Snazzy Daisy May 12 Share May 12 Hey Otto Waldron, were you having an affair with Mary? That was a big favor you did for her. 🤨 I guess Tracker hasn’t decided to make Mary a villain or a victim. This cliffhanger should be addressed very early in next season. Please don’t drag it till the end of season 3. Russell and Dory should also be there when Colter confronts Mary about this. This is an emotionally compelling scene. 💔 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153513-s02e20-echo-ridge/#findComment-8659639
TheCathedral May 12 Share May 12 The writers really went there huh, Colter dealing with several serial killers, that weird family in Montana, aliens/government conspiracies, the teenage witch, the guy seeking immortality in New Orleans and I'm probably forgetting something, they had to add a child trafficking ring on the season finale(on mother's day!) season 2 was extremely dark but the episode was actually decent, only the second case that Colter didn't save the person he was hired to find, 3 if you count the first serial killer arc. I like Drew Powell and I hope he returns, I was afraid he was going to die during the rescue mission, and why did Colter wait so long to call the cops? Colter not saving Bill was sad but it's better for the show if we don't expect happy endings in every episode. The family mystery continues to be uninteresting to me, Colter leaving that box for his mom to find was predictable, I hope it was a trap, she acts incredibly shady, and did I miss something? how did he make the leap that the other person in the woods was Otto? I'm willing to overlook the amazing coincidence with Colter finding the wood carving while investigating an unrelated case. Randy and Bobby are coexisting just fine! Velma had her longest scene of the season! Reenie's storyline with her shady client isn't done yet, ugh. See you guys in September/October! 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153513-s02e20-echo-ridge/#findComment-8659797

peeayebee May 13 Share May 13 The obvious thing, to me, is that Colter's dad was abusive, so the mom asked the friend to kill him. Or maybe help her, and so the guy took it from there. There are probably other explanations. I get this show mixed up with others, but was Colter's dad getting dementia? I don't get why Bill didn't do something in the diner other than give the boy a piece of pie and a silver dollar. The boy was obviously traumatized. The man was mean and abusive. I would have called the police first thing. I appreciated Colter shooting the guy in the legs. Of course he's a crack shot, so no risk of him missing. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153513-s02e20-echo-ridge/#findComment-8660292
Maren May 13 Share May 13 I still don't get why Colter doesn't confront his Mom about her throwing Russell out and saying he killed the dad. It's like the only kid she cared about was Colter. Russell was sacrificed and she seems to have written Dory for leaving. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153513-s02e20-echo-ridge/#findComment-8660348

She’s been off ever since we first saw her. His dad had obvious issues, but Colter implied his mom was normal. I could never understand why she was still ‘hiding’ in that isolated area years after her husband’s death. Poor Russell, to be estranged from his siblings for no reason other than being able to leave. Did we know if Russell suspected his mom? 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153513-s02e20-echo-ridge/#findComment-8660488
emma675 May 13 Share May 13 Well, that was a totally expected cliffhanger. I hope they open next season with the reasons why Colter's mom enlisted that guy to push his dad off the ledge and don't drag this out over the entire season. And I hope Russell and Dory are there when Colter confronts his mom. Russell especially deserves to be there, his mom knowingly lied about his involvement and pushed him out of their home when he was just a teen. Plus, I just like Dory and Russell and Colter's interactions with them. More dark stories and violence. I hope that doesn't continue next season. I did weirdly enjoy Colter's lack of emotion when shooting the trafficker in the legs as he tried to get away. And I liked seeing how horrified and disgusted every man was when they found out what was going on. From Randy and Bobby to the old friend who helped Colter rescue the kids to the meth dealer. But I'm tired of the dark, nasty storylines and gun violence. Show me Colter using his nature skills to track lost hikers instead. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153513-s02e20-echo-ridge/#findComment-8660814

Cowgirl May 14 Share May 14 I thought they sort of implied from the start that Colter's mother was into the conspiracy theories too. They also said she was working for the university too and made her seem just as shady as the dad at first. I have a feeling they backed off that in an attempt to make us forget that she might've been involved in some shady dealings too. I loved the knitted sweater jacket the mother wore. It reminded me of the knitting catalogues my mom used to get, which were filled with patterns for making sweaters like that. I haven't seen one in decades, so it was a nice bit of nostalgia. I didn't realize before that Jodi the little sister is married. With kids! On 5/13/2025 at 2:59 PM, emma675 said: More dark stories and violence. I hope that doesn't continue next season. I always shout directions at the t.v. like "Shoot the tires!" "Shoot the legs." While I hate the violent storylines this season, I am gratified at how many times Colter has listened to what I was yelling! 😆 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153513-s02e20-echo-ridge/#findComment-8661529

No, I didn't get where he made that connection either. While I feel bad for Angela & Bill, it was refreshing to get a case where the missing turns up dead. Well maybe "refreshing" is the wrong word, but you get my drift. This was actually one of the better episodes of the season. But am I wrong, or didn't Mary tell Colter to not get in touch with Russell? She didn't seem to flinch when Colter mentioned his name or thst he was in contact with his brother. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153513-s02e20-echo-ridge/#findComment-8668585

You are correct, she told Colter to dodge Russell's calls in the first episode, the whole thing is kinda ridiculous if you think about it, Colter believed that his brother had something to do with their father's death for 20 years but after a brief conversation he realized that Russell was innocent, okay then... it's not a great mystery and I'm afraid the writers are going to milk it for years. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153513-s02e20-echo-ridge/#findComment-8669364
