He has his own addiction issues. Now that Lindsay is addressing her issues she tried to hold him accountable for his and he didn’t like that.

It's hard to say whether this lack of interest in anything else it's the cause or the consequence of their obesity, but it's definitely a vicious cycle... they feel too embarrassed and/or physically unable to participate in other activities or be among other people, so they eat to drown out the stress, and that makes them even less able to get away from food.  And lack of interest in any intellectual pursuits is, sadly, extremely common and not just among addicts.

Well, they rarely run around because they can never actually catch any food so they're always hot, hungry, and covered in bug bites. It's the stupidest premise for a show but yet people keep signing up for it year after year after year. It's never interesting, the people are not "pretty," and the scenery is usually just of bugs and rain. Dulls-ville.

So, what's everyone watching besides this? I started "A Remarkable Place to Die" which I find meh so far. BUT I found "Candice Renoir" on Acorn and I LOVE it.
