle of Fallujah.  Seems more appropriate on Veteran's Day, than listening to the dipshits on MJ expound on all the mistakes made by Harris, when 2 weeks ago she was a brilliant campaigner.

Apparently throwing people under the bus in hopes the viewers don't realize how callous you are is a way of life for this show.

During the campaign, Joe repeatedly told viewers that crime was down. There was virtually no discussion of the shoplifting gangs in LA and other parts of the country.

I just recently became a huge fan of New Girl. It had never been on my radar before, and a friend told me how great and funny it is. Man was she right.  I don't remember the last time I laughed so much.  It is probably one of the most under rated comedies of the last 20 years.  (On Peacock and Hulu).

I'll still watch The Daily Show, but other wise I'm done with politics. What's the point of listening to a bunch of millionaires whine about how the American public proved they don't have the slightest idea what they're talking about.

It's like he doesn't realize we have the receipts. We've had the receipts for years, Joe.  Someone tell Joe the cameras record everything he says, and viewers aren't idiots.  Our memories work just fine.

I noticed Mika made her IG account private.  You have to follow her to see her cake travesties and "how is this thing still floating" lobster boat.

Or she doesn't want people telling her what a fucking idiot she and her husband are.

Yeah. I'm dropping cable and will get into more binge watching of TV shows. Bosch, Goliath, Justified, Ozark, House, Lost, Andy Griffith, Leave It to Beaver, etc. etc. ... so much to keep me occupied for years.

I did this a few years ago and my mood is 100% better and even with all the streaming services I have I'm saving money. If there is some big news story I want to see, there are web sites where you can watch cable news.

Agreed. And YouTube gets clips from news shows up pretty fast. I'll look for those when there's news that's of interest. And I get local stations, with an antenna, for sports.

Mika was roasted on the Daily Show last night for trying to read the NYT article by Dowd.

Joe doesn't allow comments on his Twitter account.

Joe is now a frequent target on Twitter for saying in March that Biden was in his best shape ever.

Joe has never responded well to any criticism.

Mini recap before Pickleball.

Mika was excited that Gallego won the Arizona Senate race.

Democrats won 4 key Senate races.

Arizona is shifting to Democrats except in Presidential races.

Joe mocked pollsters who overestimate Democrat support.

Joe applauded Trump for doing better than the 4 GOP Senate candidates

VanderHei said America has lived in a 50/50 country since 2000. He forgot about 2008 .

Joe said Trump has a unique set of skills like Clinton, Obama & Reagan.

Lemire said Collins & Murkowski could defy Trump but they won Pennsylvania, so they will have at least 51.

Joe admitted that the GOP has been gaining party registration since 2020. Pennsylvania could end up like Florida.

Joe never mentioned this before the election. This information was widely reported on Twitter during the campaign. The GOP was doing better in early voting as well.

Vanderhei said the Democrats could win back the House in 2026.

I hope Joe remembers all the shit he's said the last week when Comcast sells off MSNBC and Joe's show is cancelled because of low ratings and the exorbitant salary.

Donald Trump did nothing to win this election. His campaign scared people about immigrants and the government giving money to trans prisoners or wtf it was , and people were angry about the economy.

Joe thinks swaying to Ave Maria, pretending to give a microphone a blow job and talking about Arnold Palmer's penis is a unique set of skills.

This is why they were on late night talk shows.  They must know their show is endangered and put themselves in the shop window.
Also this is why Joe said one thing on Bill Mahr and took the opposite postion post election.  He needs to be all things to all potential employers.  And, given the result of this election, integrity is an antiquated notion, especially if you're pandering to right wingers.  Being blatantly deceitful in right wing media is not a bug, it's a feature.

Comcast selling off MSNBC would bring major changes to the network. It could no longer use the resources of NBC and CNBC. Would the new owners agree to pay $16 million per year for Mika and Joe?

Top story today is Pete Hegseth being picked for Secretary of Defense. he is a host on Fox & Friends. He is against woke policies & DEI. He is opposed to women in combat. Democrats are concerned.

Joe served on the Armed Services committee. It's a big bureaucracy.

Joe said to wait until his confirmation hearing before criticizing. Pre-election Joe would be coming up with several insults to describe this pick.

They'd get the cash in a contract buy out and start a podcast.

I saw on Daily Show the pick for head of the EPA apparently thinks it's the Chamber of Commerce. He's all about bringing back the auto industry, AI technology and jobs to the US.

Kristi Noem can't even train a dog without losing her mind and killing it, and she's in charge of the border and anti terrorist activities.

But girlfriend knows a good dentist when she sees one. Even if it means travelling to Texas and making a cheesy AF infomercial about him.

James Carville criticized Democrats' focus on identity politics. It's like smoke on a sweater.

Joe said Californians are fed up with woke policies on crime & homelessness.

Joe was outraged at smash & grabs at stores in California.

Jonathan Martin said Republicans used Kamala's speeches in 2019 against her in 2024. Democrats have to learn from their mistakes.

They have to stop moving far left and embrace identity politics.

Took me exactly five seconds to find this.  Arrest and conviction of nine involved in smash and grab robberies.

https://ktla.com/news/local-news/southern-california-smash-and-grab-robbers-stole-over-1-7-million-worth-of-items/#:~:text=Nine people were arrested and, grab robberies across Southern California.

Again, another five seconds.

It's real easy to sit on the other side of the country and say shit about California, Joe. You couldn't make it in Congress for a few years, and you were nothing but Newt Gingrich's meat puppet.  You haven't had to solve a single problem for the last twenty years other than how to get out of marriages.

That career of yours is a house of cards, and Comcast is about to knock it down.

Yes let's blame a group of people who are already suffering and endangered. It's SOO much easier than just shutting the fuck up and moving on.

I lasted about 90 seconds this morning. Trump appoints a Fox news host as Secretary of Defense and Joe's insightful response is..."Let's wait and see!" WTF??

In place of the news I am rewatching Buffy. Also started watching The Diplomat, where Kerry Russell tries to convince us she's dowdy and Rufus Sewell pretends to be bumbling but it's kind of a good watch?
