And more often than not, I found her to be the voice of reason at times, and one of the more mature voices. Gina was the only one who was self-aware enough in real time to self-correct her behavior during the season. She started out bad, but managed to flip to voice of reason. That’s why I disliked her playing into the other women’s game against Katie at the reunion; I was “No Gina! You were doing so good!” 7 4 Link to comment

Who would think that the person who got into a DUI right after the last OC reunion would come out looking the best? I don't like that she flees all the time, but at least she was in control. The nasty nasty ladies: Heather, Tamra, and Emily are beyond the pale. Innocence project Emily hammering poor Katie, over what was clearly a sad time in her life made me hate her. Condescending Heather "I am still talking...." with the shriveled-up mug showing every line and frown effects over the years. Tamra was revealed as having the highest salary this week with Shannon just under her salary. This pissed me off too. She is being rewarded for being so cruel, when she herself is a mean drunk. Without major changes for next season I am out. It truly is. I stopped watching on Thursdays, intending to catch up later, but honestly, I really don’t give a damn anymore. I just happened to be up way early this morning and caught the reunion. Although I’ve not been following, I was still able to understand what was going on because it’s the same old shit, lather rinse repeat. I’m here for the reruns of the early seasons. But the past couple years, especially with Tamra and Heather and their toadies Emily and Gina, have made my head hurt. I think there comes a point when a franchise reaches the end of the road. I’ve read that about NY and NJ. OC may be there too. Yanno, I watch these shows for entertainment. Nothing entertaining about this anymore. Tamra can take her faux concern about Shannon and shove it. Heather can continue to eat Shannon’s lemons, given the way she puckers up. (Heather needs a face consult with Terry, too…if I’m going to be a bitch here, I’m going all the way.) They both worked - she has an MBA and he has a law degree but at a certain point it made no sense for her to continue to work when she could be a full time parent. She did a lot of community service type things as well as living her best life. Her husband continued to work but he was also much more able to pursue his passions for writing without worrying about income stream. This is the life I want. Only I want a small patch of land where I can raise goats and chickens. 😄 1 4 Link to comment

Especially considering most of the clients the Innocence Project helps. She’s doing it for show…she’s got a LAW DEGREE, after all. 2 Link to comment

Not sure why I still watch them. Emily has been way too into Jenns finances and now Ryan’s doings. I love that Jenn called her out about the in laws supporting her. Same here. I started watching 90 day fiance to avoid the reunion. It's always just a bunch of screaming and yelling. Nothing is resolved Edited Thursday at 10:34 PM by Workslame 3 Link to comment

Mindthinkr Friday at 02:09 AM Share Friday at 02:09 AM I never would have guessed that Emily has the least worth. Both she and her husband have law degrees. I guess they don’t have much of a work ethic or as I’ve heard others say: live out of his parents pockets. I also thought the Dubrows were richer (not that they don’t have a lot of money). The way they’ve done real estate made me think they had much more. Interesting article @RoseAllDay Thank you for posting it. 1 Link to comment

Her justification is that "he talks to her unlike her ex-husband." I guess she doesn't want to admit she made a monumental mistake. And she is like Ryan if she supports him, and attacks the other women about non issues (Emily and Shane supposedly getting financial help from his parents) to divert the attention from the elephant in the room. You make a good point. I wonder if it's too much for Jenn to swallow that she left her husband and children for this guy, and it turns out he's not all that and a bag of chips. Not saying the article is accurate on any front (though it's amusing to think Gina is worth more than Emily, which could be true if Emily lives off of her inlaws), but it does specifically mention that most of Jenn's wealth is from her family's pharma business. That could definitely be worth LOADS, but wouldnt give her access to tons of cash unless it sells. 2 Link to comment

I totally understand the appeal of wanting a large family and to be able to be a stay-at-home mom/homemaker. But some of the women advocating this lifestyle dismiss how expensive life is and act like all women could easily get away without having degrees or jobs. I think it's so important to have a backup plan even if you can opt out of the workforce for a while. For example, Emily could always get back to using her law degree when her kids are older if she wants to. Jenn comes from family money, has pretty privilege, and between a reality show and yoga business, has been technically working for a while. Her life could still end up very stressful if shit hits the fan with Ryan. Granted, a lot of the tradwife content creators advocate simple living and would never think of wearing a $2,000 dress, but I still think Jenn's life is a cautionary tale. 3 1 Link to comment
