Who the hell Is Katie?! Who the hell is Zach, for that matter?!? Did I just blackout an entire season?!?

Zach was the lead from Austin, Texas. Katie is his F1 and they are still engaged and living together. Katie is a nurse originally from Canada, but had been living and working in Austin at the time of the show. I don't remember Zach's profession.

Zach Shallcross. I can't place Kaity, but something weird went down with Rachel the Pilot on overnights. He has an uncle who is an actor, Patrick Warburton, who played Elaine's boyfriend on Seinfeld.

Okay, thank you both! Those context clues helped a lot! I still can’t picture Zach, but I do remember Uncle Puddy being on the show.

Zoe didn't seem any more upset with getting sent home than the lipstick chick last week. It's the No Tears Season. Or they're all too botoxed to squeeze any out.

I don't think Zoe has much affect.  At first I thought the yoga date was a real burn--since they really needed to talk and couldn't.  Then I realized it was a gift--she seemed more relaxed by the end, and when she does talk, nothing is said. I also thought it was interesting that they didn't show them in the fantasy suite at all--just on the beach the next day.

Letia has a weird way of moving her head around.

Word! and her facial expressions are also very odd. I also found her fashion choices last night BEYOND. Her last dress was perfect for a futuristic version of Woodstock. Her dinner dress looked like her grandma crocheted it and left out an arm.  Still, she is beautiful and she owns her looks!

Zoe having a whole chat about how she has never gotten to talk to Grant getting a silent date with him feels like such a personal burn, it was sort of hilarious. She didn't seem all that upset about being eliminated, she had a few tears but didn't seem all that devastated. Even the contestants feel like this season has been too short, it seems like no one is really ready for an engagement. She looked gorgeous in that white dress, its one of my favorite outfits of the season.

The "my favorite color isn't blue its teal" conversation is like something that would lead to a breakup on an episode of Seinfeld.

Why is this show so in love with these height related dates? Is it a lack of creativity when it comes to "adventure" dates, the inevitable drama of someone being forced to face their biggest fears while looking cute on national tv, or do they really think that its the best way to figure out if someone is a keeper?

Grant seems to be so into Letia, but they're so different I'm not sure this is going to work in the long term. My money is that he picks her but they don't last much longer post After the Rose, although they part on civil terms.

As I said before, I'm new to Bachelor World, so maybe it's always been like this, but if so, it's beyond stupid.  I think very few people would be ready for an engagement after such a short amount of time, and you definitely shouldn't do it on a pre-ordained timetable or schedule.

A few times, I heard Grant (and maybe a girl or two, I'm not sure) say something like, "And then next week is the engagement.  I need to make sure I'm ready." "At the end of the week is the engagement, so I need to figure out who to choose." "Next week is the engagement.  I need to see if I can get there by then."

The way they all talk about "getting there" is batshit crazy.  In real life, you just find yourself falling in love with someone.  Sometimes it builds and sneaks up on you over time; other times you feel stronger from the start. Regardless of how you fall in love, I don't think you ever have to convince yourself to "get there!"

I do understand how you could have strong feelings for two different people, but by the time you're thinking of proposing marriage, you shouldn't still be undecided.  If you don't know which one you like more, that's fine, but that's when you're supposed to spend more time with each to see what may (or may not) develop.  You do that way before the idea of marriage arises.

On this show, the ending (engagement) has already been written, and then they have to try to make the pieces fit into it.  That's asinine.

On a side note, good riddance to Zoe!  Even dumbass Grant was smart enough to realize that he couldn't convince himself to truly care about her.  (I still think he'd rather have Carolina than either of the others, but that's just me.)

Did you notice that Juliana already had full make-up the next morning, but Zoe and Litia were basically clean-faced?  Also, when doing the 4-wheeling, Juliana was freaking out about her hair and such (even Grant mentioned it), so I tend to think that having those lashes glued on and eyebrows painted in place at all times is mighty important to her.  Litia does seem way more natural, and I actually thought her "Woodstock" dress was one of the prettiest I've seen all season!

I hate hate hate these "adventure" dates, and if the person refuses, they're afraid they'll get dumped.  Well, dump me then.

So far on the Bachelor, someone correct me if I am wrong, there have been three marriages, all three very successful. The catch is that two of these guys dumped F1 for F2 after the season ended. Only one married his F1.

I about snorted when HI’s response to Zoe’s “I want to get to know more about you” comment was “My favorite color is blue”! Bro WHUT??? You’re not even going to pretend? I’m not sure if he strung her along for this trip just to have an easy elimination or if ABC wants her for the next Bachlorette and needed her to get more exposure.

I think he's phoning this in- he doesn't seem to be head over heels about any of the girls.  Grant isn't very interesting to me, and I know nothing about him- at least I knew that Zach liked Reese's peanut butter cups. 😏

I’ve inferred that Grant is a booty man, the way he’s constantly grabbing the women and rubbing their backside and hips whenever he can. His father is an addict. He was born in Jersey and currently lives in Texas. He fancies himself a singer. That’s all I’ve got.

I've struggled to find a rooting interest this season since Rose left, but I think I have one now: I want Grant to pick someone other than Juliana.  Only because she would be the most fun out these people on BiP.  (My inner adolescent wouldn't object to having her in a bikini for a few weeks either.)

But I think he actually IS going to pick her. I'm not fully buying into this indecisiveness narrative, and I think he's not ready to become a Mormon for someone he met two months ago.

Justice for Rose!

I'm buying it for that exact reason. I think he's super into Letia but the whole Mormon thing is giving him pause. So he's torn between "following his heart" and choosing her despite that pretty major sticking point, or taking the easier path and choosing Juliana who he gets along with just fine and doesn't have the added baggage of a religious life that he has zero interest in.

I mean, to be clear I don't think either relationship has a snowball's chance in hell of working out. But I can see how in this moment he's trying to figure out what he thinks is right for him. I will say I'd hate to be the person he ultimately chooses (if he does choose someone) right now. It must hurt to know that his decision who to propose to was made at the buzzer.

I get that. I guess we'll know if they are still together at ATFR.

But something about this just rubs me the wrong way.  Like he said something 2-3 episodes ago and production went WHOA NELLY WE CAN WORK WITH THIS.
