I think they divorced long ago but have always maintained a close family relationship. I know nothing of Big Ang aside from photos, which scare the living daylights out of me. I will, however, watch, because George Hamilton has a great sense of humor. I was glad to see how happy Big Ang is with her life (I couldn't handle it but it makes her happy), and how George Hamilton rolled with the punches and seemed to be having a lot of fun. Alana was right that the daughters/DILs should do something nice for Big Ang, but I wasn't surprised to see it not happen. I think George really meant it when he said he planned to stay in touch. Oh, and I grew up in Staten Island in the 1980s. There were no clothes available anywhere without big shoulder pads and weird straps on the end of your pants covering your heel and I hated them and cut them out of everything. One day my mother's friends had enough of me and decided to "make me beautiful" so I had the exact same makeover Alana got! I kept trying to flatten my hair and wipe off the makeup while they told me to knock it off. This really brought back memories for me. 2 Link to comment

I love George, Any and her husband, can't think if his name. Her daughters made me want to stick ice picks in my ears. Now that you mention it, I could totally see that! I had heard of all these people before, but wasn't really familiar with any of them. I don't watch Real Housewives and I've never seen a Godfather film (sorry not sorry, never going to!). They were all pretty likable, although I agree Alanna was the least so. I don't understand how people like Ang can be happy doing all that thankless work for such unpleasant people, but some really do thrive so more power to her. Crucial August 7, 2015 Share August 7, 2015 Love George and love his whole go with it attitude with Ang. I had no idea Big Ang had cancer, I hope her next doctor's appointment goes well for her. Her family makes me so mad because all the work she does for them and they all live with her too. Her kids are lazy and need to start helping out their mother. Commando Cody August 7, 2015 Share August 7, 2015 (edited) It was really odd to me. The kids just show up anytime they want and drop their kids off. There were too many babies for one person. Plus the mobile ones. A couple of the kids looked like teenage mothers. They think helping out their mom with health issues is a repulsive idea. Ang and George seemed to have a lot of fun together. I believe George would go out more, but he won't take the initiative. I think someone else would have plan everything and invite him out. I didn't like Alana at all. I don't know why people believe that gluten free food is healthier than regular food. Gluten and non-gluten, more or less rate the same on the health scale. The people who can't tolerate gluten appreciate that they can eat. If you want to be healthier, eat whole grains. Unless you're only eating brown rice pasta. Gluten-free cookies are as much junk food as regular cookies. If Ang had a problem with gluten she probably wouldn't have all that non-stop energy. If it makes you feel better, that's great. If you're eating because you think it's better - nutrition wise - it isn't. Also, Alana was really boring. She doesn't even seem to like to be around her kids or grand kids. I don't think she's the mom of one of Rod's kids who was getting into trouble. Although, I think Kimberly was kind of wild when she was growing up. I thought it was a good idea for the husband to take Ang out once in a while, but come on, tiny flower sculptures? I agreed with the husband. Go to a real museum. I'm sure he could think of a quiet place to take her where she wouldn't be bored. It would be difficult though. Ang is a very social person and likes to be around lots of people. Although, I think Kimberly was kind of wild when she was growing up.She is Sean's mother who has been arrested recently and had drug and alcohol issues just like Ashley.This was such crap about Alana dictating anything to do with George's life. They have been divorced since the 70s and while the family is all apparently close they don't live together. So much of their part was fake and clearly done to promote their show where Alana is portrayed as being too involved in her kids lives. I wonder if either this house or the one shown in the new show is actually hers. It seemed more like her kids just didn't want to be involved in the show and I think either Benecio Del Toro or Kimberly don't allow their daughter to be filmed because she doesn't appear with everyone else in the E show either. I don't watch Mob Wives, so wasn't familiar with Big Ang, but she seems sweet despite coming across as pretty "rough". It hurt my throat to listen to her voice though. George may seem snooty but he really rolled with the punches and seemed to really enjoy it. That dinner at George's house with all of Ang's friends was great! 3 Link to comment
stcroix November 30, 2015 Share November 30, 2015 I remember watching George Hamilton when I was a little girl in Where the Boys Are-- he was so smooth and dreamy!! And through the years he's stayed the same and become even more of a gentleman. I remember after Alana left him for Rod that he became a very popular escort for several of Hollywood's biggest stars, especially Elizabeth Taylor. He's just got a great personality :) He may look pretty good, but he's old and it seemed to me that while he was a good sport with Big Ang that he was tired behind that smile. Makes me sad to see someone like that really elderly-- like when he was throwing the trash bags into the truck.... It makes me realize I'm getting old! I just want to know: HOW on earth did Alana manage to snag not one but two hot guys (of the time) when she was young?! She was cute but not overly cute and her personality has always been so blah. I don't get it. I remember watching her on the reality show 'Help I'm a Celebrity, Get me Out of Here' and realizing what a stick in the mud she is. All the other 'celebrities' hated her and made fun of her to her face after being stuck with her for days. I can maybe see how she got George Hamiliton, but Rod Stewart?! And at this biggest?! He could have had his choice of women. (and from his book, he did) Oh well, this was interesting and I hope Ang is still doing good and that her sponging daughter/daughter in law are totally ashamed of themselves for not helping her more.
