OMG. Did Gordon just promote Truth Social?  I’m out.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I don't even remember it so it must have not been that big of a promotion. It would have been nice though if, in your haste to express your outrage, you took an extra minute to properly format the subject for the episode.

As for the episode, I was a little surprised to see Keith go.  After his bio I thought he'd be staying.

However, why did they feel it necessary to spoil the audition episodes by showing the 15 chefs that made it into the draft:

I read the comments here first, and just watched the show, and didn't see that promotion at all.

I like Becca, Jeff, and Bobby. But was wondering, during the mid-kitchen challenge, if the chefs were going to find strands of Meg's hair! You could see those two clamps of her bangs, over her shoulders as her head bent; then later, they were pushed behind her ears.

I was really hoping Mistie would have been eliminated. Her steak in the first round looked absolutely gross.

Poor Keith. But he was just such a happy go lucky guy. I would have liked to have seen him progress further.

Eight social media chefs kick off the competition.

Looks like it was put back-Now I remember my original post!

Mistie's ground level steak grossed me out, and I wish she had been the one eliminated.

I really liked Keith. He seemed so happy go lucky.

As for Meg? I was really expecting some of her hair strands to have fallen in her dish, the way her hair was hanging over the front of her shoulders when her head was bent low; and the next scene, we see them pushed behind her ears.

So far, so good.  I didn't immediately dislike anyone which hasn't been true with previous seasons.  That may change.

I liked Keith and wanted him to stay instead of the woman.  However, he was very overweight and had already complained of a physical issue so I'll bet the PTB were glad to eliminate a possible souce of liability.   Can't blame them really.

I was glad to see the first woman, Meg?, go early because the weeping was annoying.

i guess I’m in the minority because I was glad to see Keith go. Just too loud for my liking.

No, Meg is the blonde with the doggie and who’s into health food or something. Ilena was the one who forgot the sauce with her Arancini that was eliminated in the first round. Jake, the dude that starred in an Adam Sandler movie was eliminated in the second round.

No surprise that Ilena was the first to go. She seemed to go full meltdown at the slightest provocation. It's one thing for Gordon to calm down a panicking MasterChef Junior contestant. It's quite another thing to calm down a 53-year-old adult.

Was Keith the one who put an entire uncut chicken breast into the fryer? Mrs. RaiderDuck immediately pointed out that while the chicken could be fully cooked that way, the inside would have almost no flavor.

I enjoy the frenetic pace of this show.  I love seeing them grab stuff and then try and figure out what to do with it.

I was fine with Ilena going first.  Incredibly irritating.  She's a grown ass woman and weeping the second she realises she didn't get anything to make a sauce.  She could have made a butter sauce or something, isn't there a pantry with staples like salt etc.  She said she wanted to be an example for her kids but what she showed us was just not good.

I was fine with Jake, the former child actor, going home.  His efforts didn't seem great.

Who was the one that one that was going to make something with a creamy garlic butter sauce?  That sounded gross.  Was that Misty?

I was disappointed that Keith was eliminated over Misty.  I didn't think his steak was great but her dish was equally lackluster and given that she was in the bottom two on a previous round, I would have sent her home.  So many of these contestants have absolutely zero personality, so I appreciated Keith's exuberance.  I also liked his story, he's from Watts and he runs a food truck.

I can't believe there are three episodes devoted to seeing who makes it onto the teams, ugh!

I think of it as a season with 24 contestants.  8 each round and we get three eliminations right away.  This at least allows for 24 people to get chosen out of thousands, as opposed to 15, and it allows for the mentors to see who they want for their teams.

No, that was Jack.

I don't think there is a Jack.  There was a Jake who got sent home in the middle floor.  I think the entire chicken guy is Jeff?  The Asian guy.

I still hate how they promote the basement kitchen as a very disgusting place to work. That's unhealthy in so many ways. Just make it very basic in equipment, you don't need to make it dangerous and unhealthy (or pretend that it is)

Did that lady who didn't seem to know what she was doing and kept panicking get sent home? Cause she was working my last nerve

She was the first to go home.
