Twins! Surprising absolutely nobody. I expect us to see some good freak outs next week, though. If I’m Jo and Link, I would be legit losing it. Four kids in diapers. Four car seats to fit in a car. Two cars actually, since their schedules don’t always align. Figuring out the stroller situation for four. Four of them not sleeping through the night. And my goodness, the way viruses will wreak havoc in that household!

Not to mention as the children grow up you have three that live in the home full-time and one (Scout) who’s 50-50 between parents. Can’t imagine Scout’s not going to have some feelings about that 10 years down the line!

I’m glad Bailey took responsibility for pressuring Simone into checking in on Ben. She could’ve said no but Bailey is her boss so I understand her hesitance. Could take or leave Ben being back in the fold, (this cast feels too bloated already) but I like it when they mix up the usual pairs of interns and seeing him get friendly with the interns could be fun.

I didn’t really care for the fertility angle with Yasuda’s sister’s cancer, but the casting and acting was good. I still wish the actress was leaving on a better note though.

For whomever in the audience Schmidt in his underwear was meant for, hope you enjoyed it!

He and the chaplain already have way more chemistry than him and Nico did.

Nico had the charisma of a block of wood.  Levi could flirt with a park bench and there would be more chemistry.

Ben is dying his hair at this point, no?  I could swear he used to be a lot more grey and suddenly his hair is an unnatural shade of black.  I'm also a little confused about his residency.  He's several years ahead of the interns, right?

So I missed the show because I lost track of time and forgot to turn the TV back on (that's what happens when there's an hour in between shows I actually watch)...not sure what to expect there now.

I don't care much about spoilers, generally (if I did I wouldn't regularly read the thread before watching the episode, obviously), but when I saw the description saying they get "surprising news" that was my first thought, because of course it's twins. Grey's being Grey's, I'm only surprised they didn't make it triplets or more.

Can someone remind me how old these existing kids are?  Seems like many many seasons ago that they came into the picture.  Scout is Linc and Amelia's, right?  And Jo adopted one (former patient?)  And they were more or less the same age?

The show seems to like to introduce a baby or two every few seasons, then we barely see them again.  I'm starting to wonder if the series is going to end (if it ever actually does) à la ER

Spoiler

and Mark Greene's daughter, but with Meredith's daughter Zola starting her internship and accidentally sleeping with her boss.

(Spoiler only if you haven't seen the finale of ER but you're still planning to.)

Scout was born right before the pandemic started (so spring 2020) and Luna was born the next season, so late 2020 or maybe early 2021. However, time passes oddly on Greys. The last time we saw those kids they definitely were not 4.

Also, the interns have been in their intern year for three seasons now. I think Bailey said they have 4 months left?

If it helps, I think the original interns (Mere, Alex, Izzie, George, Christina) were interns for three seasons.  Though I could swear they said something about Adams needing to repeat his intern year?  It's not entirely clear.

Yeah, I believe Jo adopted the baby of a nurse at the hospital who died after childbirth?

I never try to figure out what the timeline is on this show. That's an easy way to go crazy. Even before COVID there was Meredith's lost year after Derek died.

Did the book Schmidt  found at the end, was that a wedding album.

Looked like it.

So, married and cheating? Divorced? Husband died? Chaplain* has an identical twin brother** and it was actually his wedding album and the twin died and that's why Chaplain has it? So many possibilities.

*No, I do not know Chaplain's name and I don't care enough to go find it.

**I just remembered he said he was an only child. Identical cousin, then, a la The Patty Duke Show.

I don’t really care about Schmidt still but this is as close as I’ve come in a very long time so I hate this being his out.

I think they said about Ben that he’s a 4th year but he needs an exam to see if he still meets those standards so he’s with the interns until then.

lucas is going to repeat the year or at least right now. George found a way around it.

Yeah, it's like they make Schmitt interesting right before he leaves. Same with Yasuda's relationship with Jules, though I think Yasuda has consistently been relatively interesting (unlike Schmitt).

I offer the possibility he has more than one personality, one of which is married.
