iMonrey March 25 Share March 25 What exactly is wrong with Wihan? Because more and more I suspect he's just not very bright. He doesn't seem to understand what people are telling him, and he looked like he was going to cry while Jason was very gently criticizing him. And I want to say I'm losing respect for Johnny for kind of sticking up for Wihan, but except for Harry the deck crew are taking their cue from Wihan so they obviously think it's just fine to screw around and look at pictures on their phone while everyone else is running ragged. Harry only knows better because he's been here before. I think it's pretty obvious Wihan is going to get fired. The only question is whether we'll get another bosun or if they promote Johnny or Harry. 10 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152548-s03e08-rumble-in-the-jungle/#findComment-8616204

I don't think he has much experience being a bosun, and I don't see him evolving into a good bosun, simply because he refuses to own any mistakes he's made. 10 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152548-s03e08-rumble-in-the-jungle/#findComment-8616578

snarts March 25 Author Share March 25 (edited) Not sure if it's editing but it seems like Tzarina's meals are much simpler than the other BD chefs. She rarely offers a starter/app or even a salad. Just a main & dessert. I'd be disappointed if I were a guest. Wihan appears to want to blame Lara for everything. Tzarina came to him directly with issues & he blamed Lara. The Captain gently provided feedback & he blamed Lara. Lara tried explaining how his lack of leadership was impacting things & he was utterly patronizing, telling her to focus on beds when his team deals with cranes. Captain really should've stayed for that discussion, it's obvious Wihan has never been a bosun nor does he give a shit about the guests. He's just there to be on TV & troll for chicks. The only fault I find with Lara is how she's managing Bri & Marina. She purposely choose to keep them equally ranked so they should each get equal time on service & in housekeeping. If she now feels that Bri is stronger, then assign ranks. Continually keeping Marina on housekeeping (typical 3rd stew role) without any discussion on why is only fostering resentment. The previews were interesting, looks like Marina snaps & gives Captain Jason attitude. meep.meep March 25 Share March 25 When Harry's giving you advice on how to deal with girls, you should really get a clue. I still want to go to the tortoise sanctuary. 2 8 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152548-s03e08-rumble-in-the-jungle/#findComment-8616742
PaperTree March 26 Share March 26 (edited) Johnny is so damned cute! Wihan working on that "Worst Bosun Ever" award. Lara is no prize, but she's right about Wihan. Disorganization squared. Alicia is cute in the pig-tails. Don't dump on her. With Johnny going all starry eyed, she may be the smartest one on this show. Turtle sex noises? Not on my bingo card, but wonderful. So Jason may be getting a clue as to Wihan's worthlessness??? Then bails to force a cat fight. Oh well. The food looked strange, but that is what they asked for. Seemed like it tasted good. Agree her meals seem simplistic. Marina is in a no-win situation. She's really good at a job she hates, so she'll keep having to do it, but if she does a crappy job, she gets a lot of grief, with no guarantee of moving. At least she's pretty much by herself and avoids all the continuous tensions. ETA: Should have said most of the continuous tension. Her infatuation with Wihan is pathetic. Red Bridey March 26 Share March 26 Wihan accepts no responsibility and demonstrates an "I don't care" attitude constantly. He's in charge of the shore excursion. Doesn't do any research and elects to stay on board. Shore crew finds that they can't deliver the food by car to the picnic location (something that could have been discovered by a simple phone call to the dock). Tzarina and Lara call him on it, he says, "I didn't know." Yeah, Genius, that's the problem. Not responding to a gazillion radio calls during dinner service because he's chasing Adair all over the ship. Dangerous! And one of the cardinal sins of yachting. Always have your radio on and with you! What if one of the guests had an emergency that required evacuation? Half of the deck team was off goofing around! I missed the issue that Harry was bringing up about night duties. Who was not getting all the night shift work done? Who complained? 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152548-s03e08-rumble-in-the-jungle/#findComment-8617159
aghst March 26 Share March 26 Not real jobs. Wihan looking at photos while they have trouble with the anchor. Jason watching him browsing photos right in front of the bridge. So Marina is trying to clean cabins and several others are going around looking at turtle sex videos? No consequences other than fake firings. So nobody going to mention the bat curry? I’d ask for the vegetarian dish. If chicken is unacceptable and for poor people, what is bat? Only okay if you want to start a pandemic? 1 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152548-s03e08-rumble-in-the-jungle/#findComment-8617405

Who complained? Yes, that wasn't clear to me either @Red Bridey, other than Wihan's lack of leadership in preparing a work schedule, in writing, for his team. Harry seemed to be pulling double duty, covering Wihan's ass for the entire episode. I can hardly wait for the episode where Wihan gets fired. I'll be dancing a jig! I agree with what some have hinted at, that Lara should switch up Marina and Bri's assignments, giving Marina an opportunity on service. Chief Stews that play favorites are not good Chief Stews. Chatty Cake March 29 Share March 29 I think Tzarina is jumping on the bash Wihan team because he rejected her. You know if he was hooking up with her, she would be defending him. That said, he is not a hard worker. Walking around the boat with Adair like they are on a date looks so unprofessional. Johnny seems to be the only one working hard. Harry is kind of a bitch gossiping with the stews about Wihan and then running to Jason like a big baby. How about working instead of sitting around with the ladies. 2 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152548-s03e08-rumble-in-the-jungle/#findComment-8620317
Red Bridey March 29 Share March 29 Well, remember Harry has a bashed in thumb and has been told to take it easy with that hand for a few days. I think we've seen Harry is usually a hard worker who is frustrated with Wihan's...what? Incompetence? Laziness? Have the deck crew noticed that Wuhan blames them for his mistakes behind their back? Like he refuses to work with Interior to get the job done. 1 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152548-s03e08-rumble-in-the-jungle/#findComment-8620421
SemiCharmedLife Thursday at 04:37 AM Share Thursday at 04:37 AM Wihan is not long for this season, if he continues to shun responsibility and order. I kept waiting for him to suggest that Adair- the deck stew- be assigned more time in interior since they seemed to be run ragged. If there were more stews on the interior, maybe they could do all the jobs without as much help from the deck team. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152548-s03e08-rumble-in-the-jungle/#findComment-8624794

They travel all over the world and I assume enjoy or at least try the food/delicacies of the region. The 'net sez: Bat meat is considered a food source in parts of Asia, Africa, and the Pacific Rim, including countries like China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Palau, Thailand, Guam, and some areas of West Africa AND ...In areas where food sources are scarce, bats can become an important source of protein. I don't have the means to travel, but I'm always up for trying foods of other countries/cultures. I'd try bat...and hope that curry wouldn't be too spicy for me. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152548-s03e08-rumble-in-the-jungle/#findComment-8626163
aghst Friday at 09:00 PM Share Friday at 09:00 PM I raised the bat thing because in the early days of covid, there was a suspicion that the virus originally came from some species of bat. There are photos of these markets where all kinds of bats were on display for sale an stories about some people having bat soup. So for Westerners, the notion of consuming bat is curious, to put it one way. 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152548-s03e08-rumble-in-the-jungle/#findComment-8626231

I've had him since 2002. He has pushed/smashed /broken every clay pot on our patio and back yard (and much more). I've seen YouTube videos featuring tortoise sex noises but never heard a peep (or squeal) from Panzer. We now have a couple of bowling balls that he can "hump" without breaking them to smithereens. Several months ago, my adult son FINALLY heard his tiny little "haaa, haaa." Trying to make babies. Kinda funny.
