Rodney Friday at 04:00 AM Share Friday at 04:00 AM (edited) So Margaret's back in regular contact with Taylor? That's nice, at least. Margaret has a tough time dealing with Jamie's birthday every year? It's really hitting her hard. And seeing how it actually happened . . . no wonder she's haunted by it. She blames herself for it. Looks like Dhan got Ethan back, so that's good. I hope this whole thing with Lacey losing her voice isn't a season-long thing. But I'm glad that she alerted her mother to how Sir's voice sounded. So Sir targets Zeke by triggering his agoraphobia? Clever . . . but cowardly. And he has pictures of everyone? Is he stalking everybody? So the victim this week was schizophrenic and ran away due to delusions of her dead father. I was hoping for another kidnapper. I'm guessing that Gabi ended up at her old high school. Makes sense, since that's where everything started with Sir. Can't believe we have to wait for nearly two months to see where this encounter's going to go! Trini Friday at 05:41 AM Share Friday at 05:41 AM Well, crap. I thought for sure we'd get a reveal, or at least another clue about Sir's accomplice. They showed Sir in an RV; so I thought the team would somehow make a connection. COTW: Figured the missing person was probably having delusions early on. Seems highly improbable though that a teen mother with schizophrenia was able to make so far on her own, and raised a seemingly normal child, though. Flashbacks: Ugh - Sir's such a creep! And Gabi's always been a fighter, but now we see how that started being literal. So Zeke's stuff getting confiscated didn't seem to affect anything at all. Has there been an episode without any input from Zeke's computer-fu? It might have been interesting to see the team deal with no Zeke for an episode. And he really can't use ANY tech? Besides being at least a bit unreasonable, how would one even enforce that? Poor Margaret, this episode. :( But I did like that they brought back her daughter, and that Dhan was able to talk her down. I don't think there have been many one-on-one scenes with Dhan and Margaret. Glad we finally got a flashback to the bus station incident. Well, I guess Sir having a plan to break up the M&A family raises the stakes, and makes it not only about Gabi anymore. But he wants to "cure" them? Oh man - I would hate it if he's the one to actually solve Jamie's disappearance. (Hopefully, me typing that out jinxed it!) Things that are getting old: a) Sir being able to get into close proximity to everyone but also still not being able to get recognized and/or arrested. b) Gabi confronting Sir on her own because it's PERSONAL. Like, girl - we know you're strong and all, and trying to get your revenge on, but do you want this guy caught or not? BRING BACKUP. 5 Link to comment
possibilities Friday at 08:54 AM Share Friday at 08:54 AM I find it beyond absurd that Zeke answers the door without checking to see who;s there first. He knows that there's a dangerous criminal out there (Sir) and this week he also thought there was someone stalking the girl who was staying with him. I'm not in the middle of kidnapping drama and I don't open the door without looking to see who's there. I just can't suspend disbelief that Zeke wouild be so careless. Likewise, I thought Lacey's mom disclosing details about Gabi to a stranger on the phone was idiocy. I don't really understand why she doesn't seem to have a clue about how to deal with the situation. Has no one briefed her on security protocols? And now we know Zeke can't use tech. I don't know what makes him think his father can fight the case for him-- he did in fact do what they accuse him of. Is he just so privileged that he thinks the law doesn't apply to him??? Or is it like Margaret not understanding why she has to stay away from the bus station, i.e. just part of a compulsion that overrrides rational perspective? How will M&A solve cases without using illegal tactics, i.e. warrantless searches by Zeke? Sir wanting to cure everybody as a way to "free" Gabi to return to him is in line with his delusions of grandeur, but I guess it's better than what I thought, which was that he was going to try to kill them all. 7 2 Link to comment
Dowel Jones Friday at 09:16 AM Share Friday at 09:16 AM Trent gets attacked while on a field assignment. Say, Trent, did you notice the big, bulky, object on your side that all police officers carry? Called a firearm? Or did you just want to duke it out to show who's the baddest in the woods. Zeke has all winter to figure out how to dodge the criminal charge against him. 2 Link to comment
DanaK Friday at 11:57 AM Share Friday at 11:57 AM Pretty good episode, but I fault the writers for not having the characters at least consider mental illness for the lady they were searching for 5 Link to comment

Why does Zeke check the Ring camera before opening the door to Trent but not to Sir? Did all of Zeke's computers just grow back? Why would Margaret not drive to the beach? 1 Link to comment
babyrambo Friday at 03:38 PM Share Friday at 03:38 PM Kelli William’s was great this week as Margaret, she continues to very convincingly sell the off footed dejection, resigned rage and sometimes straight up silliness of her situation. The scene at the beach was probably one of my favourite Margaret moments yet. And one of the few times I didn’t think the music choice on this show was too much. Seeing her flashback, I finally got why she feels so guilty about Jaime past the regular parental guilt at losing a kid. But I’m pretty over the young young!Gabi (&Lacey) flashbacks. They were helpful at establishing what life was like for them immediately post Sir, but they’ve made their point and now it just feels like they’re dragging it. I really don’t care for a play by play and I wish they’d just fast forward to baby Lacey speaking again and then be done with it. Case of the week was only okay, but I like that they’re switching things up with the victims and that it isn’t always perfect victim kidnapped->found alive and well. 9 hours ago, Trini said: It might have been interesting to see the team deal with no Zeke for an episode I hope they actually do this down the line. Some old school investigating can get really creative especially if the case isn’t overly dangerous. 9 hours ago, Trini said: Things that are getting old: a) Sir being able to get into close proximity to everyone but also still not being able to get recognized and/or arrested. b) Gabi confronting Sir on her own because it's PERSONAL. Same and same. I’ve accepted that he’s over powered but they write him like a low level Gotham villain and forget sometimes that he’s actually still just a man. And not a subtle one either. Him getting the jump on everyone all the time makes them look a little silly and unprepared. I’d be on guard 25/8 in their positions and yet he’s always around the corner with a sassy monologue in store. 5 1 Link to comment

Zeke continuing to just fling open that door all the time without checking doesn't make any sense. He knows Sir knows where they all are and how to get to them at any moment and he doesn't check the peephole at least? I had to laugh when it turned out that Sir's big plan to "get rid of him" wasn't the guy that beat up Trent but was him solving Zeke's agoraphobia. He's so arrogant he thinks he'll be able to do it. I guess Jamie will be walking into the front door of M&A by the end of the season. I really don't like Ethan and he rubbed me the wrong way in this episode. It felt like he was pushing Margaret to do what she almost did. Maybe he's not working with Sir but he's on his own plan to separate Dhan from M&A. I liked that Dhan was the one to talk Margaret down at the beach. It wasn't until they found the diaries that I started to suspect that Cain wasn't real. I just thought maybe she was writing a book and got lost in the fake character. The case didn't really hold my attention. Too much stuff was going on at the same time. I know I complain about Trent wanting to be friendly with the group while wanting to put Gabi in jail and letting the rest of them slide on things but Zeke's attitude with the "whatever, whatever, I do what I want" about using tech bothered me. Trent needs more evidence against Gabi to prove she held Sir in the basement but there's plenty to prove Zeke was hacking the police. 6 Link to comment

andromeda331 Friday at 06:44 PM Share Friday at 06:44 PM No way that Zeke would open his door without checking first. I was kind of hoping Trent would kick Sir's ass. That would have been so nice. I'm glad we got to see the flashback when Margaret lost Jamie. Yeah, that would be painful and feel so guilty for snapping at him right before it happened. I was surprised that Taylor was so good to her mom at the beach. I still don't like Ethan. I'm not sure how Alice/Olivia could raise a kid so well adjusted and without anyone realizing something was up with her. Gina was an idiot for giving out information about Gabi. Isn't Gabi living with her now? Wouldn't she know if Gabi was looking into schools? But I like that she was the one to started to teach Gabi to fight. I was hoping we'd find out who's helping Sir or a clue. 2 Link to comment

Zeke's ongoing mantra is that his dad will take care of everything. I really hate how they treat Trent. They seem to expect him to not do his job and overlook whatever crimes they commit. Trent went to bat for Zeke to not get hauled out of his apartment even though Zeke broke the law and violated Trent's privacy. Gabby pulls an attitude when Trent walks into her office, saying he's lost that privilege, yet she stomps into the police station like she owns it . Trent allows her to access the RV but she hides a clue from him. Edited Friday at 11:10 PM by cfinboston Spelling 5 3 Link to comment

Zeke broke into Trent's computer again in the episode after getting in trouble. I know it's to find Sir. But he already flipped out and got mad at Trent when he got in trouble the last time. 1 Link to comment

I can't remember if we always see him check his door camera when someone knocks, but even if he doesn't always, it was ridiculous for him not to do it here, esp (as you said) with the girl being with him to be safe. Quote Sir wanting to cure everybody as a way to "free" Gabi to return to him is in line with his delusions of grandeur, but I guess it's better than what I thought, which was that he was going to try to kill them all. When I was watching this ep, I was constantly interrupted so I didn't catch everything. When did Sir say he wanted to free Gabi and cure everyone? Was this when he came to Zeke's door? I have to admit, I started feeling more sympathy for her. When I started watching this show, I really liked her character, but with the past few eps, I've really disliked her. I get her trauma, but she needs to be in therapy. And was she going to walk into the ocean and kill herself? I bet Taylor would have felt just great about that. /s Quote I’ve accepted that he’s over powered but they write him like a low level Gotham villain and forget sometimes that he’s actually still just a man. Maybe with her meds she had been fine all these years. Unfortunately that wellness spa woman convinced her to get off her meds. BTW, I knew that woman was part of the problem. I thought she might have been in on the supposed kidnapping, but it turns out she was just an arrogant, incompetent shyster. I was a bit confused when Sir was in the RV. Again, I was probably distracted during that scene, but why did he have photos of the M&A people? I assume he was there to help with this missing person case, because didn't he say something like "the man wasn't involved?" (I hate getting interrupted when I'm watching a program.) He seems to think Gabi is bonded to M&A because they need her, and if she felt they were all okay, she would go back to him. 2 Link to comment
peeayebee 16 hours ago Share 16 hours ago Thank you. So we're going to see him try to help everyone heal. Find Margaret's son... I wonder what he plans to do re Dhan and Lacey. Haven't we been seeing Lacey sneaking peaks at her phone? Maybe he's communicating with her, though of course she wouldn't know it's him. 2 Link to comment
