I assume this was current Nate's father? 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/38380-retro-yr-when-the-restless-were-also-young/page/8/#findComment-8395319
Palimelon June 18, 2024 Share June 18, 2024 Yeah, he was the original Nathan Hastings Sr, and played the role from 1984 to 1992. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/38380-retro-yr-when-the-restless-were-also-young/page/8/#findComment-8395322
Palimelon June 22, 2024 Share June 22, 2024 A bit old for the media threads, so I thought I'd post this here...some of the cast on Phil Donahue's show in 1990. And here is another cast appearance from 1993 (Kimberlin Brown is included, even though she was already on B&B at this point). 1 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/38380-retro-yr-when-the-restless-were-also-young/page/8/#findComment-8397957
Denize June 22, 2024 Share June 22, 2024 (edited) Thanks Palimelon. It was interesting to see the "normal" people in the audience had the same hairdos as the Y&R actors. Phil must have watched the show - he often called people by their character's names. DD was a nice-looking woman Edited June 22, 2024 by Denize 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/38380-retro-yr-when-the-restless-were-also-young/page/8/#findComment-8398170
Palimelon July 5, 2024 Share July 5, 2024 The original Jack and original Jill. This was around the time of Jill's first divorce from John Abbott. 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/38380-retro-yr-when-the-restless-were-also-young/page/8/#findComment-8406555
Denize July 6, 2024 Share July 6, 2024 Terry Lester was good at playing Good Jack and Bad Jack, whereas Peter Bergman only gets Good Jack and Boring Jack storylines. 2 1 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/38380-retro-yr-when-the-restless-were-also-young/page/8/#findComment-8407091
Palimelon July 14, 2024 Share July 14, 2024 I do believe both Jack and Jill were toned down a little after the 80s. Certainly Brenda Dickson's Jill was the most vicious Jill of them all. Not that Jess Walton's Jill couldn't be vicious when she needed to be, though. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/38380-retro-yr-when-the-restless-were-also-young/page/8/#findComment-8411998

Jill had gone through a lot in between the 1st and 2nd times BD was in the role and I always appreciated that she took that into consideration and played Jill differently after all that Jill had been through, and not played Jill the same way she did in the beginning just picking up where she left off. BD was my favorite of all the Jills. Still is. It took me years to warm up to JW in the role. 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/38380-retro-yr-when-the-restless-were-also-young/page/8/#findComment-8416650
