Miss Patricia and Madison have a sleepover where champagne is poured and rumours are spilled; Shep starts to spiral over his girlfriend, Sienna; Austen and Craig finally have it out as Shep tries to play mediator.

Airs 1.30.2025

Argghhh, again with the "Craig's a bad friend because he won't go out drinking all day with us" anymore. He's not forcing anyone to be sober, he's just choosing for himself to drink less & stend his time elsewhere.

Plus, Shep claiming Craig doesn't listen/ can't see anyone else's perspective? That's so rich coming from the guy who ridicules literally anyone who doesn't agree with him.

This whole JT/Venita thing seems fake.

Speaking of...here they go again with pretending Whitney's some babe magnet. He's like Harvey Weinstein of Southern Charm, pretending you fancy him/faking a storyline about it appears to be the price of entry for women on this show.

Were Molly and Salley just making up new plastic surgery procedures?! Who knew there were so many types of chin fillers…and that you can inject cankle fat into your boobs?!?

If Venita and JT are such good friends, how did she not know he was dating someone? And did JT have a painting of him, Shep, and Austen?!? I know his mom is an artist, but that’s kind of embarrassing to have your mommy make a portrait of you and the cool kids, meanwhile they won’t even let you sit at their lunch table. Though, at this rate, Austen is feeling left out by his friends, too—though he’s surely not desperate enough to hang out with JT! Meanwhile Shep is mooning after his “girlfriend” who apparently just wants to be on TV and get some autographs for Grandma—and was turned down by Whitney first. Likewise, Molly has a crush on Shep. So there’s unrequited love all around Charleston!

In that flashback, did Shep’s “gf” actually allude to the show?  She said something about her grandma and Southern Charm.  I didn’t know they could do that.

That was an odd sleepover/pajama party between Patricia and Madison. It seemed fake, but we did get some good scoop on Shep’s “gf.”  I felt bad for the butler having to climb up all those stairs.

No one wants to watch JT and Venita.  And they have to bring in Leva because no one else can be bothered or what?

YEAH!  Who's desperate?  JT? Venita? Leva? BRAVO?  Are the places presented as the "cast's" homes and apartments theirs?  Venita's is SO CUTE.  Do we ever see her when she isn't cleaning or gardening...or this time: cooking?

One would think that by now Patricia would have a fancy small elevator installed/hidden somewhere...and RANDY is encouraged to use it.

I knew Sheps girlfriend was younger,  but not that young, I guess he knows how it feels, for someone  to treat him, as he's treated other girlfriends.

Molley looks so different  in her confessional( better)

Craig knows what he wants out of life, I hope he finds someone  that loves his home and wants to have a family.

Witney's wig looks bloody  awful.

Venita seems keen on JT, I can't  for the life of me think why..

Oh man the snark for this episode is overflowing.

Patricia is impugning the motives of another woman’s romantic pursuits?

What ever happened to game recognizes game?

She doesn’t have to approve of their relationship but she’s the last person to judge.

Shep is all mopey.  He’s been doing this for 10 seasons and he can’t recognize a groupie?  They haven’t really spent much time together in person.

Is he upset that she doesn’t like him as much as he likes her or he fears he’s being played, waiting by his phone waiting to hear from her while she’s sleeping with someone else and he hasn’t been trawling for local groupies?

Molly and Salley talking about all their procedures.  Either real honest, no long GAF if men find them attractive or they’re pretending for TV.  But with this confidence which they gained with age and experience, Molly now thinks she might like Shep after previously liking Whitney — supposedly?

😄

Lets face it, practically every cast member, especially the secondary ones, are supposed to profess attraction towards other cast members, especially the bros, no matter how mismatched they are.  Or they’re suppose to support these romantic narratives, like Leva does for Venita or what Danni did for Katherine.

Whatever, maybe Molly will comfort Shep.

Then you had the bros at the brewery place.  They asked the waitress where their friend would be meeting them.  How would she know whom their friends are?  Oh you mean the table in the middle with all the cameras and lighting set up?  Where the bros probably tested their marks so the director and cameramen could check the blocking.

Such a dumb conversation.  Reality is men of this age would be getting married and starting to have families.  Then they wouldn’t hang out as much as they used to, because of family and work demands.  Some men may still try but that would cause friction with the wives, if they think they do most of the work raising and keeping a house while he’s going out.

Craig said he’s all about business but if his relationship with Paige was for real, he’d throw that in their faces, how he’s engaged, he’s taking on real responsibilities, how his future family is his top priority.

Bwahaha.  We know family isn’t the reason for this supposed fallout among the three amigos.  In fact the conversation I’d like to have heard is Shep and Austin mocking the fake relationship, which is for TV only.  She only spends at most a couple days a week with Craig, and that’s probably when her show or SC is filming.

We know the boys will be all cool by next season, if not by the end of this season.  So no reason to get drawn into this story at all.

Finally JT and Venita, obviously the cast and crew knew he was dating someone or supposedly dating someone.  So why make him shoot that scene with her?

Or why have JT and his mother have this phone call about Venitawithout once mentioning this other woman?

Or why have the scene with Venita and Leva or all those talking heads of Venita gushing.

If this was for real, she might be embarrassed to profess such interest on camera without finding out if he was available.

It was never for real, she understood she was playing out a script, so no emotional ties for her.

Producers must know the stories on the show are so unconvincing.  But they probably don’t care, they have to deliver X hours of TV and this is the age of gaslighting so they can fake it, not worried about being called out by most viewers.

I know New-Craig is supposed to be all about the grind but what does he actually do?

Craig co-owns Sewing Down South, which has two physical stores, huge online presence & distribution deals with companies like Kroger/Ralphs/HomeGoods, etc. He's focused on the marketing side which means he's on the road a ton as the face of the company.

He's also co-owner of a new bar in Charleston (with Austen), a restaurant in NYC (also with Austen), and an investor in Spritz Society, an alcohol brand. Might be more. He seems genuinely busy which is why I find the guys attitude about him not having time for them so ridiculous.

And this is why I'm calling bullshit on their "breakup" - the restaurant openings were occurring in the midst of this show drama. My guess is it was a way to walk away from the podcast while still pursuing these other projects.

It sounds more to me like the actual issue is he wants to spend time only doing things he can monetize. If that includes the guys, great. But he doesn't want to spend any time with them where someone isn't paying him to do something.

I see it more about lifestyle, drinking & partying. Not only does Craig have less free time, he also cut way back on drinking while Shep & Austen still want him to be their wingman who'd spend all day/night at the bars with them chasing women.

"Stupid" - Mr. RalyWilmy when the show ended last night.  I did not disagree.

I've been watching SC since the first season.  Even though I think the earliest seasons were the best, I hung in there through the Ashley years, the ex-girlfriends club, "Pringle! Pringle! Pringle!", Thomas the creep, JD the creep, blonde Kathryn, Taylor vs. Olivia, etc.  and could usually find something redeeming.  I don't know if it's the cast or the powers that be no longer giving a crap, but this season is just so insipid and boring.  I really want to keep watching.  It used to be my favorite show in the Bravo universe.  If it's going to be nothing but a manufactured soap opera, at least bring back the Charleston porn and at least one or two cast members who have actual roots in the city.

The only thing I found slightly interesting last night was Shep getting a taste of his own medicine when his girlfriend ghosted him and Austen's middle school advice to ignore her.  Of course, that's probably all made up, lol.

Craig has to be on the show to market all these businesses.

If he’s no longer on the show, the business dries up.

SCdoesnt get huge ratings but if a few percent of hundreds of thousands of viewers buy his dumb pillows, or patronize his overpriced restaurants, it works out for him.

But be off the show a couple of years and what happens to the cash flow of these businesses?

In any event he has to be on the show and be in the middle of the drama.

Fact that he can monetize his role on the show just illustrates how many lemmings there are.

I don't know if it can ever go back. The first few seasons were all about the "old families" of Charleston. Craig was positioned as the college transplant who never moved back, and Cameron and the mohawk girl were there to provide the "new Charleston vs. old Charleston" tensions. None of those things exist anymore. They don't want to touch the old families with a ten-foot pole, not since Thomas' dad came on and said he won't carry a $5 bill in his wallet since it has a picture of Abraham Lincoln on it. And most of the cast are now like Craig, decidedly middle-class folks who want to be famous and are trying to figure out how to monetize this platform. Hell, Bravo has actually edited some of the earlier seasons to cut out some pretty tone-deaf comments on how all those "old families" came to be and what exactly they got their wealth from.

What most of these reality folks do, and definitely Craig is doing, is to make as much money as possible while the show is still on so you are pretty much set for life.  I would think at this point, Craig probably is set for life?  Not to live an ultra rich lifestyle, but certainly to be comfortable in his nice house. I don't blame him for hustling at all right now. And at least Craig has something to fall back on, a lot of these losers I honestly wonder how they'll be able to buy a loaf of bread in a few years.  But then you look at Jax & Brittany or Heidi & Spencer and I guess even the idiots figure it out.

It is comical that Whitney still has to be made out to be the babe magnet BUT I actually can believe that there are girls who methodically approach these guys for various reasons.  Like Kathryn and Sienna, if you're looking for a paycheck, Whitney is the one you are going to start with.  Then move on to Shep when you find out Whitney's just a gay vampire.

At this point, I think Venita's proposed hostessing class, done at her cute little house, would be way more fun to watch!

JT: I've led you on with my flirting and promises but I've had a girlfriend the whole time.  I am such an honorable upstanding gentleman that I will not date you because I have a girlfriend, I will just lie, flirt and lead you on.  Did I mention how honorable and upstanding I am?

Seeing Molly and Salley talk about Shep as a potential date/boyfriend just made me crack up more than anything else on this manufactured show.  Any woman with an ounce of sense in her head at this point will view Shep as a dried up STD ridden bachelor still haunting the dark corners of every bar in Charleston.  The old Shep of the first few seasons?  Sure.  But most definitely not now.  Yuck.

Shep waxing poetic about fathering children with Sienna while they all run wild and frolic in the surf in some uninhabited area of the Bahamas is interesting.  Because he still won't settle down in Charleston.  I don't have kids so I most certainly don't care if other people don't want them, but Shep doesn't work or do anything during the day.  If he could stop the womanizing and stay off the booze, he could be a pretty fun stay at home Dad.  I just don't see anything like that in his future.

Very good!   I think Andy Cohen is in love with too many of these Bravo spin-off guys (straight or gay) and keeps them around whether viewers care  or not.

Just as I think Craig wants a mommy-wife like the one he left behind at home, I think Shep wants a mommy who adores him like the Golden Boy he was and is to the family.  The women they choose are usually too young to get it...OR to want to play along.

I found it funny Craig said that he tried to bring JT back to the group (with the fishing trip, of course after Bravo's request), but he gave up after the incident in JT's place.

So, JT is out, and he can now reveal he has a girlfriend, and his interest in Venita was not real, it was a storyline he no longer needs. He has a lot of nerve to talk about moral superiority, etc.

Shep's "girlfriend" ghosted him already once, and she is a fan of the show who approached more guys than him.

Could JT be more of an unlikeable ****? Coddled by his mama, incapable of being NORMAL for two minutes, always having to incite? I agree with you all, Venita was just a story line. And she knew it... no reason to waste your Branzino on him girl.  His desperate painting of him hanging with the bro's was just so cringe.

Can we get more Venita playing host (just not to JT)? I'd love to watch more of her cutting herbs, setting out flowers, telling us the rules!

Can we get less of muppet mouth Austen demanding a friendship that only counts if its on his terms?

Can we get the butler a dumbwaiter? Come on Miss Pat, treating people like that is not a good look. (although when I saw all the stairs on the new Below Deck Down Under I realized it could be worse for service staff).
