Thank you for your concern. i should be very fortunate that I didn't get any migraines or stomach cramps watching another dose of Steph being Steph. ( 🤬🤢) Quote Poor @Magog. Steph was being Steph, and that was sorely needed. That was sorely needed like I need both wasabi & Carolina Reaper peppers in my mouth & swallowing it. Man, whenever I'm in a good mood or I'm having a wonderful day.(thanks partly to the Cavaliers), I can always count on those Warriors & Steph being Steph to bring it all down & ruin it all for me. (👿 🤬) Last night was yet another perfect example of this. The game was a slog in the 1st half (mainly because the Rockets sucked in the 1st half). The 2nd half was even worse because the Rockets sucked even more & because of that, Steph became Steph. (🤬) Jalen Green was garbage once again with 9 points & Dillon Brooks was being his usual sucky crappy self. I can always count on all bark & no bite like Dillon Brooks bringing in the suck like he usually does when it comes to those Warriors. (😠) Whatever they were doing last night, it was an absolute fail on their part & I wouldn't be surprised if those losers find a way to mess it up again in Game 4 like they did last night. Jimmy Butler must of been laughing at these losers last night. He certainly won't be needed for the rest of this series. They are playing very well. Lakers need a big guy badly since they have zero inside help, something that they relied on with a healthy AD. Wonder who they will sign in the offseason. Pacers have dominated this series outside the 3rd quarter game 3. They've got giannis and a bunch of role players. They've got to make some major moves this off-season if they expect to stay a contender with giannis two remaining contract years. Also dame ckearly wasnt 100% last game coming off tte blood clot. He can handle it. Its that idiot Dillon Brooks that will most certainly get his ass kicked on a daily basis. He would of deserved that ass whopping. Besides, Dillon Brooks sorry ass should know by now to not poke & agaitated that sweet teddy bear & classy gentleman like Draymond. Its not like him constantly doing this to Draymond is helping his team win, especially when it comes to those Warriors. As for the game, I should be very disappointed & downright disgusted about them failing & falling flat on their faces once again on those Warriors. But I'm not because I excepted those losers to lose again. Even when the Rockets were up by 7 points at halftime (57-50), I knew that they're going to find a way to throw it away. And it will not be a surprise to see the Rockets failing again on Wednesday Night. Jalen Green flat out sucked again as usual (8 points) & flat out didn't give a damn. Dillon Brooks was on his usual All Bark & No Bite bullshit & he didn't give a damn, especially in the 2nd half. The only guys who even remotely gave a damn & tried to win for the Rockets are Sengun, VanVleet, & Thompson. As for the Cavaliers, the game was over once the Cavaliers reached 10 points. It was a very enjoyable 2 hours & it was the complete opposite of that other game. Carey April 29 Share April 29 In terms of size & to be fair, I've come across people that were a half foot inferior to Draymond destroy the hell out of people that were superior to Parish (significantly). That being said, you're not wrong. Sure people are bigger-stronger-faster further in world history, but that's a loss for Green there. However, that may not have been the case every time, just much more often than not. Size is a factor, but it's not an automatic stat. Smaller people pummeling bigger people isn't unprecedented. In the NBA, I'm betting on the more physical (looking) guy, but I would not be shocked to see the opposite outcome. Especially with Draymond Green; we'll never know, unfortunately Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2756-the-nba/page/161/#findComment-8648669

DoctorAtomic April 29 Share April 29 Green is a post modern Rodman who passes better. Sure, Parish would have pounded him in the post, but he would have taken Parish off the dribble on a pick and roll possibly. Green also runs the floor better. Also, you wouldn't play Green straight up on a 7 footer either. Laimbeer is a poor comparison because he was just a goon and just as slow. I don't know how the best Warriors squad would go against those teams in the 80s, but I don't think it's a done deal either way. You'd think that would be an easy simulation to code up. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2756-the-nba/page/161/#findComment-8648721
arc April 29 Share April 29 The implicit premise behind these “Warriors couldn’t have hacked it in the 80s or 90s” takes is that the rest of the NBA forgot how to grab guys (or yes, hand checking is no longer legal), and it requires ignoring that Curry actually already does get grabbed all the time. Also, the skill level in the league is much higher now than back then. We don’t even use the term “7 foot stiff” anymore because those types of guys are nearly unplayable. A rotation center can shoot, dribble, and pass now. “Defense-first” guards like Tony Allen get played off the court because they’re so ignorable when they play offense that their team can’t sustain playing 4-on-5. (I suppose the old rules limiting zone defenses also contributed to this, a sort of implicit subsidy for defense-only players.) 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2756-the-nba/page/161/#findComment-8648777
DoctorAtomic April 29 Share April 29 (edited) Players are in better shape too, but I'd probably give the edge to the best Celtics and Lakers squads (86 and 85?) over the Warriors. In the early/mid 80s, scores are comparable to today without many 3s. Those games would be in the 120s easy. It's not like it was a massively defensive game then either. The Warriors would destroy the Bad Boys though. 1 hour ago, arc said: A rotation center can shoot, dribble, and pass now. Joker would eat Parish alive. He would have a tough time against Kareem, but again, Joker can take him outside and dribble off a screen. They should still bring back handchecking though, even if limited.
