Commercial break! I know you're all panting for an update on my life! 

Bathroom renovation is underway! Went over to chat with the contractor on day two and it was fully demo'd. Thursday I picked out my fixtures and tile. The plumbers will start in a few days. I am so excited! My brother is writing checks with great equanimity. 

My mother was just moved to the rehab facility today. We'll go see her tomorrow. She's very frail and seems very vague. We're hopeful but suspect she'll be there for quite a while. 

Oops, back to the show! Anyone else have anecdotes?

Well I had a weird week.. my oldest son turned 25!  But that night, I got a call from one of my friends from back home and he told me that a mutual friend died at work that morning.  It was quite the shock.  We're all pretty devastated.  I will be flying back home to CA once I know when the funeral is.

In other news, I plan to drive to my boyfriend's place in a truly slutty dress tonight.

I had two interviews today. Both early stage and seemed to go well. For one of them, however, I have never seen the job description. I know all the OTT background and experience they want from me, but nothing that says this is what we want you to do. It's a contract so it would just be to get something while I keep looking. It's supposed to be contract to hire, but I can already tell they just torture you because they figure they have you over a barrel. 

Also, my former company officially went under on Monday.

Right? We were convinced he was going to be a controlling abuser, but he seems like a very stable guy in comparison to his wife and mother. Maybe this is why he was constantly chiming in on the security intercom. He knew Tennie could not be left to her own devices to make rational choices.

I bought a toilet and a separate bidet toilet seat, the fancy kind, heated! It cost more than the toilet!

I took my 85 year old mother and one of her friends to a quilt show today. I can even imagine the work that went  into those quilts. Amazing work.
