Amber Marchese Spills Production Secrets?

I recently read this article Is RHONJ Staged? Amber Marchese Quits Real Housewives of New Jersey, Opens Up About Production! and was wondering what your guys thoughts were? While I always knew that production would tell a housewife to act up or that this person said that, i never thought they would actually create their personalities. According to Jim, production wanted him to be rude, and wanted Amber to always mention her cancer..... while I understand Jim being rude for ratings..... why would production want Amber to constantly mention her cancer? Any thoughts?

Back when I used to pay attention to this, he blocked me on twitter.   But I follow someone who follows him, and who, initially was crazy about him - and he would reply to her tweets and she would compliment him, blah blah blah and it was quite the little love fest.

 

Yesterday a tweet came across my timeline from her to him ripping him apart.  I guess he must have gone on some twitter rant and even the people that once liked him think he's an ass now.

 

Apparently Amber is going after Dina now.

Oh and she "quit"?  Not likely.   I'd bet anything she was canned and her husband's activities on social media had alot to do with it.

Production wanted Jim to be an asshole? lol maybe this was one case where production said "Just be yourselves!"

I do think some shows ask some characters to ramp up certain parts of their personality. Josh Altman on Million Dollar Listing LA is probably not that much of a douche in real life, you can tell he and the other guys (besides Madison) are friends off camera. But Tiny Jim is probably even worse than he came across.

Yes I don't really believe what he says in this article either. He probably thought people would love his bringing the drama and when it didn't go over well with viewers, what does he do? Blame production, blame editing, etc.

Do I believe production might have told them all to amp up the drama? Of course. But obviously I think Jim took that suggestion a bit too far/literally.

I don't understand.  I thought Jim got an 8 million dollar payout from the government.  Why are they so desperate to be on this show?  They both look like pathetic idiots.

Jim has been blathering on Twitter about some tell all book he's going to write about what "really goes on" in the HW shows. Brooks probably sees it as a way to earn a quick buck or two.

 

I hadn't seen his Twitter in some time, but he (Jim) has also gotten very political lately, tweeting about Donald Trump who he clearly loves.   Picture of his kids in front of the Christmas tree wearing "Make America Great" caps.  He probably thinks Trump appreciates the endorsement, but  Trump wouldn't know Marchese if he fell over him.

 

But I digress - back to the book!

One section will be for fan's questions so he can "debunk" the "myths" surrounding the HW shows.

 

I'm guessing it will never happen.  I think they have pretty iron clad contracts as to what they can do in terms of revealing books for a certain time period whether they are on the show or been let go.

 

He's very bitter - any time anyone tweets something positive about Amber he retweets it with #fansspeakout and adds hashtags for all the other Bravo HW shows.   Such a jerk.

 

And apparently Richie Wakile is fed up - now when Richie Wakile thinks you're obnoxious, that says alot

Didn't Jim make millions when he ratted out his wretched company, because they would not give him a promotion, as a government insider?  Why the hell is he even bothering to do this?

 

It's making him look even more pathetic, which I did not think was possible.  Is is true, if Rich Wakile thinks you are obnoxious then it is time to get on some medication, though hopefully not from any fraudulent company he used to work for.

Their comments have me all screwed up. I believe that reality TV is constructed, guided by production during filming and refined with editing. So, it's kinda fake but still fun.

However, loudly proclaiming to have too much integrity for this show is exactly what I'd expect from them based on their behavior on TV. And, if he was willing to be rude because production told him to, it's kind of in his character to be the villain. Which is to say, the show now seems grounded more in reality, and while things may be amplified production isn't inventing these people from nothing.

So... In a weird way they made it more real to me.

I think the Marcheses' are trying to spin how bad they both came off last season.  They both loved the fame it got them, especially Jim but the vast majority of people didn't give them the adoration they thought they would get.

ITA and would also add that Amber/Jim knew they would NOT be asked back for another season after the last reunion. They have nothing to loose in making threats to spill show "secrets", nothing.
