Jlina February 10, 2015 Share February 10, 2015 It's a good thing this show cast such great secondary characters - except Paige of course. (Her outfit was kind of ridiculous on her.) Because Walter is sort of a dick at times. Paige thought she had a V day something right up til the last moment. Ewww.....might not like her but that was harsh on the girl. Loved the fireworks for the kids...and all our blooming romances. :) Sly saved the day, making up for all the I'm too scared moments to date. I hate one episode then a missed week; makes it feel like they're trying to kill the show. Although the blurb for next week adds to my Walter annoyance. Good team effort this time. Link to comment
Vella February 10, 2015 Share February 10, 2015 (edited) Has Sylvester lost weight? I don't know if it's just the way he's being dressed now or if the actor has genuinely lost weight, but he definitely looked slimmer. Toby and Happy was super cute. Edited February 10, 2015 by Vella Link to comment
Beach Party February 10, 2015 Share February 10, 2015 Die Hard on a ship. Paige was a heartbeat away from being shot in the head. At some point, after near death misses in her job, she has got to worry she won't be alive to look after Ralph. That elementary school dance must've been dead for them to hear fireworks outside. Then because Ralph hesitated to go over to the mystery Sloan, I thought it might've been a teacher crush. That would've been an interesting ending! 1 Link to comment
Artsda February 10, 2015 Share February 10, 2015 I liked the hostage on a cruise ship idea. Wish Paige would be left behind though. Sylvester really risked a lot jumping overboard when he can't swim in deep water. 1 Link to comment
kaygeeret February 10, 2015 Share February 10, 2015 (edited) As silly as some of the plots are, this one was really cute in spots. Sylvester was sweet as can be with his crush and his stepping up to overcome his fears. They are making his crush interesting and it will be fun to foppow. Toby, Happy and Ralph's scene when they are trying to help Ralph but really talking about themselves was great. Fireworks are always great! Not thrilled with the Walter/Paige push/pull. Awfully hackneyed plot line. Castle drove this into the dirt and buried it, so I hope this one goes away for awhile. Edited February 10, 2015 by kaygeeret 2 Link to comment
thuganomics85 February 10, 2015 Share February 10, 2015 Totally knew the Captain was part of the weapons dealing, because Patrick Fabian is usually always kind of shady (he's currently on Better Call Saul as a scummy lawyer.) I like the idea of bringing back the girl Walter broke up with in the Pilot, but I just wished I cared about Walt/Paige more, for her return to have any impact. But, I felt like nothing came out of it. It's obvious that Walt and Paige will happen, but the show is just finding ways to dodge it for now, and it's annoying. What's strange is that I'm not with Toby/Happy. I guess I can buy Happy's reasons more, for whatever reason. And, at least they're fun together. Looks like Sly is finally got to step up with Megan. Really hope that Walt doesn't get pissy if they start dating, because he really should be happy that his phobia happy BFF and deadly sick sister, enjoy each other. Cabe didn't have any Valentine's Day story-lines, but he did seem to be getting close with that one rocket launcher, so maybe he was already set for the evening. 2 Link to comment
calipiano81 February 10, 2015 Share February 10, 2015 I was a little shocked that Walter has an ex-girlfriend. I always thought he was completely inexperienced with dating and even just dealing with the opposite gender. 2 Link to comment
MortysCleaningLady February 11, 2015 Share February 11, 2015 The secondary characters except Gabe make this show. I love Sylvester and Happy. Toby has grown on me to the point of actual like. Ralph is fine. Sylvester channeling his role as BigWig and going overboard was awesome! And his romance. Great stuff. 4 Link to comment
molshoop February 11, 2015 Share February 11, 2015 Hey, you can shoot me down with a rocket, but I like Paige. It is harder to play a "normal" person than it is to play a character with quirks. This show isn't realistic, so the fact that her job puts her in danger so many times doesn't bother me. 5 Link to comment
Password February 15, 2015 Share February 15, 2015 It was an OK episode. I was more focused on the character beats, which I assume was the point. In fact the whole cruise ship thing is so forgettable they might as well have allowed the characters to be sat in separate rooms to talk about their feelings. Which brings me to the crux problem for Paige/Walter at the moment. I have no problem with Walter sorting out whether or not this is a real relationship for him to go into. I'm glad he's internalising a few things before he takes the plunge. The problem is the show is allowing the dont-talk-itis to continue between the two of them, which will inevitably lead to other annoying delaying tactics. If he actually talked to Paige about his feelings I'd be onboard, but as he's taking his ex gf's advice at face value, Paige is left in the dark. However I like that the writers may indeed go the Sylvester/Walter's sister route (what is her name?). I like them a lot. They have an adorable, sweet chemistry that I enjoy and I genuinely think Walter's sister (seriously her name?) Likes him. Happy and Toby are OK. I do like that Happy voiced her POV and asked him to be patient. See? Communication is wonderful, and allows less misunderstandings and stupid delay tactics. The fireworks were awesome. shapeshifter February 15, 2015 Share February 15, 2015 (edited) So Walter's ex inadvertently threw the kibosh on his dinner with Paige. This is such a silly little show, but I'm glad it's on. After work it's like taking an escape pill without any side effects like you get from more serious shows (or from real pills). I just wish ABC would support its shows that are like this [like CBS does]* but so much better, like Selfie and Forever. *Editing for clarity. Those pesky pronouns will do it (create ambiguity and confusion) every time! Edited February 16, 2015 by shapeshifter Link to comment

I also wish ABC would have better supported Selfie & Forever (Hopefully they decide to give the latter a second chance, or make it a summer series). Link to comment
