I need a new show! I'm all caught up on Death in Paradise. I'm watching Shetland but its so gloomy and I can't get a sense of the characters. All Perez does is furrow his brows and look concerned. I'm also watching Dalziel and Pascoe, its pretty enjoyable, but I'd like something with a woman protagonist. I loved No Offence and Scott and Bailey, for example. Any suggestions? The weather's going to be shit and I'll have the house to myself all weekend, so I would love to flake on the couch and binge something good. Doing lots of murder mysteries/police procedurals,  all British, don't like the American ones.

Many years ago, when I was still in high school, Love Story was the Big Thing. I went to see the movie with two friends. Two of us sat there and snarked and chortled through the whole thing. (Mawkish plot, shitty acting, name it. Nice for the beauty shots of Cambridge when poor people still lived there though). Our other friend was weeping and sobbing and wouldn't talk to us after the movie ended because we were so cold and unfeeling.

Nothing is catching my attention lately. I liked A Man On The Inside with Ted Danson. If you can do subtitles, see Finding Ola. Both on Netflix. About a woman who thought that the had the perfect husband and family, and then he asks her for a divorce. I absolutely adore Ola! It's Egyptian, so the scenery is gorgeous.
