I guess they got their budget issues fixed?  I don't know, but I doubt he's cheap...  I hope the show can go back to the quality of the first 9-10 seasons.

KaDee Strickland will be a recurring guest star as the new chief's old love interest.  I hope they won't be sacrificing stories of the established characters for the new people...

How many more stories can they tell about Severide, Mouch, and Hermann without reworking old plots? After 13 seasons we know pretty much all there is to know about them. They're just good pieces to plug in where needed at this point. But with a new major character being introduced it will take a couple of seasons (fates and ratings willing) to show who he really is and what his backstory is. I welcome it, provided it's within the context of the job.

I agree to a certain extent, but they can still tell plenty of stories with the people we have.  Severide wants a kid and just found out he has a brother, and Mouch wants to be a Lieutenant.  We also don't know as much about Ritter, Carver, or the new weird paramedic.  New people are good, but stories for old people are there, too.

Fall TV Preview 2024: Exclusive Scoop and Photos on 25+ Returning Favorites!

Season 13 picks up with the immediate reaction to Damon’s news that Benny is his father, then jumps ahead about six weeks. The reveal “really shakes [Severide] up in lots of ways, and he has to make some big decisions,” showrunner Andrea Newman tells TVLine. Meanwhile, Severide and Damon’s growing closeness “raises all sorts of flags” for Cruz. (Remember, he went through his own brother drama with Leon.) As for Severide’s other half, Stella also has some choices to make “in terms of what next steps are in their relationship, in terms of work,” especially following Severide’s own bombshell that he wants to start a family, which will be “addressed pretty quickly,” Newman says. At the firehouse, Chief Dom Pascal (played by new series regular Dermot Mulroney) “makes it clear right from the start that he is not Chief Boden,” Newman shares, adding that “there will be surprises in terms of who he bonds with and who he butts heads with.” Elsewhere, Mouch and Herrmann’s professional journeys up the ladder are “going to create lots of drama for their friendship”; Violet and Carver both have “a lot to work out” with the respective “ghosts” of their pasts; and the show will “peel back the layers” on Novak.

BONUS SPOILER!: “This is a big, Ritter-heavy season. Ritter has a lot of changes coming his way,” Newman reveals.

RETURN DATE: Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 9/8c (NBC)

I think she yells "you lied to me" to Damon, not Severide. Many people online seem to think she's yelling at Kelly because of the purposeful editing of the trailer.  Sev better have her back, not Damon's...

These are usually pretty well done.  I think at this point, Fire might have the worst writers, so if the other two shows' writers help them out, this could be good.

I’ve always enjoyed their major crossovers. I thought the one with the bacteria was particularly well done and I wouldn’t of minded if Peacock trimmed out the credits and just edited the three episodes into one complete movie.

Agree!  And the one with the high-rise apartment building fire where Halstead's dad lived was pretty good too.
