B&B: What's Up Today at Forrester Creations? - Daily Chat

Recommended Posts

Glad to see Brooke finally get a clue, & realize she’s actually the one who’s got the upper hand over Dishrag.  She finally pointed out why Dishrag is at FC every second of the day, when she doesn’t work there.  She’s insecure AF, and despite Buddig’s ability to be smug & cruel & make snotty comments, Taylor’s insecurity about holding onto Hobo is really obvious.

You know what’s also obvious, besides Buddig’s shitty, shitty, shitty acting?  She’s totally miscast in this part.  Yeah, she can play smug & nasty & bratty & snotty cuz she was Greenlee on AMC for 2000 years, so she learned how to play those ugly traits & maybe that's all she's capable of acting.  The prob here is Taylor (as played by Tylo) was NEVER smug & mean, as Buddig is playing her.  Maybe that’s why I can’t stand watching her as Taylor.

Oh Poopy, poking at Sheila?  Not a wise thing to do.  The look on Sheila’s mug was pretty skeery.  Eek!

Yeah, Will was not too convincing or forceful about brushing Lunatic off, was he?  From the look on his mug, his “downstairs Willie” was interested . . .

More with Le Pew the Vampire, slithering around Carter.  How many times are they gonna play this same scene?  Seems like they’ve done it 600 times & EVERY time it’s still cringey, creepy & icky as hell.  And all wimpy Carter has to do is tell this vampire-woman to back the fuck off, but he predictably never does.  Whatever, this shit is getting very tiresome to watch.

Taylor, quit complaining. You know how you got Ridge, and that he's only with you because the big dummy is mad at Brooke for something she didn't even do. You'll never be secure, but clearly what you want out of life, is stalking the halls of Forrester for fear Ridge will stray. FeeFee, you're sounding as desperate as Taylor, as well as as hypocritical, and like Taylor, you will more than likely end up alone and leave town, or in prison for the whole fatal attraction thing you seem to be developing. Sheila, looks like you've fallen off the wagon, and are now back on the "crazy", it'll probably cost you your marriage, and your freedom. Maybe you and your granddaughter can flee town together?

How is it that Luna, stripping down to her lingerie to try to get a guy who has already turned her down, wasn't even close to the most pathetic woman in this episode?

I love that Brooke got to call Beige out for her hypocrisy in accusing Brooke of wandering the halls looking for Ridge.  Brooke works there, Beige. You're the one who keeps showing up there trying to make sure you've still got your tenuous grip on the man. "I had a patient cancel," so, instead of tending to whatever calls and administrative stuff you need to do in your office, you go screeching over to FC to keep an eye on your hobo?  Because you know damn well that, now that FC is back in his family's control, the main thing he had to be mad at Brooke about is lessened, and when he "chose" you, he didn't say it was because he was madly in love with you and genuinely wanted you more, he said he'd made a commitment. You were the obligatory choice, not the honest choice. Extra points for Brooke getting to turn the shrink speak around on her and talk about her paranoia driving her to hang out at FC to keep an eye on Ridge. I will give RB credit, because she reacted like she was slapped when Brooke said Ridge was the only man for her. She managed to make it clear with her facial expressions that Beige knows that Brooke will eventually have Ridge back, despite how she tries to insist that she's fully confident in their relationship.

If the conversation Ivy and Electra had about Will was supposed to be the reality of that relationship, the show needs to stop airing shit like Friday's episode. Because the Will we saw on Friday was not patient, and he was pressuring her. Personally, I think Electra is afraid to be fully honest with Ivy about what's been going on, because she knows, deep down, that how he's acting isn't OK, but she loves him, and he saved her from Remy, so she wants any excuse she can have to stay with him and hope he'll just tone it down and respect her limits. So she told Ivy a sanitized version where he's being so respectful and loving about her choices.

Pepe is probably tied with Beige for most pathetic. You both know the man you're focused on prefers someone else. Beige knows it from decades of experience, and Pepe knows it because she just fucking heard Carter talking about how he loves Hope and wants her back. But they'd both rather work overtime to have a man who prefers another woman than demand better for themselves.

And Carter, again, is not remotely acting like a man who is in love with Hope and determined to get her back. If that was the case, he would immediately step away from Pepe and shut her down when she gets into his personal space. And he'd tell her to stop when she talks about him taking his shirt off again for her. And he'd definitely tell her to stop when she tells him he needs to forget about Hope. But, no, he justifies engaging with Pepe like that as "there's just something about her."  When he threw that excuse out there, Brooke should have told him to leave her daughter the hell alone, then, and go explore that "something."

This show's preoccupation with young women's virginity is just too much.  Started with Caroline I, then Brooke was supposedly deflowered by Ridge (I saw it and didn't get that but others did), then Hope, now Electra.  And I'm sure I'm missing some.  Can we not have a story that involves a couple agreeing to have sex in a committed, loving way without resorting to these outdated notions of "purity"?  Or how about a young man waiting until he's ready?  That'd be something different.  But, no.  We're stuck in 1950's BellLA.

Yeah, and notice how we're getting 2 competing storylines of women being extremely aggressive in pursuing men who have expressed zero interest in them.  Uh, why?  It's really icky.  And if this were men pursuing uninterested women in the same aggressive manner . . . would the ickiness be more obvious?  Um, no, it's just as gross & creepy to watch.  Thanks, Bell, for throwing these awful storylines at us.

Guess I'm in the minority, but Will's behavior is not bothering me.  He isn't forcing himself on Electra, but he's made it clear he wants to have sex.  And she made it clear to him, she's not ready.  Look, either one of them can easily come to the conclusion that even tho they're attracted to each other, they may not be sexually compatible & should break up.

So did Poopy trigger raging maniac Sheila to come out in full force?  Brrrr, glad I don't live in LA . . .

Yeah, he's not forcing himself on her, but he does seem to be constantly bringing it up.  If he respected her decision, he would stop. One of the things that came across to me like a red flag was when they were at FC, and he talked about going out and then going back to his place. She, rightly, figured out that going back to his place was code for sex, and when she started to protest, he first told her that wasn't what he meant, but then he immediately walked that back and made it clear that it was what he meant. He's coming across like he thinks he can push or manipulate her into just "giving in." And that's just icky.  Like you said, they could come to the conclusion that they're not compatible and go their separate ways. That would be fine. But, instead, we're getting him constantly pushing her for sex, and we can all see it coming a mile away that, instead of ending things, he's going to start hooking up with Luna behind her back.

I agree that Will pressuring her for sex, even if it’s not forceful, isn’t right.  But she can & should walk away from him if the pressure gets more frequent & intense & uncomfortable for her.

Nice to see Brooke (or anyone) finally confront Le Pew on her annoying, overly aggressive, slithering vampire routine.

Sheesh, Sheila’s ferocious looks are giving me the creeps!

Poppy is just dumber than a breadstick. I’m a 50-ish midwestern mom, who watches this show, knowing it’s not real, & even I’m a bit scared Sheila is gonna get me. She crazy, Poppy, which makes you dumb & - probably soon - dead.

I know I’m in the minority, but I genuinely like RB. In real life, she’s adorable & I really am drawn to her in interviews, etc. But, she ain’t Taylor. I’ve said this before, they should’ve left Taylor off canvas & brought in RB as a reimagined Daphne; her natural charm would’ve been far more believable than the current Daphne, or RB’s Taylor.

Even though I hate Taylor, I also would’ve been big mad that Ridge was designing lingerie for his very beautiful, very sexual, very recent ex. But I’d have taken it up with him (but really, I’d remember my rule: any wo/man worth fighting over isn’t going to put her/himself in a position to be fought over). Brooke should just make a play for Finn, throw them all off.

Liam still chilling in the ER?

Does Bell have some kind of women food fighting fetish?

"I'm not one to play games."  Um, really, Pepe?  You're not?  What do you call trying to seduce a man to manipulate him into signing the company over to your friend and her family?  Kissing a man you know is in a committed relationship?  Listening in on private conversations?

Carter remains too stupid to figure out Pepe's previous connection to Steffy. How many times does she have to verbatim recite shit Steffy has said about Hope before he catches on?  Or wonder how she is so insistent that Hope pushed him into the takeover when she wasn't even in town when it happened?

At least Carter is finally pushing back and correcting the "it was all Hope" narrative, but I have less than zero interest in seeing Carter and Hope back together, even though it would be enjoyable to see Steffy and Pepe lose their shit over it.

Ideally, I want Hope to shoot Carter down, in a permanent way, so he does go rebounding over to Pepe.  Then I want Katie or Brooke to overhear Pepe and Steffy having another "Carter can never find out that I came here to seduce him to help you get the company back," conversation.

This is how I know that LSt.V is writing those episodes, because they have close-up after close-up of the noble Carter's square-jawed visage - I'm pretty sure I counted four, maybe even five, Carter close-ups on today's show - as he summons all his manly strength to fend off the hypnotic effect of Vampira le nez's intoxicating scent.

I guess we should be glad that he doesn't have a women wearing wet T-shirts fetish along with that.

This show has become a parody of itself at this point. Well actually,  it became that years ago, it's just now so pitiful that there's nothing left to paper over it's awfulness. There's not a single pairing on this show worth rooting for, yet Bell focuses exclusively on "who wants whom". Brooke's heart is in the right place, but her wanting Hope back with Carter, is an example of how years of Ridge has destroyed her ability to know what a lousy guy is. Carter is Ridge the cheating horndog, and FeeFee Le Pew is Taylor the hypocritical pain that is always butting in so she can be the rebound. Brooke *really* needs to recognize how unhealthy this all is, and not want this for she or her daughter.
