I remember her name was Tara, and in the introductory episode for that character and Emma Peel's leaving she referred to her as "Ta-Ra-Ra Boom-De-Ay!" She was wonderful when she hosted Mystery. One of my brothers lives on the Oregon coast, in Florence, and he's been housebound there as well with the smoke from the fires up there. My throat and eyes are burning. You can literally taste it. The little animals look desperate, there is nowhere for them to hide from it. We have been putting out fresh water for them and tonight we're going to run the sprinklers just so maybe they can get some of the ash off of their feathers and fur. It's supposed to rain on Tuesday and hopefully it will clear this shit up. Link to comment
Cupid Stunt September 12, 2020 Share September 12, 2020 My sister is between the Butte/Tehama Lighting Fire (south, about 90% contained) and the Red Salmon Complex Fire (north in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, 20% contained). Local volunteer firefighters returned last week, to be sent to Red Salmon to cut fire lines and monitor backfires. The air quality is filthy and everything is covered in ash and soot. The weather has cooled and wind is down, and that helps with the firefighting efforts, Bea had her remaining workers step up the harvest; double washing fruit, packaging for wholesale pickup, and processing the rest. The ash stopped the ripening, so she salvaged what she could for the canner, and dried fruit products. Link to comment

So far we've found one dead rabbit in our yard, no marks or signs of violence. The humming birds probably won't make it. My son's fiance has terrible asthma and she hasn't slept in about three days. In the mornings it looks like we're on Mars. I hope all the Westerner governors get together and come up with some sort of a plan to address this because it's not going to be better next or ever unless some concrete steps are taken to combat what climate change is doing to the world. 2 Link to comment

I remember after 9/11 we smelled that smoke for at least a week 24/7. And I now get occasional allergy asthma which started the following spring. (Worst the first year and lesser as time has gone by, but still lingering.) There were unknown toxins in that. But with every single thing burning out west you guys are in for lots of respiratory trouble. And so many people evacuated - how, where can they go that's far enough away? So much loss. Homes, businesses, jobs, flora and fauna, lives... Link to comment

My sinus' are killing me, my husband and I both have a cough which is bad enough on it's own but in the days of Covid, it's even scarier. I'm constantly sneezing and the cat just lies there looking defeated. And weirdly enough it's only 56 degrees out. I tried hooking up the sprinklers myself but my DH bought some fancy newfangled hose system and I can get it hooked to the sprinklers. Link to comment
