The captions said six weeks earlier, for the hitman scenes with Sarah.   

Beth's community service was a condition of the plea bargain for her assaulting the woman in the bar fight.

This will absolutely not happen in this show. Taylor’s other prequels showed the horrors that happened when Native Americans were forced to boarding schools.  Monica and Rainwater won’t stand for it. 

In addition, James Dutton was told in 1883 that the ranch land would return to the Native Americans in 7 generations. That’s Tate.   The land will return to him.  
 

That’s not to say he won’t go off on some adventure for the next couple episodes.  The series ends this season anyway.

That's probably right.  That feels like it was yeeeaaars ago and gone and forgotten, but in Yellowstone world it was only 6 episodes.  I kind of thought the woman dropped the charges because it was explained the havoc it would cause in her own life, but who can remember that far back?  And it seems like the guy supervising her work detail was also the one who was called to arrest Monica until Beth took care of that, so it makes sense he would back down on the work detail, which I thought was weird too.  He already knows about Beth and what upsetting her looks like.
