catherinejane October 4 Share October 4 Very disappointed that Leo and Brittany got dropped. That would be good drama to watch. the other 6 couples are a bit boring/suited. Though Hannah does not seem happy with nick. He seems fine to me. But she wants some beefy man. hopefully episode 6 and all meet up is more interesting. Though no “I nearly picked you” in these couples? 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149774-s07e05-what-the-duck/#findComment-8472137

Since he played football I think Hannah was hoping for a Travis Kelce type. She wants somebody who makes her look small. It didn't help that he asked her if she would consider plastic surgery if he had the money for it. Kickers aren’t necessarily the tallest, the heaviest or the most muscular players on the team. I think she let her imagination get away from her. 11 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149774-s07e05-what-the-duck/#findComment-8472970
LakeGal October 7 Share October 7 Hannah & Nick got to meet. Hannah was obviously not happy with what she saw. She really did have the idea he was going to be a big beefy football player. Nick is not short. Even with her heels he was still not shorter than her. But she was definitely rethinking her choice. Brittany & Leo got to meet. I did not think Brittany was happy. Leo gets more annoying the longer he is on the show. It is probably good for him that he got dropped from the Mexico trip. But I was disappointed we didn't get to see Hannah and Leo meet. I did read a clip from an interview that said the show could only follow up to 6 couples. They had to drop some of them. They did not think Leo & Brittany would be a successful couple. They were right because they broke up. Marissa & Ramses met. They seem like a really good couple. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149774-s07e05-what-the-duck/#findComment-8475049

The producers made the right choice. The show is now a victim of its success, where the men and women are trying to get cast and matched for fame and fun vs. participating in the so-called experiment. Leo could not have been more obvious in his desperation to propose to someone, anyone, in order to get featured and go to Mexico. And Brittany said yes to a proposal from a guy she so clearly didn’t like or even “connect” with. It was so obvious. I’m glad they were dropped. 10 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149774-s07e05-what-the-duck/#findComment-8476104
Irlandesa October 9 Share October 9 Given how much screen time they dedicated to Leo and Brittany, I suspect there are other reasons they were dropped. For instance, I doubt they went on a vacation together. 4 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149774-s07e05-what-the-duck/#findComment-8476340
SoMuchTV October 9 Share October 9 Lol, I just noticed in the men’s quarters, they were playing what looked like a Connect Four game, but instead of being primary-color plastic, the frame was metallic gold to match the goblets. 6 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149774-s07e05-what-the-duck/#findComment-8476811

She asked Leo what he loves about her, and IIRC, after he said a few things, she wanted him to name even more. Yet when he asked her what she loved about him, she came up with nothing, then she said something about feeling pressured, and then finally she came up with something that was situational about something he had done/said but wasn't anything actually about him as a person. Once I saw that, I knew they were doomed. Also, another bad sign was that she said yes to an engagement, but wasn't ready to say "I love you" to him? And then what the hell was wrong with him that he said he would accept it if she never said it?! 5 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149774-s07e05-what-the-duck/#findComment-8481850
hoodooznoodooz November 2 Share November 2 Wow. It surprised me how obvious it was that Hannah was NOT happy meeting Nick face to face. Nick didn’t look happy either. But he really tried not to show his disappointment. I’m confused. Hannah kept insisting in the pods that guys only dated her because she was “hot,” not for her great personality. But in my opinion, she actually does not think that she is “hot.” 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149774-s07e05-what-the-duck/#findComment-8497293

But in my opinion, she actually does not think that she is “hot.” I would possibly read "hot' here as "easy." It doesn't take Sigmund Freud to conclude that Hannah's mom imposed on her body-image/self-esteem issues as a kid, including, but not limited to, locking up the snacks to keep her out of them. And that was of course compounded by unfair stigmas for about women's bodies society-wide. Hannah has also mentioned that she gained weight due to the pandemic and lost 45 pounds relatively recently. Hopefully she is satisfied with her successes, but I imagine that a) she is not and b) the more significant relationships she had with guys were all pre-Covid/weight gain and that she probably is thinking that the weight gain is a/the culprit. But then again, if she is to be taken at face value, she quit her job to be on this show. Which means leads to one or more things being true: a) she's crazy/stupid b) she had a sucktastic job that she was wanting to quit anyway c) she's got some money that she can rely on and didn't need the job anyway d) she's so optimistic that she can get a similar/better job that this wasn't that big a deal to her (see a) e) she was so optimistic in finding true romance that it was worth giving up her job (see a). 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149774-s07e05-what-the-duck/#findComment-8539158
