We love and don't want anything to happen to you. 💞 (((Peaches))) The Mr. Stunt's siblings (4) and their children (10) got themselves organized and are helping FIL. I caught a couple of hours of sleep at the office before I took over for the engineer -- It's been a while, but you don't forget. And caught a few hours of sleep on a patio lounge, while a niece sat on the patio watching MIL. Ran home for a shower, change of clothes, and back to the office this afternoon. The station managers were caught short with the L.A. curfew, and personnel wasn't prepared for 12 hour overnight shifts. It's better organized today and have better coverage. I got home just under the curfew wire (You DO NOT to engage the Los Angeles Police Department under any circumstances. Period.) Mr.Stunt and Thing2 were pacing the floor until I walked in the door, then the lecture started … Chastised … I can't wait to sleep in my own bed. 1 hour ago, jewel21 said: Okay guys, so the interview went well. It was in English and French with the main dentist and the dental manager. I told them I would let them know tomorrow if I want the job. Here are my issues. 1. The other secretary has to leave by 5 PM to pick her kids up from daycare. So I would need to stay later. Monday until 7:30, Tuesday through Thursday until 6:30 and Friday until 4:30. I'm not thrilled about finishing so late but that seems to be most dental hours. And I can start later. 2. I am replacing a woman who can't find daycare for her kids. And she's not sure if she will be back in September. So, I'm guaranteed work for three months but after that we don't know which sucks. The thought of leaving two jobs for something that might not be permanent sucks. But then again nothing is permanent. And right now I'm not working either job so this might be a good time to give it a try without having to quit anything right away. I mean maybe after two weeks I will hate it but then I can always quit and not have to worry about being unemployed when I'm still technically hired by two employers. Also, it is experience which I do need. But ah, I don't know. It sounds like an interesting learning opportunity for you, and you can still hang on to your other jobs without penalty. Snaporaz' considerations are also a good place to sort out the pros and cons. Good luck, jewel. 8 Link to comment

jewel21 June 2, 2020 Share June 2, 2020 There was a protest held in Montreal on Sunday. I think it was mostly peaceful but there were some who started looting. It's nice that people are protesting in solidarity with America. I think I read other countries have as well. The humpback whale is still in Montreal swimming under the Jacques Cartier bridge. They estimate she's around 2-3 years old and appears to be in fairly good health with some minor skin conditions. However, the longer she stays, the more likely she will fall ill, or be injured, although I heard boats and ships are being good about staying far away from her. I just wish she would turn around and go home soon. It was nice to have her visit, but I don't want her dying in my city. That would break my heart. And thank you everyone for your input on the job front. It's much appreciated. 7 Link to comment

Cupid Stunt June 5, 2020 Share June 5, 2020 MIL Stunt's improved after a couple of tough days. Yesterday, her fever was 103°, in and out of consciousness, They were readying her for transport to the hospital this morning when her fever broke. She was lucid, could identify people and where she was. She's lost a lot of her hair, and has a heat rash all over her back. She was so upset after seeing herself a nurse cut her hair (Mia Farrow-ish pixie) so she doesn't look so haggard. The doctor said she's not out of the woods; viral load is high, sustained low-grade fever, painful joints, elevated blood pressure, bruised ribs from coughing, skin rash and blistering, nausea, headaches, It's hard to watch her suffering. 1 Link to comment

George will be doing one on one activities with residents in the morning. 💪 The ones he’ll be doing playtime with are really excited. One is a 97 year old blind woman who works out everyday and told me she always had dogs and Yorkies, she’s the shit, a couple have autism or severe depression. Later after we leave he has a vet appointment so he’ll be exhausted by all the activity and excitement by nightfall. He’s gone to another AL community a few times before without me for visits -someone I know grandma was in one and he would socialize in the common areas with the other people and then cuddling with her in bed until she passed away. Her last words were saying she saw her deceased mother in corner holding a pail of water and greeting her then she asked “where’s the dog?” They are still protesting here and lots of businesses are closed and of course we have a curfew. One of my coworkers got a warning for being out before curfew driving to work at 5 am. There was looting by my other coworkers house in Waukegan (which almost all the places are mom and pop and meager besides the legal offices (it’s home of the always busy lake county courthouse and jail, this is the one I went to for my car jacking hearing). 7 Link to comment

Sean was a tech guy and he fell hard for jill and they were having a great relationship and then poof Jill ended it. I have no idea why the show ended a great thing. I loved it so I can only assume others did as well. Sean was recast at one point. But he was so short lived. Such a waste and a shame. 15 hours ago, Petunia13 said: Someone’s working tomorrow. Her last words were saying she saw her deceased mother in corner holding a pail of water and greeting her then she asked “where’s the dog?” That's so wonderful that George is going to work with you.
