Salacious Kitty January 18 Share January 18 (edited) The Aussies didn't like that she beat a homie in the previous round, and Danielle blew kisses to the crowd as they booed her. So yeah, no love lost there. Edited January 18 by Salacious Kitty Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8558128

Crashcourse January 18 Share January 18 No, after the match with the Aussie (forgot her name). She's always acted like a bitch, even when she played in the U.S., which is why I never liked her. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8558137
Salacious Kitty January 18 Share January 18 Oh, I missed the ass slap. I actually watched that match. She's surly, for sure. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8558138
roseha January 23 Share January 23 Madison Keys has upset Iga to make the final! The deciding 10 point tiebreak is on Youtube. Great to see her going for it, I really hope she takes the title, some 7 plus years after that USO against Sloane. Good luck to Maddie. 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8562302
CountryGirl January 24 Share January 24 (edited) I am rooting for Maddie all the way as sorry, I cannot stand Sabalenka and her constant grunting and shrieking on (almost) every.single.point. So glad Joker is out as he would have been more insufferable than we thought possible if he had managed to get to the final and win #25. Clearly, rooting for Sinner vs Zverev for the final. Carey January 24 Share January 24 Probably can't agree on that final. Sure the JOKE being out isn't a bad thing but Sinner losing that final isn't a good thing, IMO & to be honest Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8563187

Crashcourse January 25 Share January 25 I'm so happy for Madison Keys beating Sabalenka and winning her first Grand Slam. I loved seeing Sabalenka losing her shit and slamming her racquet. 9 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8563993
roseha January 26 Share January 26 I'm so happy for Madison Keys as well. She played such a brave and smart match, and it's great to see her win her first Slam. I don't know how the other women can stand Sablenka's screaming. 8 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8564222

Sinner may be a doper, but I don't care since I think most top players dope to an extent: no Djoker and another loss in a GS final for the violent abuser are wonderful, perfect outcomes. And a win for Keys on the women's side! 4 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8564430
Salacious Kitty January 26 Share January 26 (edited) Djerk has a tear in his quad. It's miniscule, but it's there. A double whammy for him as he rooted for the rapist to win. Too bad, so sad. Congratulations to Sinner and to Maddie. Seeing Sabalenka melt down like a toddler at the end made me snicker. 😀 Edited January 26 by Salacious Kitty Autofill got me again! 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8564433
Crashcourse January 26 Share January 26 I'm not yet ready to call Sinner a doper until the doping case is resolved in April. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8564437
Salacious Kitty January 26 Share January 26 I know they mentioned it during the coverage, but I don't remember how long his suspension would be if found guilty. Anyone? Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8564445
Carey January 27 Share January 27 First things first: Sinner being victorious was great. However, I'm not a fan of so-called" cheating, but we'll see what the results are as mentioned. I probably wouldn't call him a cheater anyway. More important, I'd root for him all the time over the other guy. roseha February 15 Share February 15 (edited) I haven't commented on the Sinner doping case up to now, but I don't know how anyone can feel this isn't a black eye for the sport. I was never a fan of his game or on court persona, and so I imagine I'd have wanted to believe his story if I were - but either way, no matter what you believe, the favoritism being shown here is outrageous. He isn't being penalized in any significant way - coming back just in time to play Rome and Roland Garros! And again, I obviously don't know this guy at all but making comments like Now I know who my friends are - who hired the trainer who bought the banned cream and applied it? By the way the fired trainer was promptly hired by Berretini so he's had no problem getting work again. It's bad enough that the ATP tried all they could to ignore Z's domestic violence cases, and is planning a 1000 in Saudi Arabia - but add in this and it really makes it hard to watch. A lot of observers are said to be really appalled by the favoritism here, even if some haven't come out and said it publicly. I wonder what they will say now. By the way the fired trainer was promptly hired by Berretini so he's had no problem getting work again. Shame how the misinformation and disinformation drama has impacted the tennis world now. Sheesh. There was no favouritism afforded to Sinner. They (WADA and ITF) followed the rules and found that Sinner had not benefited from the mishap in any way, that there was no intent (nor any result) to enhance his performance, nor did he know that the medication had been used on his body. And the guy is having to miss 5 FIVE 1000 tournaments. That's half the Masters Tournaments in the year and is a VERY damned significant portion of a tennis players year and will cost him substantial money and ranking points and who knows how it will affect his sponsorship income. Plus the cost to his reputation that is, unfortunately, going to follow him for the rest of his career, all for a trillionth of a gram of a common OTC medication. After the rules are changed as scheduled in a year, this minuscule amount won't even be tested for or reported but he has to suffer the consequences of these ridiculous rules now. And what difference does it make that the trainer was hired by Berretini? The trainer was employed by Djokovic for a number of years but I don't see Djokovic's name being maligned by anyone. And it's even more of a stretch to try and connect Sinner to Sascha Zverev. Yikes. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2316-tennis-thread/page/122/#findComment-8584278
