Yeah, Hannah is a piece of work. I don't understand a 26 year old who knows so much she can 'school' Nick into being boyfriend/husband material. If I was him I'd bolt, if she doesn't like him that much now in the 'honeymoon' phase, what does he think is going to make it better?  Couldn't stand Brittany but I have no idea why she said yes after all that manipulation.  And I don't see what Leo loved about Hannah, she seems pretty clueless about everything.

I don't even know if I have super strong opinions on anyone.  Maybe Hannah.

I used to love this show but I found this season so difficult to watch.  I'm not connecting to the couples.  And have the episodes always been this long?  I think they were all over an hour.

Other than a season happening in a town where I've lived coming up, I might be done with the US version and just focus on the international versions.  At least those have different twists to them due to the different cultures.

Yeah, I think there was an editing or filming  fail there. I don't remember seeing Alex do or say anything that would have offended Tim so much that he noped out, packed his bags and moved out of their suite. I'm not even sure their last conversation was the same night as the couples get together.

Early on I thought they'd made a lot of good matches for a change, except for whoever ended up with Hannah and Leo. After seeing the previews for Oct 9th

Spoiler

it looks like all of the couples implode, just like always.

Love might be a bit blinder if the participants were all in their 60s and 70s.

I feel like they have dialed in to a formula that feels pretty stale at this point.

They gave us a lot more pod minutes this time but I wish it had been used on more people.  They focus into the couples that end up together so quickly that the element of mystery, surprise and discovery is completely gone.

I would rather see a bigger picture of all singles  dating and see how other dates go so that when we get to the final couple we have some bigger context.  It is obvious a lot of the women dated Nick. They ALL had ideas about him.  They said he gave off BDE in the pods so they were surprised how 'small' he looked in person.  I think they were all expecting someone like Travis Kelce.  So WTF did he say to them? All we saw was him moping about Hannah. And for that matter, why were so many of the guys so smitten by Hannah?  WTF did she say to them?

Which brings me to the appearance issue.  A real experiment has rules and guidelines you have to abide by or you run the risk of introducing bias into the result. For instance, in a blind drug trial the participants really don't know if they got the placebo or the real drug so that legitimacy of the drug results aren't compromised.  I feel like the legitimacy of this "experiment" is compromised because they disclose too much about appearance.  I think it would be smarter if they strictly limited what you could disclose and made it a absolute rule of the show.  Obviously some things can be gleaned from accent, voice, idioms etc. but people like Marissa and Stephen giving exact ethnicity percentages feels like such a cheat.  That is why I really liked Taylor sticking to her guns about not disclosing.

And speaking of Stephen, I think one of the funniest parts of the show has been his ever changing ethnic make up. Is he .003% black? 3/4ths? 3/5ths? 10%?  LOL

And yeah WTF happened between Alex and Tim?  One of the scenes earlier she seemed to just be really humorless about something and her vibe turned me right off.  And then we get the argument that happened off camera.  I was on his side because he has seemed very emotionally available and she seemed like the smallest thing could set her off.  His face at the end of the episode was that of a man who was severely rethinking his decisions.

And finally, Hannah.  Just too immature for words.  How is Nick gooffily riding on ducks with a some other person who acted goofily with him is disrespectful to you? Maybe if you had taken that stick out your ass and done it with him you wouldn't have been such a miserable sow.  And no, that woman did not call you a 'jealous bitch.'

Did Nick and Hannah ever discuss whether or not she was competitive? Nick is competitive with a capital C, and it sounds like it's all physical challenges. Maybe Hannah is the trivia quiz queen, but doesn't enjoy physical sports, in which case bail out now before you both really resent being pushed into something you don't like just to amuse your partner. On the other hand, if she's into softball/pickleball/golf, etc then steer Nick into stuff you will both enjoy.

By the way, I think Nick went for Hannah because other guys wanted her.

I stayed away from the forums to avoid spoilers until I'd watched the available episodes forgetting this one has individual episodes threads. So, of course, I forgot much of what happened when...

Nick/Hannah - Nick, run. Hannah is dumb immature bitch. She quit her job for this? Also, he told you he was a punter/kicker, they're all tiny. She has terrible posture and over-inflated sense of self.

Tim/Alex - I like him, but she seems humorless and bitchy. Sounds like she may be a mean drunk too. Whatever happened, it must've been ugly for him to pack & leave.

Stephen/Monica - They just don't seem comfortable around each other. He's trying too hard while she's looking at her own reflection in his sunglasses.

Garret/Taylor - originally my favorite couple, I just liked their nerdy vibe. I didn't have the same reaction to his question about her ethnicity but I get why it gave others pause. I just wish they'd relax and have a bit more fun, they're both so tense.

Ramses/Marissa - too cute, their energy completely matches. We don't all need to hear about the sex though.

Tyler/Ashley - I love this couple. They seem completely in sync and I like how they communicate. Hoping they make it.

Agree that it was nice to see more of the pods but, as others noted, too much time focused on a small few. Wouldn't it be great to have an episode or two focused on those who didn't match? Like a dating blooper reel.

Alex has been a sourpuss from the minute she stepped out of the pods.  She keeps poking at Tim, little things like about how she hates his style, with nothing positive to counterbalance, no little laugh or show of sarcasm.

Just a bunch of straight-up insults.  We have no idea what specifically happened, but I'm glad Tim found his backbone.  He seems like a great guy, and he will have no trouble finding a beautiful gal once we (hopefully) watch him say No at the altar.

My favorite couple is Ashley & Tyler.  They are so kind to one another.  I do hope this continues.

Looks like trouble ahead for Garrett & Taylor.  I did not love the way he bristled when, in the pods, she didn't want to reveal her mom's name due to him knowing her ethnicity.  Garrett, dude, this is supposed to be "Blind".  Looks like an ex from his past has reached out to him....we shall see.

I thought Alex had been getting irritated with Tim for some time. He kept making jokes about ‘my dawg’ and each time she seemed to get more and more irritated. To him it seemed like innocent jokes, but he wasn’t reading the room and noting her reaction. It seemed obvious that she didn’t appreciate it. And the fact that he wasn’t reacting to her (acknowledging, listening, etc) just made it worse.

Not saying she was right, but her reaction was her reaction. And he didn’t pick up on it.

I dismissed it too. I thought he was referring to his buddies. Did she think he was calling her a dog?

I felt sorry for the acupuncture person that had to listen to Monica and Stephen talk repeatedly about boners.    The first couple times okay but they kept saying it repeatedly.    I could see the poor guy trying to laugh through it but it was too much. There's something about Monica that I don't like either.   She seems fake to me.
