Yay!  Sammy must be having his visions now.  And first up is John!  I wonder if it will be ACTUAL John or just a messenger in the form of John.  Can't wait.

If they are really bringing back Michael I have to wonder if they are not headed for an full end game this season. That's a big card to play right now.

Not even gonna lie, it actually will piss me off if Michael is talking to Sam and not Dean unless they plan to have Lucifer talking to Dean later. Because sure Dean has seen the Darkness but there is NO emotional investment for me if that is the only tie Dean has to the big mystery. And I sure won't have any emotional investment and will be massively squicked if Amara becomes romantic interest or Dean's Renesmee (Twilight reference).

But...but...wouldn't it be Adam's actor if it's Michael?

But, yeah, if it's Michael (and even if it's young John), he should be showing up in Dean's dreams/visions, not Sam's, cuz young John knows Dean and Dean is Michael's vessel.

It could work if it's a wibbley wobbley timey wimey thing in the DarknessScape.

It would also make sense for it being Dean's  hallucination/vision/premonition since he's actually spoken to Michael in John's vessel and Michael is the one that told Dean about the bloodline back to Cain and Abel.

He is talking to Sam. Jared said back at Comic Con that one of Sam`s vision would come in the shape of someone related to the brothers. Why would they not give Michael to Sam also? They screwed Dean out of that mytharc years ago. Likely, noone even remembers that Dean used to be the true vessel. That was made into a joke back in Suck Song.

So, to Sam the story goes.

And while I can`t get a new scene with Dean and Amara to save my life, of course Sam`s visions are given screentime and big showy treatment. Whatever.

Question: Any scoop on next week’s “Baby” episode of Supernatural? Any bromantic scene we should be looking forward to? —Eleni

Ausiello: TVLine’s resident Supe-heroine Vlada Gelman has seen Wednesday’s anticipated hour and she tells me exclusively because I’m her boss that it’s an “Impala love letter” featuring “a surprise that should delight longtime fans.” She also reports that the hour boasts “several fantastic music cues, a rather poignant talk between the brothers in their beloved car and Baby’s first valet experience!”

Question: Any scoop on possible romances for the Winchesters on Supernatural this season? —Emmerentia

Ausiello: Dean will be involved in a surprising (albeit one-sided) romance of sorts in Episode 11 when The Brothers W investigate a murder at a posh nursing home. One of the residents — saucy, sassy 60-year-old Mildred — launches a major, outrageous, PG-13 flirtation attack on Jensen Ackles, and I hear it’s hilarious. And hot as hell. I’m calling it: This is the love story for which Supernatural fans have been longing.

Matt Cohen is claiming, on Twitter, that it's a deleted scene from Season 5.

Bahahaha! First Jim Michaels saying the Cage pic is a tribute to Hennings, then, fleshing it out later as "a tribute to Hennings being filmed on the next set over", now Cohen saying deleted scene.

Yeah, riiiiight.

Hmmm, that would be interesting if it was a deleted scene from s5.  These guys.

matt cohen ‏@mattcohen4real 11m11 minutes ago

The series was suppose to end in season 5, hence, the darkness dialogue. That is a cut scene from season 5 that you will see in season 11.

I wouldn't be surprised if the show actually did this to save money.  Dig up some old clips that happen to fill that need for now? You never know. He might not be lying.

He fleshed it out in a further tweet. Dunno. The "deleted scene from season 5" "being used in season 11" and "the darkness is coming was a reference to the Apocalypse". Hmmm. I could go either way on this one, actually.

Not in my book but the way it's written, it sure implies grey-haired granny.

Eh, I didn't get that impression.  Grey haired at 60 could be Jamie Lee Curtis style of granny. Pretty and sexy.  Also, Dean is almost 40 so she would only 20 years older than Dean give or take a year.  60 year old men flirt with 40 year old women all the time. I guess I'm just not seeing the  grossness here.

They will play it like with Sam and the old woman in that terrible Bela boat episode. That is a given,The writers are tone-deaf when it comes to these things, they have proven that a million times and keep proving it nearly every single episode.

That said, I`m still glad it`s not another female going gaga over Sam and ignoring Dean.

Hopefully, this is not all the episode will be about. Hell, the lyrics to "Sound of Silence" go "hello darkness, my old friend..."  Is this really a random-ass title for a MOTW that has nothing to do with the arc?

Yeah, I think this is not the forum to be ageist in! ;-) (Unlike, say, tumblr.)

I'm sure that any of us old biddies would be more than willing to do a hot-and-heavy flirtation with Dean. In fact, I'll volunteer. ;-)

Wait... a sexually active older women is equitable to a child molester?  I'm sorry, did you all miss the whole sexual revolution concept that went around in 70s/80s?  Because that sexually active older women lived though it and she recommends that you go back and check it out.

Alas, Aeryn's probably right. They'll play it like the grabby older woman in the ghost ship episode, or like the two ladies in Ask Jeeves. Though at least this time it'll be Dean as the target instead of Sam...

It would be nice if they played it straight. But if the 60-year-old woman is named Mildred--of all names!--it'll probably be for laughs. Notice how it's rarely played for laughs if the genders are reversed...

Seriously. Why can't the writers just look at the U.S. Census top names list? Mildred. Bah.

Not what I meant. I meant it's a cheap joke - less worse than a child molester but pretty low on the class scale.

EP 6 summary from K-site: http://www.ksitetv.com/supernatural/supernatural-official-description-for-our-little-world/83429/
"Our Little World"

METRATRON RETURNS — Castiel (Misha Collins) seeks out Metatron’s (guest star Curtis Armstrong) help to stop the Darkness. However, Metatron is pretty happy with his new life as a freelance videographer for the local news and isn’t inclined to help the Winchesters (Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles) or Castiel.   Meanwhile, Crowley (Mark Sheppard) is losing his hold on Amara. John Showalter directed the episode written by Robert Berens (#1106).  Original airdate 11/11/2015.

So, that's not how you spell Metatron. They can't even spell the names right now??

Clearly the next mytharc episode.  I'm surprised Crowley still has Amara.

They did the older honey bit in Time After Time when the female Bobby Singer kissed an unprepared Dean.  He was not pleased.  As a 55 year old woman, I have the hots for JA, and I have two sixty year old friends that look like they're in the their forties, so bring it on!

I think back to the beautiful museum curator who hit on Dean in Blade Runners. I'm guessing she was in her late 40s, early 50s. And he was definitely NOT disgusted by her obvious flirtation. He was intrigued. The joke there was that she was more than happy to have Dean "interrogate" her and Sam was NOT invited LOL.  I love that scene.

To me the only time it's played as a joke is when it's Sam being hit on (see Ask Jeeves and Red Sky at Morning)  because he is so uncomfortable being flirted with by ANYONE. He could hardly figure out what to do with Sarah. Ruby of course was a different story because she was using him.

I always thought the gag in Time After Time was more that Ezra reminded him of Bobby then suddenly Bobby's avatar planted one on him and was taken off guard. He wiped his lips but eh I didn't think it was disgust so much as "WTF was that??'

So thinking about Michael appearing.

Some of the debate I'm reading on line is that it doesn't work for young!John to be Michael's meatsuit again; that it should be Adam since he was Michael's most recent meatsuit.

I'm thinking by that logic wouldn't Lucifer have to come back through Sam since Sam was his last meatsuit?

Yes I know Sam's meatsuit was pulled out by Cas but I'm thinking Lucifer would seek out that same meatsuit because it fit him and was his Chosen Vessel in the end.

Sam and Dean are very different in these situations, and the writers have set up different ways of looking a them... Most of the time Sam is placed in these uncomfortable sexual situations in a humorous/non-threatening way, whereas Dean's usually tends to be more threatening and rarely funny.  As a friend said in a conversation with me, "monsters and humans have attacked- or tried to- Dean with sexual intentions. From almost getting roofied at a club in NYC when he was a teenager (story told to Cas) to Boris the vampire to Abbadon to Crowley".  Even if it's not the main intent, there is often a sexually threatening undercurrent with Dean.  There is less of that with Sam.  It would be interesting to see how Dean deals with it when it's not creepy.

Ruby of course was a different story because she was using him.

I'm not sure how Ruby intending to use him makes a difference.  I mean, when Meg made moves on him she was intending to use him, too, it didn't make her effective.  I think the difference came from the fact that Sam was intending to use Ruby.  He wanted to use Ruby to get the power needed to kill Lilith -- he didn't foresee the addiction and the fact that would blind him to Ruby machinations.  But then, no one foresees addiction or no one would ever become addicted. (I'm looking at you, Dean, and the MoC).

I was referring strictly to the scenes that are played for comedy as what we were discussing.

Nothing in my commentary was implying that Dean's constantly being sexually assaulted and threatened in a sexual way is a joke.

I mentioned Ruby to juxtapose Sam's awkwardness with her was never played for comedy.  His awkwardness with Sarah was played for comedy.

Apparently they are having a press time up in Vancouver and today was SPN day. So I expect press reports (Internet) in the near future.

As Jared is obviously filming, and they are 1 or 2 eps post the mid season finale, he's not the TV Guide blind item.

ETA: Misha and Ruth are there in costume as well so that places them in this episode as well.

Okay so I have a question.

Does Sam still have angel grace left in him from Gadreel?

No. Castiel removed most of it, and it was explained by Castiel that it would eventually fade, so what little was left likely went away a long time ago. The fading part was why Sam was insisting that Castiel keep pushing to extract it for the spell even though it was dangerous... because Cas told him that the grace wouldn't last, so Sam was in a hurry for Castiel to get it so that they could find Gadreel.

I'm pretty sure that Gen is there for family reasons.  I think she moves the family up to Vancouver for much of Jared's filming based on past Vancouver family tweets during the filming weeks.

If I was to read any potential clue into this little picture, I'd say that Rowena must do something to Sam (or cause him even more trouble).  Personally I LOVE the Rowena/Sam dynamic.  It's such a fun odd couple.  Ruth added the word "GIANT" when Sam chained Rowena up last year and it was PERFECT.  Then last week it was Sam who was escorting Rowena around the corner and the visual is just freaking hilarious to me. I realize it's an ANCIENT sight gag, but I find them a good sparing match in terms of cleverness.  Plus she calls him Samuel.  It's just a great antagonistic/protagonist chemistry.  I'm not implying a ship but you can't seem to pair two names together without it implying a ship. But just like I think Dean and Crowley are fascinating, I think Sam and Rowena are fascinating.

That's... kind of disappointing, actually.  She's at -- what?  15 episodes or so?  And she's been in more episodes than any other woman over 11 seasons?

I think Sam and Dean (and maybe Cas) could use a female perspective from time to time.  If for no other reason than to say, "Snap out of it!"  I don't know.  A lot of the time, I think TPTB really need to shake things up somehow.  They just keep getting deeper and deeper into their rut.  I'm not saying that adding women to the cast would fix everything wrong with it, but I suspect that some new perspectives couldn't hurt.  *shrug*

I'm looking forward to this one, too. And there's so much smiling in the promo!

Anyone else find it weird how they always show the guys bedding down *in* the Impala, though? Isn't that really cramped? Why don't they just sleep outside? (Actual question. I know nothing about camping).

I would sleep in the car long before I'd camp outside. They are better protected.  It's a big car.

The car is big, but so are those guys. If it were me, I'd prefer to stretch out more. But, I'm short, so I wouldn't have that problem anyway. I'm a backpacker, though, so I might be biased, but if the weather was good, I'd camp out.

Of course, in this episode, they can't be too far from Baby, so...

I'd probably sleep in that car.  Camping is a pain in the ass if you have to set up and tear down all the time. Plus they're inside metal - safer, I would think.  Then again, I'd have a pillow and blankey to be more comfy.
