Anyone know how tall Vanessa is?

Why oh why do they go out to eat in such places?  It’s disgusting to see them indulging in that food when it’s killing them.  It would anger me go be taken there. Once again, I’d just order coffee and water and wait until they finished then get a salad from a drive through or delivered to the house.

I quit watching somewhere around the 53rd F bomb. Seems like every other word is bleeped out. And why do the powers that be at TLC think that anyone would find constant bickering, cussing, farting, burping and ridiculous “vacations” entertaining? This is exactly why I quit watching the “Little Women Of….” series. I’m taking this show and the equally awful “1000 Pound Sisters” off my record list. I feel like I actually lose brain cells every time I watch these two shows. To those who continue to watch, thanks for taking one for the team and I’ll rely on your posts to keep me updated!

I have to say, at first I thought Meghan was the most annoying of this group.  But now Vanessa is becoming the most annoying.  She's doing exactly what Meghan and Ashley were afraid she'd do; claim that the others are jealous of her.  Why take it there if you want you all to support each other?   And I wonder why her knee is skinned up in her talking head interview.  🤔

Scott "didn't do enough research" to understand that the food in that restaurant was nothing but fried and fattening? Not buying it. He knew, but that's what he wanted.

I was surprised that Vanessa loaded up her plate the way she did. Even if it was her reward for a job well done, way to support your friends who are struggling and trying to do the right thing. Yeah, you fatties can't eat this stuff, but just watch me pig out in front of you.

Based on Ashley's plate, it's not likely there's a baby in her future either. If she's going to eat all the unhealthy food, she could at least exercise some portion control.

Scott's crying and tantrums are too much, too often. He claims to have had sex at some point in his life. Not buying that either.

That restaurant was Bulloch House in Warm Springs GA.  I went to the pre-2015 version. A previous historic location burned to the ground from a lightning strike in 2015.  Fortunately, no one was injured, but they relocated to the current location by the end of that year.

It's a lovely place, and they always have a buffet option that's grilled.   It's a southern Meat and Three place, with choice of entree, and three veggies/side dishes, and a huge dessert bar.     I would go there but I live three plus hours away now.

They must have been filming on their closed day, or very late at night, because that place is packed for every second they're open.     They don't do family style servings, so that must have been special for the filming too.    Their menus are online, and easy to find.   Another storyline for the show.

I really enjoyed the snow tubing, except for Scott whining about the conveyor up the slope.

By the way, next week is the season finale, for 1,000 lb Sisters, and 1,000 lb Best Friends.

I agree. I find I'm liking Meghan more and Vanessa less. I also like "New Tina," and hope she does well.

I also noticed Vanessa's knee. The first thing that occurred to me is that it might be a sex injury of some sort. I only went there because she won't shut up about making up for lost time. I still question how some of these people seem to have no problem finding partners. Maybe it's even true -- who knows?

OMG!!!  He really needs to stop all of that blubbering!  Man up dude!  By the Grace of God you were approved for weight loss surgery.  Why in the world would you still eat that fattening food when you're supposed to be on a liquid diet?  And why would the others let the only one of them that hasn't had the surgery pick the restaurant to eat at?  Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you supposed to maintain a high protein, low carb diet for the rest of your life after the surgery? It's so easy to stretch your stomach back to where it was and end up gaining all of the weight back.  I worry about Ashley and Vanessa getting too comfortable.

No mistakes were made, or the restaurant not researched thoroughly enough. I doubt  Scott made the plans.  All these types of things are producer driven. Maybe the cast members have an idea or suggestion. But the producers take over and make sure we have them doing crazy stuff.

Wasn't  Meghan right about taking the skin off the chicken? I know that Vanessa was also right -fried is fried - but taking the skin off would have helped a lot. But maybe that is covered in their pre and post op diets - no fried anything, even chicken with the skin off.  But in any cast, Vanessa could have let someone else finish a sentence.

They could have left, they could have asked if there was any way to get some grilled or baked chicken, or some kind of protein, and asked if they could get some veggies without all the butter, etc.  And if not , then you can politely leave because not everyone in your party can find something to eat.

Who I like and don't like really shifts on this show, moment to moment. I just get annoyed with the producer driven drama.

I felt like them cooking at the cabin was probably more real. Too many cooks in the kitchen, can be very annoying. But sheesh, if you don't like something you don't have to eat it  or choke it down, to not be rude. I think  it was a genuine question, like what is missing from the meatballs, not just someone saying that these meatballs suck. lol .   I think Ashley thought something probably got left out.

Well it doesn't matter but these big emotional blow ups over the silliest little things, is over done on this show and the other one, 1000 lb sisters.

I missed it where Meghan wants another surgery. I have seen her episode of Too Large and she has come a long way, but still  has a long way to go.  Has she talked to Dr Procter, and does she have a goal, or is she just talking about it?  I don't know when she had her first surgery, but her Too Large episode aired in 2021. Seems a little too soon to be asking for a revision. Maybe that is more common than I think. Even though both the shows I watch has had a repeat surgery.

I'm thrilled for Vanessa going from being too big to participate, to having no physical limitations. That's amazing. Could've done without all the curse words being screamed the whole way down by all of them-wow, clean up your mouth in public) but She has come so far. And it was a sweet moment between her and Megan, with the bathing suit scene.

However, Vanessa, if your shut your yap for a minute, you'd know Megan Didn't say skinless fried chicken was Healthy, just that it was the best option considering what was offered. But she just Had to be right, and lecture everyone. She was a bitch for rubbing it in Megan's face that she's thinner and telling Tina shed look like her if she ate that way. It might be true, but she wasn't being helpful just acting superior because she's thinner.  One minute she doesn't want to say her weight because she doesn't want to hurt their feelings, the next, she's a screeching know-it-all about what they should all be eating Except for Her and Ashlee, who loaded their plates like a binge was kicking off.  Careful girls, its VERY easy for that weight to come back.

Too much Scott, again. I dont need to know his every thought about everything ever.  I could not deal with him. New Tina was taking it too far with her insults, but the stomping off, crying, that's not just hunger. That's man baby bullshit ...crying at the weigh in 'lets go tell Ma!' Omg, I cant.

I wish the producers would stop with the Tempt the Fatties food scenes. I'd find it much more interesting to see them navigate eating healthy in a good restaurant-and I dont mean everyone ordering grilled chicken. These set ups are mean and stupid.

I did laugh at, 'I didn't know he could run that fast!' When the women hadn't even gotten out of the car before he claimed his bed.

Also, I loved what Megan said to New Tina when she was having anxiety about people seeing her struggle to get out not a tube, "they won't even remember you - this is Your life, have fun' paraphrasing. That was really sweet.

Apparently revisions are common.   Dr. Now said before that he does the sleeve version because it's much quicker on patients who have severe health issues.   Then if their weight loss slows, they can do the bypass or duodenal switch.

Yes, Megan has been admitting to fluctuating between 290 and 300 for a year, and she went to Dr. Procter and wanted a revision to keep losing weight, it was in an earlier episode this season.    He told her no revision considered until she loses a certain amount of weight.

For all their talk, Vanessa nor Ashley seem to be  really invested in a healthy lifestyle and permanent change in diet. Vanessa  indulging in piles of that food suggests she’s still obsessed.  It’s her business, but she’s still 188. Perhaps some of that is from extra skin.    Isn’t that still 40 pounds from her goal?  And, Ashley, who’s far from a goal, isn’t really at a place to celebrate like that, imo.  Their priorities seem very off, imo.

The restaurant does have grilled and baked options.  Their menus are online for the buffet and other menus.    They have to film at restaurants after hours or on their closed days, so they don't have to get waivers from everyone, and so people aren't acting in the background to get on TV.

I hate how she calls him Procter. It's so disrespectful.

Looked like Dillard House to me which is in the North Georgia mountains.  It's known for being family style and crap tons of food.  I find it hard to believe they've never heard of it

Opps sorry, i replied before reading.  Hangs head in shame
